So as a Cali girl I was extremely excited to try out this place. The thought of having a Cali experience in Tampa brought so much joy to my heart. First let's talk food. The food is is good. Lots of interesting bowl combinations and fresh salads but.... many of the items reminds me of chipotle. Also the presentation of the food leaves a lot to be desired. I am a huge visual person so receiving a heaping mound of 15 ingredients tossed on a plate doesn't give me the best impression. With that said I do enjoy the: Ahi tuna, Brazilian chicken, and their coconut rice. Ambiance: This place gives me a beach vibe without the water feel. There's a bunch of wicker tables and chairs inside. And there is also outdoor seating on the side. Service: Now.. as a cali girl and former server I am very big on efficient service. If I'm going to a place where i order from the counter and get a number, I expect to get my food relatively quick (10-15 mins ) and Cali is def not quick. Expect to wait 20-30 mins for your meal. We love this place! Everything is always freshly made, properly cooked, and has good portions. When dining in or picking up, service is always great, and the place is clean. We have probably ordered here at least 15 or so times this year alone. Only once was there an error with the meal (it had dairy and I can't have dairy). Not only did they personally deliver the new meal, but they let us keep the other meal also... which made my kids very happy since they were able to have it for lunch the next day. One of our family favorites is the Gigante Bowl; it is delicious, gluten-free, and, with a few modifications, can be dairy-free. We have enjoyed every dish we have ordered, with the exception of one of the salads my husband ordered... it just had far too many udon noodles for his liking. The avocado hummus is amazing with their tasty chips or fresh, crisp veggies. If you happen to get something you don't like, I would encourage you to try again. You are sure to find a few favorites. This place is so good that my sister, who lives out of state, still talks about it being one of her favorite places. I don't mean to overhype it but this place is a family favorite. Bon appétit! Had lunch here with vegan and keto companions. I eat everything! :) We had a little trouble finding a place to park (very busy, Saturday lunchtime). Positives: Nice place, minimalistic, clean, bright, very nice. Servers friendly and accommodating. Excellent selection on the menu. We all found something delicious and fitting specific restrictions. The food was well prepared and very, very good. Portions were generous but not too much. Bathrooms were clean. Negatives: Food was lukewarm. It seemed it sat for 10 minutes before it was served. Ciccio Cali stands out as one of the Ciccio restaurant groups best locations. Food always made fresh when you order and you can tell the quality is there in the ingredients. The customer service is better than most and leaves you wanting to stay. My only wish for this restaurant is that there was one closer to Sarasota. read more

I explained to the cashier that I have celiac disease. She understood what that was, and stated she'd put it into the computer to let the kitchen know. All of the gluten free items were labeled on the menu. I ordered the Big Tuna bowl with brown rice. I'd also considered the Fajita bowl. My mom ordered that and it looked great. I was impressed by the quality of the ahi, and the wasabi aioli had an approachable spice level (though I'd happily have gone spicier.) I wish they'd had a hard cider on the menu. It'd be a nice alternative to wine for people who need to eat gluten free. The environment wasn't crowded and had a higher end fast casual feel. Most items were in the 8-11 dollar range. Bottled water was 2 dollars. If I lived in the area I would eat here again. read more

Went to Callie on Sunday for brunch ordered a Callie burger and a chicken wrap. It took seven minutes for us to let our water but another five or six minutes to get our drinks and I ordered our meals at the same time 22 minutes later our meals come out a total of33 minutes and that I think was to long for a wrap and a burger. The wait Tim should not be 30 minutes for the both. Our server Donavan did apologize for the wait. So I do plan on coming back with my vegan friends to eat. read more

This is a great spot! I truly love most of Ciccio Group establishment. I love the variety each of them give. I need for them to not get rid of their spaghetti squash. I am OBSESSED with it. The Big Italy is my go to bowl (it is so yum) and it must be paired with spaghetti squash, no cap. The spicy ahi tuna bowl is also delicious. The service is always great. I have been to this location multiple times and each one has been great. Usually I get the Hot & Crunchy Tuna and it has been great every time. The mix of Tuna with the Avocado and Cucumber, Tempura Onions and the Siracha Aioli make this option all worth it. The taste is great, with that nice little kick of spice. My bowl is usually empty within 5 minutes of getting my food, I will say a little bigger portion might be nice. On my most recent visit I also decided to get the Champagne Slamgria which tasted great. I will definitely be getting one of their Frose drinks next time. I've eaten at their Wesley Chapel restaurant and liked it a lot. Same here. We started with the chips, quauc and salsa. Very good. They have a nice beer selection too. Great start. I had a salad (Big Italian?) that could have been a bowl if I preferred. The dressing is served with the dressing put on in the kitchen. I asked for the dressing on the side and it was no problem. I enjoy the menu options here. Place is also very clean. For example you can order a half pizza for $5 if you don't want to feel like a fatty. I like the take out boxes that are available and also appreciate the cucumber water I only wish that the food wasn't cooked in so much oil and seasoning. The Cali steak wrap reminds me of grilled stuffed burritos Taco Bell used to have when I was in high school, but with waaaay better ingredients and execution. Love the lime caesar dipping sauce it comes with. Tried their burger for the first time and it was cooked perfectly. Fries are light, crispy and fresh. 2/23/19 When this place opened, it was one of my fav go to's. I still enjoy it even with the new menu change. There is a couple things that has changed my first rating of a 5. 1. With the new menu, the cookies do not have the same great taste. I would make a special stop there just for a chocolate chip cookie. Now, when I mistakenly get one, I'm disappointed each time. 2. When picking up a phone order, the servers seem to expect a tip. I'm not sure why I should tip when I get out of the car to pick it up. I'm already paying for the food and the taxes. So, now I do an online order which is never ready on time. 3. The spaghetti squash is often over cooked. Please do better Ciccio's! read more
