Poor communication, poor follow-through, and ultimately another shop had to take over I chose this Caliber location through the Travelers claims process after a May 12 collision. The repair itself was not the only problem. The bigger issue was the lack of ownership and follow-through. I noticed a bumper fitment issue before leaving the shop. They acknowledged it and attempted to correct it with an OEM replacement bumper. When that didn't resolve the issue, additional parts were pursued. The problem remained unresolved for nearly three months, with me repeatedly having to follow up for updates and coordinate return visits. There were recurring staffing and scheduling issues, including a scheduled vehicle pickup that the shop failed to make. I understand employees get sick and staffing issues happen. What I don't accept is the customer repeatedly having to absorb the consequences. When I finally asked Travelers to move the repair, the larger Caliber location near I-17 and Bell took ownership of the situation at my request. They independently evaluated the vehicle, identified that the fitment was not acceptable, and ultimately completed the repair correctly. A repair can encounter problems. What matters is how the business manages those problems. In my experience, I had to repeatedly chase this repair rather than having the shop proactively manage it. The contrast between the two Caliber locations was striking. One required nearly three months of follow-up and escalation; the other took ownership and got the vehicle properly repaired. I don't expect every repair to be perfect on the first attempt. I do expect a repair facility to communicate, keep its commitments, and take ownership when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at this location. read more

DO NOT USE THIS SHOP! They are dishonest. I had 3 other estimates after this shop did their estimate. The other estimates were all under $6000. Caliber's estimate was over $14,000. They fraudulently stated I needed to replace gas cap and housing, roof racks, quarter panels, spare tire, etc. It was all lies. I needed NONE of that. Then they refused to let me pick up my car saying it was not drivable and I would have to have it towed. Also a lie. I went back into their lot and drove my car out just fine. They padded the estimate in order to claim my vehicle was totaled so they could fix it and re-sell it. Horrible. Do not trust this shop. read more

They most disappointed experience ever, took my car to this location, after an accident . Did an inspection, with the tech, identified all issues with the car. Told the technician, I need my windshield replaced and the molding on my back tire. Even if my insurance company didn't cover it. He agreed, told me he would contact me if the insurance company wasn't covering it. I told him go ahead and fix it and send me the quote. Imagine how surprised I was, to receive a text message at the time of pick up, 15 days later, with quote for one of the items that I asked to be fixed. Then to be told, once he has the parts, it will only take 15 minutes. Did I mention, my car was with them for two weeks!!!!Please somebody make this make sense for me!!! No apologies , no accountability just excuses. Do better!! read more

My experience at Caliber was a rocky road but ended on a high note. I was in an accident where I was rear-ended by an uninsured driver. I ran it through my insurance which recommended Caliber. My jeep grand Cherokee was with Caliber for almost two months being repaired which was ridiculous. The tech working on my car was nice but he kept giving false promises of when the car would be done. Due to the length my car was in the shop, my insurance stopped covering rental coverage after one month. This was very unfortunate and neither caliber or my insurance could give me an answer on how my rental would be taken care of. I blame this more on my insurance but unsure who really was at fault since they both gave me conflicting information. After the car was finished, I had a noticeable noise from the area of repairs that was rattling. I contacted the GM, Tim, who was responsive and told me to bring it in to check it out. He thought he found the cause but the noise problem returned about a day later. I reached back out again and Tim agreed to take a more detailed look into the issue. They were able to fix the issue free of charge and he wiped off a scratch on my car unrelated to my repairs. Tim's hospitality was good and turned my experience with Caliber from bad to decent. It shows how good customer service can redeem a poor experience. I would give caliber another chance due to this. read more

Caliber Collision - Before / After - Body Shops Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

NEVER use this untrustworthy business!! Not only did the employee "Louie" give me a FALSE email address when I requested it for adding my correspondence between State "FUCK YOU" Farm and shady Caliber Collision, they didn't do a thorough inspection of my Jeep (it wasn't until I asked if they checked something major did I find out they don't do quality work), BUT someone named Daniel signed off on my Jeep before I even signed my e-docs with my insurance company and let AII tow it away without me knowing and being able to get my license plate/frame and personal effects from my Jeep!! And Louie flat out LIED to me when I asked whom this "Daniel" dude was that signed off on letting my Jeep get towed (towed way at 12:52pm when docs weren't even signed until 1:40pm) telling me that there was no Daniel at their shop...AII employee gave me this info and sent image to my work email when I spoke to them to get my facts before calling the shady LIARS at Caliber Collision... AND AND AND to add insult to injury Caliber Collision TOOK my fancy license plate frame OUT of my Jeep!! I had photos of my Jeep WITH both my license plate and license plate frame when I went down there to look it over and sign the day Caliber Collision received my Jeep... so I have literal photographic PROOF of their scandalous lies and thievery... NEVER EVER use them!!! Don't get screwed over like I did! They are LIARS and THIEFS!!! Not even worthy of a Star.. read more

My recent need for a body shop brought me to Caliber Collision on 23rd Ave south of Cactus. I had some body / paint work done here a few years ago, and they did a fantastic job. Paint matching was amazing. This visit, my service advisor was David Smith. I can not remember a time where I have had better, more personal service from anyone in the auto repair industry. David was patient, helpful, knowledgeable and treated me like one of the family. Service was prompt and exceptional. All my questions / concerns were taken care of and my needs were addressed and resolved quickly and efficiently. David is fantastic at his job. Good people make good businesses. read more

The rear bumper cover was crushed in on the corner. They determined that because of the newness and condition of my Avalon that a replacement part would be needed. They jumped right on it and got the part from Toyota really quickly. The original estimate was 7 days for painting and reinstall. They accomplished it in 3 days(including a weekend) . The paint match was actually a bit better than the original--it matched perfectly. The office staff and everyone at Caliber was professional, courteous, and just top notch. read more

At the end of the day, the critical repairs were made. I would not suggest this location if you have any other option but with consistent hounding, photo documentation and involving your insurance company with a grievance, you too could have a near complete job. read more

I dropped by to get an estimate on repairing a place on a front fender of my car. Daniel, the service advisor, gave me choices of approach and then offered to buff the spot to see if that would please me and save me a lot of money. I so appreciated his effort to keep me from spending hundreds of dollars. I found kind and genuine assistance without being taken advantage of. read more
