Looks pretty and food looks promising, but I was disappointed with my experience…read more I have dietary restrictions, so I won't be the best person to write a robust review as much of what they offer--while it looks sooo enticing--I won't be able to tolerate. (Though I really do want to try some stuff!) Here's what's driving my review... Pros: * great location * order kiosk (which I didn't use, because...) * though a line can build up quickly (place is small), it moves quickly Cons: * everything was a "no" ... does this come in dairy free? -no; can you add this flavor to drip coffee? -no etc. * person taking my order didn't know all the ingredients in their items, which might've been really bad for me. While I come off to be a real pain at times, THIS is the reason why. * coffee wasn't anything to write home about... so what even is the point? It comes down to aesthetics (which they have), cool location (check), and trendy food (much of which I can't have or have to create an occasion for). For me, more cons than pros don't merit their cost for a mediocre cup of coffee and frustrating experience when you're hungry and in need of refueling.

It was the next morning when we were heading downtown that I saw this shop while waiting at the light. It's great to have a local coffee joint right next to the parking garage where we have to park our car. I can grab my coffee, my car and be on our way. This shop is tiny, intimate and exotic. It's a small venue but with the garage type doors in the front open, it gives it an illusion of space. I love it! It's so hot out but I can only imagine how much fun it would be to grab a coffee in the fall, with the doors wide open enjoying your drink in the cooler weather. Talk about perfection. But the fact that you have enjoy gelato in this hot weather would be amazing too! The gentleman that was working today wasn't the kindest. He didn't greet us. Didn't smile. Didn't do much but take our order and make our coffee. He honestly looked annoyed when I was looking over the drink menu. Didn't know if they had something fun besides the drinks on the board by the gelato but I felt like I needed to order. So, I got myself an iced americano with sugar free vanilla and cream. My daughter got a strawberry lemonade. Our drinks were made and homie walked off. He went to the back. Honestly, his attitude really threw me off. It left such a bitter taste in my mouth after this transaction. Like, who does that? Just walk off while your customers are still standing in front of you? My drink was watered down. The vanilla was faint. It was watered down from the melted ice of the hot espresso. Then you add water to the watered down espresso which equals a horrible drink. It amazes me when baristas don't temper the espresso first to cool it down before pouring it over ice. It saves the integrity of the espresso without watering it down. Common sense. My daughter drank half of her lemonade and tossed it. I drank as much as I could and tossed mine. It would have been nice to come back for day 2 for convenience but the gentleman's lack of customer service will have me going to another local joint to support.

I'm picky with coffee, and you can refer to my photo to see that it has nice flavor...not anemic line the corporate chain coffee places! So worth it here with great prices!

This is common issue and not limited to this coffee shop. The honey cinnamon hot latte is a good flavor. The latte was smooth. The watermelon mint lemonade has a flavor and no bitterness. It does have a bathroom for paying customers.

I sit here at the bar on my laptop and I am the only patron here and I have developed a fondness of how careful and diligent the gentlemen who run this establishment are! There is not a chair, hair, or slice of bread out of place. The bucket that they clean the tables and sinks with is steaming as I watch, everything is prepared in sight! (Sometimes when a place is not so clean, I do not wish to see how things are prepared but for this place, the customer can feel confident in the food safety and the owner's diligence and attention to detail!). This place isn't fancy in the way that Starbucks or even maybe Dunkin is... They have their fancy cups and stoppers in the drinks... and you won't get that here but you also won't get corner cutting! You WILL get character, warmth, and friendliness in the service, high-quality food prepared FRESH! Thank you! I wish there was a bonus star that I could assign ... but alas, I do not have one. I was a little sad they didn't have cream cheese to dip it in. I got an iced coffee that time with hazelnut flavor. This sandwich can be shared between two people or one person if you're feeling really hungry. -traditional shakshuka (eggs poached in a tomato sauce with chili, bell peppers, and onions with spices, feta, and challah bread); the dish was good but I found it a bit lacking in flavor, the tomato sauce was very overwhelming and it was a bit bland. I'm glad we got to try it though as I've never had shakshuka before -pineapple passionfruit matcha bombe (matcha and white chocolate mousse with a pineapple-passion fruit compote, served in a matcha cake); this dessert was so good I ordered it both times I visited. It's so soft and flavorful while combining sweetness with just the right amount of tartness. Highly recommend ordering this to try it -passionfruit krembo (passionfruit curd served with vanilla meringue on top and passionfruit flavored chocolate); I was not as impressed with this one after the bombe just because it was an interesting texture with the meringue being a bit chewy and the biscuit layer on the bottom a bit tough to dig into, but I did love the passionfruit flavor For drinks, I ordered the iced Pistachio latte (good but a bit chunky with the chopped pistachios), and the Iced white peach and mint cooler (very refreshing). Loved Tatte and can't wait to go back and try other items on their menu.
