Here's what happened: My first time using their service was through a $49.99 Groupon deal for an oil change. However, when I arrived, I was told that the Groupon was just a coupon, and I was asked to pay an additional $40 to proceed with the service. I explained how Groupon works to the front desk, and they contacted the headquarters' technical support department, but got the same answer (that I had only received a coupon). The front desk staff was still very nice and eventually offered to match the Groupon price. But it struck me as odd--in the 21st century, with all this technology, their training clearly isn't up to par. The whole negotiation process took 45 minutes. After that, while I was waiting for the oil change, I submitted a refund request to Groupon, but they told me my coupon had already been redeemed. So I went back to the front desk to confirm, and they repeated the same explanation they'd given me earlier. I contacted Groupon again, and eventually, someone from a higher-level technical department must have contacted the front desk, resolved the issue, and allowed me to successfully use the Groupon. That wasn't even the strangest part--what happened next completely shattered my perception of a company's booking system. I booked another oil change on Sun Devil's official website. When I arrived, they told me they don't work at 12:00 PM sharp. I found that very odd and couldn't understand why the website would allow such a booking. But I didn't complain too much--after all, people need to eat. So I rescheduled for 10:30 AM the next day. When I arrived the next day, the front desk told me they didn't offer half-hour slots--all appointments were on the hour. I showed the front desk my confirmation email. The clerk showed me his screen, and I was shocked. He then told me my appointment had been rescheduled for 3:00 PM. I felt absolutely terrible. Sun Devil's booking system is a joke. I probably won't be coming back here, because I don't believe a business that repeatedly fails to honor appointments and breaks its promises can guarantee the safety of your car. Grant texted me during the process to make sure I was informed of progress. He was excellent! I depend on Yelp reviews when having to deal with choosing between unfamiliar businesses. They give me my quote and I drop my car off they anticipate it taking about 2 weeks to finish cool. I call them asking for updates after it had been almost a month and they tell me that the OEM headlights that they ordered came in broken and were on back order until December. So they recommend after market headlights as this was in September when they told me. I don't get headlights on my car that came in for a broken bumper for 3 months! Then I get my car back and everything seems fine until i notice there's a water leak in my headlights and then one of my bulbs goes out. I go to change my bulbs and messed with the conversion kit and got the wrong bulbs so i go back to carstar for them to tell me which ones i need to get. They tell me and I order them mind you they are of no help at all getting this fixed they told me they would reach out if it gets approved to fix by insurance and they never reached out I had to call them 2 weeks later after not having headlights for a months and zero help from these people. So i ordered the kit and put it in the car myself very simple unlike what Mike was saying about how complicated it is. Fast forward to about a week ago one of my headlights goes out again and at this point Im convinced it's because they didn't put the headlights assembly in correctly. As the bulbs haven't even been in a month and my headlights fog up anytime the car gets washed or is in rain. I decided to look at my invoice from them and do some research turns out these people never ordered the OEM bmw headlights and still charged it to the invoice along with lying to me for months about what is going on with my car saying that the headlights came in broken and were on back order since my car is 'rare' when they never even ordered it in the first place. These headlights cost $900 per headlight. I called the bmw shop they said they it from on the invoice and they hadn't sold the part since 2022! At the very bottom of the invoice they charged me $165 for aftermarket headlights and conversion kit in the miscellaneous repairs. These people are scammers and idiots that don't know how to work on cars take your business elsewhere unless you want them to use you to commit fraud along with holding your vehicle for 3 months! Horrible service from these people and also since my car sat in their shop for 3 months on a lie my starter went out and that was a nice extra $500 for something that wouldn't have happened at a body shop that's going to charge an arm and a leg for a simple repair you can do in your garage had they actually done their job.

Delays can happen, but poor communication and an openly unpleasant customer experience are management issues, not unavoidable circumstances.
