Tatte has my favorite yogurt cup in Boston and, in my opinion, the only one that is close to worth it for the price ($7.25). I love the thick labneh yogurt they use and their high quality toppings of fresh berries and honey. This location is a lot less crowded than other ones closer to the city and we were able to order at the counter with no wait. I'll keep coming back for their delicious Muesli cup! read more

Visiting in Boston and saw a few of these located in the area so decided to try it out. Line to order but went rather quickly. Ordered a small chai tea latte. Pretty decent size for a small. Strong chai taste which I loved. Selected the pistachio cherry tart and cinnamon walnut coffee cake slice. Tart was good, pistachios can be tough to chew, careful you don't chip a tooth. Coffee cake slice didn't taste like regular coffee cake. Tasted bland and could not taste cinnamon. Probably would have been better heated up. Great service, clean. Vibes at Tattes are always amazing and this one was absolutely beautiful, I love this chain for the European ambiance. In a quieter area if you want that. Service was fantastic here. The peach drink was good but nothing particularly softish like fresh fruit. My fig and procuro sandwich was good, a little dry but ok flavor profile, slightly unbalanced to salty. Stopped here after getting a salad next door. I can never walk by a Tatte without stopping in! I got a chocolate sandwich cookie, a cheese boureka and a strawberry turnover. All of their pastries are not overly sweet, thus giving them a unique sophisticated flavor. I always get the chocolate sandwich cookie because it's an easy treat for my drive home-think Oreo but without the overly sugary sweetness-you actually can convince yourself that these have to be better for you! ;) The Cheese Boureka was amazing! Needed a quick dinner so I stopped at Tatte on a weekday night. This one is on the bigger side for a cafe and not very crowded, so lots of places to sit. You order at the counter. I was told that what I wanted to order was unavailable, even though I was pretty sure I could see it behind the counter, so I went with my second choice and got the asparagus flatbread, which I believe is a seasonal item. I was a little surprised that they didn't heat up the flatbread, but maybe it's meant to be served cold. It tasted pretty good - the herbed ricotta spread and the bread itself were both delicious, but the asparagus could have been more tender. A few pieces were a little tough. I also got a cortado, which I didn't love, but I think I just have to accept that Tatte's coffee is not to my taste. Too bitter for me. Before I left, the woman at the register came and told me they did, in fact, have what I originally wanted, and offered to pack one up for me to take home, which I thought was very sweet. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but I wouldn't avoid this Tatte either. It was a pleasant place to sit and the food was good, if not exceptional. read more

