The store condition is very clean which I appreciated. The merchandise was well priced so I knew how much everything was. The cashier named James was very polite and efficient at his job. I just felt sorry for him because he was the only one there at the busiest time of the day when everyone gets off of work, there were probably 10 people waiting in line. 7/13/21 I received an email for PERFECT WEEKLY 3.0 Liter at 40% off. Walked in and saw the same product 2 of these for $99. Merit helped me at the register and stated it didn't apply and I that perhaps only online. Not so, I told her because I was prompted to order either online or pickup at this store. She stated she couldn't do the discount because she needed a barcode. Well.... It's your ad! I'm here to buy 2 bottles. She fumbled around with my account for rewards. I had $21 and she said I only had $3. She also stated she couldn't give me the $5 off of $25 because no barcode. Hello! I found the barcode with no help from her! She stated that some lady came in earlier and she didn't give her the 40% off....which I guess she was implying that I was out of luck, as well! All I'm saying is KNOW your deal before you go in to pay more than is necessary. Pool ownership is expensive. Coupons are sent out via email and rewards are earned via your LESLIE'S APP. I was able to purchase 2 products $59.99x 2 would've been $120 plus tax. I left and only spent $58.70. I was able to use my $21 rewards , 40% off plus $5 off $25. Ryleigh and other employees will not volunteer this info. Instead she made it seem like the email I received from their company didn't apply. LOL! Stick to your guns and walk out if they make you feel like you're asking for something that doesn't apply. You must navigate your own app and your own email. They will act like they don't know what you're talking about. 6/27/21 Merit was the gal that assisted us today. She tested our water and suggested some pool chemicals. She went into detail explaining each test result. I believe if you walk in this store wanting to test your water, you will always "need," something. Some of the chemicals mentioned we have never used or needed in the 25 years we have owned our pool. While we appreciate the sales girl, Merit, we will try to do some research on our own and come back when this stuff is on sale. $75 for a quart of phosphate killer is a lot of money. Phosphate test result returned with 3000 plus and yet we don't have an algae problem. My husband tried explaining to her that there were 2 chemicals he just used with good results. He got a little frustrated and overwhelmed with all the other information so we decided to leave. My only recommendation for sales Reps., here is maybe consider turning us hard to convince customers over to someone who may have a little more experience. I wasn't convinced. She clearly needed help because we weren't buying into her spiel. 5 stars for this store. Don't know what we'd do with out them. read more

The free water testing is great. The staff is knowledgeable and helped me troubleshoot some issues. I've been a pool owner for 2 years now and haven't paid a pool service company once because Leslie helps me keep my chemical in check and pool looking amazing. Minus one star because you can find chemicals slightly less expensive elsewhere but, is it worth the second errand to save $1-$2? Not really, you'll spend it in gas. read more

We visited 3 times trying to fix our pop-up pool water, everytime we go, we always have different person helping, every time they test water and tell us to buy this and that and we follow their instructions, the water gets murkier and greener every time. After doing this 3 times we spent enough money and the picture is our final result. What should I do? My guess is we will get a different person again and just like usual, that person will do nothing but water testing and give us a guide only based on the water test and don't care about why this isn't working. What's the point of the water testing anyway? Do we get a refund for all the big jugs of expensive chemical we bought? I guess not. What a waste of time and money. read more

This review is for Leslie's on California Oaks in Murrieta. I went in on Saturday Jan 20 and salesperson Aireana assisted me. She was pleasant and said they would call me in a couple hours which they did not. After calling numerous times to no avail, I finally got through close to closing. Aireana said oh it just got done 5 hours later. She couldn't admit to her fault and say she forgot to call me and said to come pick it up. Which I hurried there and arrived in 15 minutes. As I begin to walk up she locks the door and says we are closed ...I'm like you said come down and you lock the door in my face! I then knock on the door and she keeps her head down and refuses to make eye contact. I come the next day Jan 21 and say I'm here, she didn't apologize and I really didn't want to deal with her! Horrible customer service...come on Aireana, you're better than that! read more

They do have a lot of products in stock, that if you need in a hurry they probably will have. They will check your water chemistry for you at no charge, and like any business they will try and sell you something to address the results of a problem that they find in that test. But you are going to pay a very high price for they sell you. They charge over $83.00, not including tax or shipping, for a quart of phosphate remover that I use, I found it on Walmart.com For $122.67 for I gallon (4 quarts) of the same product which included tax and shipping. I do have to wait 7 days to have it delivered though. If you need it now, they can be a good resource but be aware of the high prices you are going to pay. read more

I needed supplies for our spa so stopped at this store around 9:15am today. The clerk acknowledged he knew I entered the store. He was testing pool water free of charge for another customer. Ok so I hunt around and find what I need and take it to the check out. Nothing was said he kept working on the test. I waited about 10 minutes more and finally asked if it would be much longer. Leslie's Pool Supplies - Summer Time Fun! - Hot Tub & Pool Near Me - Murrieta, California

This review is more representative of seeking service through Leslie's than "in store". I will say at this location they are usually understaffed causing frustration, however... I went to this location to schedule a service appointment to have someone come out and look at my pool heater. The guy comes out, takes the covers off and immediately states, "you need a new heater". I inquired about the cost and he states $2500 bucks. No disassembly, no troubleshooting, just, you need a new heater. He proceeded to tell me the life span on these heaters is about 7 or 8 years, which also happened to be the age of mine. I let it go thinking I'd have to wait till tax season to replace it, so for the last 6 months, I have been unable to use my spa because, "I needed a new heater". Over the weekend, my pool pump finally gave up the ghost. I called Flamingo Pool Service out, (who was awesome by the way, I highly recommend them) to install a new variable speed pool pump. I asked him to take a look at the heater. He determined I had some damage from rodents, was able to replace a few parts (cost totaling $300), and had my heater running like a champ inside of 20 minutes. Leslie's is fine for in store purchases and water testing, but I will NEVER seek service through them again...they're a disgrace!!! read more

I purchased a variable speed pool pump on 6/29/18 with installation paid at the time of purchase. My install date was 7/6/18 between 12-5pm so I took the afternoon off to meet with my installer, Rolando. Once he arrived he informed me that my plumbing was tight and I needed a relocation bracket and that he would reschedule the install. After waiting a few days to hear from him or Leslie's I decided to visit the store and inquire myself. The employee told me I was scheduled for 7/11/18 between 12-5pm. Although news to me, I agreed and took a few hours off to get here by 3 as I informed Rolando and the store previously. They were both instructed that they could enter the yard and conduct the work and I would meet up with him on the tail end. As of 4pm, 7/11/18, Rolando was yet to show so I called the store once again only to be told that he wouldn't be coming out because I hadn't paid for the relocation bracket. On 7/6/18 when he was in the yard speaking to me directly I asked how I was to pay for the bracket and he stated that I could pay him directly on the day of the install. As we creep past week two with still no solid date on the install I'm left second guessing my decision. In addition, the advertised $49 install quickly became $190? I've had nothing but great experiences with Leslie's but this has pushed me over the edge. read more
