Well the people at the counter were absolutely lovely. The iced latte was excellent. We loved our Lamb hash which was excellent. It's a beautiful space with patio seating
Pretty busy but efficient spot to grab some coffee or pastries/food. I had a matcha latte and it was very solid. Would get again.
Tatte Bakery is such a staple in Boston that I have to stop by everytime I'm in the city. While it doesn't have the local charm of more mom and pop bakeries, you can always get a solid pastry or casual meal here. This recent trip, I was famished after landing and stopped by for a quick lunch. I really wanted to try the Jerusalem bagel so I got the egg in a hole which comes with the bagel and the pistachio croissant for a sweet treat. Loved the egg in a hole, the bagel is nice and crunchy on the outside with a soft pillowly center and the sesame seeds add so much flavor and a great nuttiness! The pistachio croissant is good as well but a little too sweet for my liking. The best part about Tattes is that there's usually ample seating to chat with friends or get some work done. They also do open later than other bakeries around making it a great place to hang out at.
Great bakery with a large indoor and outdoor seating. They have a pretty large selection of very nice desserts, and pastries. Service is basically self serve, but they are pretty friendly. Nothing exceptional. Also, great option for lunch, they have sandwiches and other small plates if you want something like that. Also they have an extensive menu of the tea and coffee. Overall very good experience.
Food: pistachio croissant, almond croissant, avocado toast, breakfast plate. They didn't have ketchup. I like pistachio but didn't really care for the croissant. I prefer almond croissants so I'd try that next time. My daughter didn't care for the potatoes on the breakfast plate. Service: friendly and fast. Ambiance: some indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside but all the trucks were pretty loud so I recommend sitting inside.
Came back to chat with some girl friends for an early lunch on Sunday. Plenty of seating. The Shakshuka was very filling and pretty good. The pistachio cherry tart is still a goodie but the recent versions that I have tasted have been a bit drier to me and is more a 8.5/10. Still a delicious snack but harder to justify the $7.50 price tag. I think it needs more cherry or a cherry jam spread in between to help have more tartiness and complexity. Friendly service. Clean space.
The Third Street Tatte in Cambridge is much smaller than the one in Cambridge Crossing, and voices bounce off the walls a lot more (something I've noticed in several Tattes now because there's no soft furnishings to absorb the sound). Not a great place to spend too much time in because of the noise level and cramped space. I also noticed the food smells stick to clothing so a venting issue that I haven't noticed in other cafes. Food and coffees are consistently good though.
Tatte is a Boston staple nowadays and have been popping up a lot in recent years. The interior of the store and atmosphere is really cool, music can be a bit loud sometimes. The drinks are a bit on the pricier side but the food is really good. Would recommend the pastries and the house latte. They have a semi seasonal menu so get them while they last.
Came on a Tuesday morning and it was decently busy. Had a matcha latte and the smoked salmon sandwich. The matcha was decent, but the powder wasn't fully mixed so it was a bit grainy. The sandwich was good - warm with a great balance of salty, creamy, and comforting elements. Price is normal for the area ($18 for the 2 items) but I wasn't blown away by anything. I'll come back for a quick snack or lunch though!
This Cafe had one of the creamiest pistachio lattes that I have ever tried. They used real pistachios in the latte along with the lightest foam on top. 2 shots of expresso was perfect for me as it gave me the little boost that I needed. The bakery had so much to choose from and everything was very clean and tidy. I got the Sundried tomato Feta scone. I wish I would have bought 2 because they were delicious. 100 times better than Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts

Everything in the winter farro bowl was too hard to chew--the farro, the huge broccoli stems, the stringy spinach...and at the end I was left with a bunch of too salty hummus. The lentil soup was bland and came lukewarm. The pita sandwich was very bland and mostly unchewable broccoli as well. All the flavored lattes-- chai, pistachio, and date are too sweet and ALWAYS come lukewarm. They'd be perfect if they stopped adding so much sugar and actually made them hotter, because they're otherwise flavorful. The Krembo had so little flavor that I wondered if it was display food or real food. Then tried the teramisu and it was also really bland. Service is great though. Just everything here was so bland and I would not pay for any of them again. Idk if the Harvard location is better or if I just ordered better items there because I mostly like the things I ordered at Harvard.
My colleague, who used to live in Boston, recommended Tatte as one of his all-time favorite bakeries. Having consumed many pastries from San Francisco to Paris, I was intrigued to see how Tatte would stack up. We visited the Tatte near Harvard, and I was immediately charmed by the decor with tiled floors, marble counter tops, and a jumble of unique light fixtures suspended from the ceiling. Even after lunchtime, the bakery was packed, and the pastry case was fully stocked with a variety of croissants, cookies, and other rustic-looking pastries. When I got to the front of the line, I ordered a pistachio croissant. The pistachio croissant was superb - it achieved a crispy exterior yet remained buttery and fluffy on the inside. The filling was just barely sweet with a distinctive pistachio flavor. I would definitely come back to try Tatte's other baked goods (the focaccia also looked delicious) or one of their prepared meals. read more
This Tattee Bakery is the same as several other locations in the city. It is located in Kendall Square right by MIT. It is not as big as other locations but that is okay. I was able to order the breakfast sandwich and coffee. I found a seat at the high top and ate my food. It was a decent spot, but I prefer the vibe of the Harvard Square and Downtown locations more. read more
I initially wanted a different breakfast sandwich part of the Friday/Saturday/Sunday breakfast served all day but they said they were out. Then got the Halloumi & Sunny-Side Breakfast sandwich and it was okay. Felt underwhelming compared to their other sandwiches, won't be getting again. read more

