We thoroughly enjoyed our meal & the ambiance of the restaurant. The servers were friendly and the fellow diners made the restaurant feel lively. The location: absolutely perfect. It's near the Eiffel Tower and you can get a great view from the patio. Inside the restaurant you are only able to view the base of the tower. The service: fun, quick, and attentive. They took care of us and made us feel very welcome. The food: ah, the salmon meal was great. Nothing elaborate but delicious none the less. The duck was okay. Nothing too special. Probably one of the reasons I am giving this establishing a 4 instead of 5. The dessert (especially the cheesecake was delicious!) The drinks: they make one mean cappuccino! Was so tasty and a great way to end dinner. The space: the space is nice, lively and they play great music. The bathroom facility was a slight disappointment. read more

A truly outstanding experience. Dinner and dessert were delicious, the location in full view of the Eiffel, and service was warm, friendly and attentive. For a family dining in Paris, we couldn't do much better (try that with three teens)! Across the board, we were more than satisfied. Escargot and onion soup, beef tartar and roast chicken, pasta, and a salmon club sandwich were savory. Chocolate mousse, pear and chocolate pie, creme brûlée, and rice pudding were gobbled up. Make sure to speak with the genial owner and host -- a former Paris firefighter who has created one of the city's most delightful bistros. We'll be back. read more

By far the best service & meal we had in Paris. We sat outside and admired the spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower across the Seine while we ate. The atmosphere is casual & chic. Our servers Quentin & Emelie were attentive but not intrusive. They allowed us plenty of time to sit & relax and really enjoy the food & our time together. I've included photos of the Salmon, Chicken, Burgers (what else do teen boys eat), and my La Pariseinne salad. Well presented & delicious. I forgot to take photos of the desserts but I am telling you... This is not to be missed! We had Creme Brulee (a few split around the table) as well as the Chocolate Mousse. FANTASTIC! We've eaten French desserts in "high end" French restaurants in NYC and nothing has come close to these desserts! DO NOT MISS DESSERT HERE! read more

We were visiting and staying in an apartment above this cafe. What can I say, it was quite delightful. The food was good and what you could expect from a cafe. The real delight here is the staff, owner and regulars. It is reminiscent of the show Cheers. We had met new people made new friends and had the pleasure of this being right in front of our doorstep. You must be willing to talk to strangers, but you will meet the most interesting people. Try the charcuterie and duck confit; I had it multiple times and was pleased. Have some calvados as well, local stuff with a story if you are lucky enough to hear it. 5 Stars and you get a view of the Eiffel Tower as well! read more

I'll describe this place in categories: Location: Perfect if you are wanting a nice lunch or dinner with an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. Food: The food was good but the Creme Brûlée was phenomenal. Had a nice lunch and the place wasn't packed at all. The coffee was also nice. Price: This is where they won me over. I had a nice lunch with desert and a coffee and it was only around 30 euro.(really great price for the view that comes with it. Service: The service was great even though i was sitting outside. Waiters spoke perfect English and catered to every request. I would recommend this place highly for anyone traveling from America or just anyone around the world! read more

Great place. We stayed upstairs on the 8th floor and we ate here several times this week while on holiday. The french onion soup, cheese hamburgers, club sandwiches and grilled salmon was very good. The server who was also the owner is very personable and gave us a good experience. Let's not leave out the amazing view of the Eiffel Tower too. I will be the first to review this place. We went to see the Eiffel Tower and wanted a cappuccino. It was raining hard and found this place. Although it was raining we sat outside under the patio cover. The patio cover had little holes in it letting the rain spray on you. But that wasn't as bad as the place itself. We ordered 2 Cappuccinos that looked nice but tasted terrible. Plus I didn't know you get charged an additional 50 cents per cup to sit outside. We have had better cappuccinos in the States than here and of course for cheaper. I know we are in France and things come at a price but isn't France the place to come for a cappuccino? How do you mess up a cappuccino in Paris? It's like messing up pancakes in the United States! 5€ for a bad cappuccino gives this a 1* and the owners weren't very friendly. They got a 3 because I don't want to ruin their business but deserves a 1 read more

My best friend, husband and I traveled to Paris and it was the first time any of us had ever been. We were staying near the Eiffel Tower, so we headed out to explore and find somewhere nice we could have a glass of champagne and enjoy the view. We happened upon Cafe New York where a glass of champagne turned into a solid three hours of wonderful food, amazing views and excellent company. The owner, Sam, is the most welcoming and warm human being. He loves what he does and it shows down to the last detail. He speaks several languages and knows "all of the things". Charming, helpful and hilarious - he made our first restaurant experience in Paris the most memorable for all of the right reasons. With solid recommendations and the right balance of not letting old habits get the best of you - we had a wonderful meal where we all chose to forego a "safe" choice (ie. hamburger) and really go for it. But the recommendations were all based on our likes/dislikes and coupled with excellent wine pairings. The duck confit is beyond... I ventured out with that choice, but it was by far the hands down winner at the table. I say that, but the cheese & charcuterie, antipasti, escargot, french fries, veal, chicken, cheesecake, you name it - were ALL a close second. Yes, we overindulged - but I can say without hesitation, you will not regret one minute you spend here. It feels like home, even when you are thousands of miles away. read more

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant! The staff was a delight and our party of five had a wonderful meal and great memories! I couldn't decide between the blue cheeseburger or the flank steak, but one of the servers suggested I veer toward the cheeseburger and he was right! It was so good! One of our party had the steak tartare and enjoyed it, two had the flank and said it was very good, and one in our party had the bacon cheeseburger and enjoyed it as well. We were looking for a place to watch the Eiffel Tower shimmer and the café is perfectly situated and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I'm not sure what the other reviewers experienced but we had an excellent meal and ran outside to catch the shimmering. I highly recommend and I am appreciative of how comfortable they made us feel. I had dinner here after seeing the Eiffel Tower up close for the first time. The staff were so friendly and nice. I spent time sitting outside eating a simple meal and talked with the waiter and the owner until they were ready to close down for the night. Great food and great conversation. Well the kind people who wrote the other review didn't want to be too hard on them but I don't mind! We were looking for the restaurant "6 New York" but it was unclear from our phones exactly where it was. We thought this place was it. The waiter was incredibly rude and dismissive. We were seated at the same time as a party of six businessman and he served all of them and took their order before even glancing our direction. By the time he got to us he explained that all of the prix fix portions were gone. I asked for a regular menu. No, prix fix only. I exclaimed (in French) that The six gentleman next to us had been served immediately and there was enough for them. He shrugged. We left. Then we found 6 New York, our original destination. Go there! It is phenomenal! This place embodies everything stereotypically bad about French service. read more