I've always been a big fan of Tatte. Everything I've tried there is top tier, so it's no surprise they have a great reputation. This location is no exception. Generally, I would warn that they get really busy on weekend morning, so be prepared for lines, but it's worth the wait! There isn't as much seating here as some of the other locations, such as Harvard, which has an entire upstairs area, but they do have a few additional tables outside. For food, I'm not a huge pastry fan in general, but their stuff is delicious. I'm a big fan of the shakshuka, which is the perfect hearty breakfast. I also love the Jerusalem bagel, which has a delicious sesame flavor and just the right amount of chew. Always a convenient spot, especially if im craving something sweet! read more
I had the roasted veggie sandwich (vegan) from a catered event and it was extremely delicious. The catering presentation was really nice and all the sandwiches and desserts looked incredible. Unfortunately they don't seem to have vegan desserts on the menu, which would be a nice addition. read more

The staple Boston cafe. My favorite is their French toast (only available on weekends). It's so custardy & fluffy! I also recommend the short rib grilled cheese and turkey avocado sandwich. Their flaky pastries are pretty dry (Flour has a leg up here fs), but I do like their tea cakes. Can be a little crowded but can usually find a table. Everyone knows Tatte but somehow it still feels underrated to me?? read more

This is a multi-location Tatte review. The food: high-quality pastries, sensible and unique Middle Eastern-inspired lunches, and uniquely flavored and delicious house latte is among the other cafe drinks The ambiance: modern, artsy and upscale The service: efficient and fast. What I liked: seasonal shakshuka, all sandwiches, addictive pastries such as nut box, cherry pistachio square, apricot cake, etc What I didn't like: The service is not particularly friendly. Some had an attitude. The way they notify you when your coffee drink is ready is not good at all. Due to its size of the store, busy foot traffic and noises, it is difficult for a customer to hear his/her/ their name being called. Sometime hot dishes were delivered lukewarm, pita bread was soggy. Tatte Bakery was started by one woman, and since then it has grown to a chain with multiple stores in the greater Boston area as well as Washington DC. (Panera became its major investor). It has maintained relative high quality in the food they serve. Since it has not expanded to the Bay Area, it is the go-to place for me whenever I am in Boston, for breakfast, lunch, and in between. read more
It's probably a good thing I didn't end up going to school in Boston, otherwise I'd spend more than half my paychecks on Tatte! They have such high quality pastries, breads, cakes, tarts and other sweet treats as well as a full menu with sandwiches and other hot items. Their almond croissants are excellent, but my favorite menu item by far is their panini with prosciutto, brie + fontina cheese, fig jam and bosc pear. Easily the best panini I've ever had, all the ingredients blended so well together - such a good combination. It gets pretty busy and can be difficult to find a place to sit if you're looking to sit down and enjoy your coffee/food, but even if you take it to-go, I really recommend stopping by if you're in the Boston area. read more
If you know of Tatte, you know it's good so I'll keep this short. First visit here and was absolutely blown away. Order the croissant breakfast sandwich!!! Definitely the best breakfast sandwich I've ever experienced. It was perfect. The line gets long but it moves pretty quickly. Ordered to-go just incase and was in and out in less than an hour, and we ate there. Food came out in about 15 mins so they have it down! read more
The exterior and interior of Tatte are both really gorgeous and their store and bathrooms are both clean and polished. I ordered the Tatte House Latte and a sesame bagel. The staff was polite and the wait was only around 5 minutes. However, one small flaw was that they had ordered the wrong size of lids, so when they gave me my cup, some of the liquid inside spilled since the lid was too large for the cup. After asking them, they exchanged it for one of the hot beverage cups, but it was kind of odd to me that they didn't offer immediately. However, this was all made up by the coffee. The coffee tasted cinnamon-y and was the perfect balance of coffee and creamy. It wasn't bitter at all, but also was so unique. It was really incredible, and had warm notes of honey and nuts. I definitely recommend getting their coffee, even though everyone is raving about their food. I also got their sesame bagel, which was also super tasty. Even though it wasn't warmed up, it was chewy and nutty, but also vaguely sweet as well. I highly recommend their bagels as well, and if I'm ever back in the area, will definitely try their food, too. I definitely suggest visiting for yourself and trying their extensive menu. There is a lot of seating, and an upstairs area, as well, and the staff is polite. Their food is top notch and very high quality, and has a unique flavor different from any other cafe I've been to. Boston is the birthplace of good old Dunkin Donuts that serves not just coffee and tea but pastries and sandwiches as well. Another Boston-born gourmet bakery with 14 locations across Cambridge and Boston, beats its older sibling in all departments. It's expansive and sunny interiors, well-chosen furnitures and stylish decors compliment the superb selections of French pastries, luxe ala carte kitchen menu items and gourmet coffee selections from @stumptowncoffee . For this morning's breakfast run, I picked up my favorite pan au chocolate, ham and cheese croissant and one breakfast item from the kitchen. It's a delicious and beautiful spread! No wonder the lines are often long . Please come to NYC! read more

Shakshuka never fails to disappoint and the one we got was super creamy/dairy heavy. The bread is on the harder side for my taste, but goes well when dipped in the shakshuka. The house latte is always a favorite as well. They did get our food mixed up with another order, so double check that you got what you ordered! There's limited seating, but came for brunch, which is generally a very popular time. read more

Tatte is a classic when you're in the Boston area. I absolutely love their coffees, pastries, and brunch meals. Their shakshouka comes with a nice, buttery fluffy bread that is perfect to dip with the sauce. I always have to go back for the almond croissant as it is 10/10. Their pistachio croissant and pistachio latte lacks a little bit of flavor, and tastes awkward sometimes with pistachio bits, but I would recommend their cappuccino and their black sesame latte. read more
Tatte is an absolute staple in the Boston/Cambridge area. This location is always packed with MIT students and people in tech, and has a great atmosphere for studying or for a coffee date. The tables get packed so make sure to come early or have a backup plan. Tatte's meals should not be looked over. I loved their egg in a hole and breakfast sandwich. I enjoyed their house latte since it was quite creamy and sesame-y. I love coming here any chance I get! read more

I would give this place a 3.5 if I could. I must say the ambiance is unmatched. Tatte is very European in nature and a great spot for brunch or a first date. To start off with the positives, they have a great variety of pastries. I was impressed by how many in-house baked goods they had to offer. I also was obsessed with the house latte. I love cardamom in coffee and the halva flavor adds such an amazing bit of sweetness. Definitely a latte I'm going to remember and am trying to recreate at home, lol. The interior is also very, very clean and spacious so it's a good place if you have a group of people. Now onto the negatives. I was personally thrown off that they never offered to even warm my croissant. It was kind of strange eating a cold croissant, but it wasn't all that bad. I loved the pistachio butter filling but wish they had included more of it. The shakshuka was incredibly mediocre. I've had much better shakshuka elsewhere. For the price ($14 I believe) it was not worth it, in my opinion. If you've never had shakshuka maybe you'd love it, but it was very plain in flavor for me. Lastly, the customer service was outright rude. It didn't feel attentive at all and when I asked them some questions (first time there) the cashier seemed fed up with me. I wouldn't go back just because of the service alone. I would recommend the house latte 100% but everything else I had was somewhat middle-tier. read more
At this point, Tatte should be a staple in everyone's life. The house latte never fails me; it seems so simple but the flavors are so complex and lasting. All of the sandwiches are cooked to perfection, always with the most wonderful runny egg. I have yet to every be disappointed by food/drink. Given how popular Tatte is, getting a table is always the worst part. Usually if you're keeping your eyes open while in line, something will open up and you can have a friend save it but it can be a struggle if you're on your own. read more

Came for a rainy day brunch to-go; my boyfriend and I enjoyed a couple of awesome breakfast sandwiches with yummy gooey egg yolks (watch out for that explosion after the first bite though, the yolk comes out fast!). I had a breakfast sandwich that came on a croissant (can't remember the name) which I would definitely recommend because that bad boy was flaky!! I also tried the classic breakfast sandwich which came on sourdough bread, also very tasty but a little thinner and more prone to messiness compared to the croiss. Don't get me wrong though, still a very well-balanced sandwich! Lastly, shoutout to the awesome staff! Very friendly and helpful even when people were a little new to the no-contact pickup process (this was in 11/2020). read more