Visiting Boston means definitely stopping by Tatte at least once, if not twice! Besides the Mediterranean influence, what I love about about Tatte is how consistent the food and beverages are across different locations in different cities/states! This Cambridge Crossing location seems to be relatively new and was still pretty quiet on a weekday morning. As usual I got the Tate House Latte which was super satisfying with its halva flavors and good blend of coffee and milk. The pistachio latte had a strong pistachio aroma with little nut pieces. For pastries the cheese boureka and the pistachio croissant were both how I remembered it! The former was packed with cheese and sesame flavors, while the latter offered a pistachio paste with a hint of almond flavor inside a flaky croissant. Only wish our server heated it up a little more. She put them in the toaster oven for less than a minute sadly. The store itself was spacious with lots of seating. The decor resembled other Tatte and something about their big windows with lots of natural lighting always gets me! Staff were nice but a little slow to catch our orders. Heard of this by way of a recommendation from a bunch of people who had spent more time in the area. Super convenient and dependable coffee shop that is a small chain. I really love their aesthetics. The white tiles and pastry display was a total win. It was incredibly chic and pleasing. The restaurant itself was pretty clean and there was seating indoors and outdoors. The staff is kind but rush you as the shop is quite busy. Everyone is moving at a fast pace. I went twice and their service seemed very good but not focused on individual. One time the food and drink really quick for me, but slow for my friend (and I ordered second) and another time. It was slow for both of us but fast all around us. The first time I got a salmon and egg sandwich and it was huge! A bit too much of the herb dressing, Their croissants/bread is the centerpiece for sure. A little bit hard for a croissant, but overall great flavor and texture. The second time I got a pistachio croissant and it was not my favorite. Basically a croissant that was sliced open with some pistachio cream inside. I wish I had selected something else. While they are good quality, you can certainly tell that they are built for mass production. Cappuccino was delightful and they offer a variety of options for milk. Didn't totally love the iced coffee, but that's OK. It still hit the spot. Nothing to write home about but a solid choice. The outside area can become quite windy so be cautious. What can I say, I'm a Tatte girl. I like its consistency and the white tiled aesthetic and the mix of healthy/slightly less healthy options. After stopping at Beatrice across the street and seeing the absolutely empty pastry case, I grabbed the last kouign amann and the oatmeal raisin cookie at Tatte. The KA was maybe a touch too sweet and bordering on staleness particularly in the center but the flaky layers were perfect and I ate the whole thing with no problem. The oatmeal raisin was a bit of a disaster - extremely dry and crumbly, no raisins to provide any sort of moisture. It was a cookie that had spent a week in the desert. It was less a cookie and more a circular clump of granola. (Sorry, Tatte, I love you, but this was not very good.) The girl who took my order was super sweet (not to draw comparisons but the people behind the counter at Beatrice just haven't been friendly. I guess I'd call them "NYC-friendly" which is to say ... not friendly at all). This Tatte location gets plenty of natural light and there was abundant seating, making it a good place to catch up on work or read. Overall, next time I'm in Cambridge Crossing and need a reliable bite to eat, I'd come here but skip the oatmeal cookie. read more

While Tatte is a chain, I especially love this location! Always clean and filled with plenty of natural sunlight, the Cambridge Crossing location is my go-to for getting some work done or simply enjoying a pastry, meal, or a drink. Tender spiced lamb, potatoes, poached eggs, and fresh veggies with a bright sauce pull the whole dish together in a perfect balance. My friends and I fought over this dish because it was so good! Everyone liked this dish more than the shakshuka. Mezze plate I loved trying all the different spreads with the Jerusalem bagel (dense and chewy with tons of sesame seeds) and the scrambled eggs were silky and buttery! Just like all the other locations, I had to run over while at work because its essentially the only thing open in the area... The food IS good considering, but the prices are crazy high for what you are getting, and the menu isn't THAT extensive... I hate that I have to give 3 stars but it truly took me over 10 mins to figure out what to eat and then I had to customize it to be able to eat it... I dont drink coffee or eat that many sweets, but I know those are a big hit here... Loved this place while on vacation. The staff was so friendly and chipper. The atmosphere made you want to be there and take pictures. It was hard not to order everything in the pastry display. I ended up getting a Dirty Chai latte with light ice and an egg sandwich. The Dirty Chai latte had the perfect level of fall flavors and they made it onto my preferred temp. The egg sandwich was amazing and much larger than I expected. You get to choose how you want your egg too. We loved it so much we went back the next day. Once you get passed the heavy set of glass doors, you're good. I love everything here! I love that it's located on Jacobs Street and I can take my son, Jacob, here and be like, the street is named after you (though that not be true). I love that there is a nice green space with a little pond with ducks for my kids to walk after having breakfast/brunch and that I can walk off the calories I just indulged myself with. The green space even has a huge musical tubular bar chimes structure where they can play music. I love this location. Parking is very limited and can be very tough but I have never not found parking, may need to take a few loops. With that said, since there is limited parking, the place is not near a train station or fully developed, therefore it is not extremely crowded. I can actually have a rather nice meal and conversation with my family. I have grown bored of your regular caffeine fix and maybe even matcha lattes. So each time I come here, it's always the house latte for me. So good and so unique. But it's not for everyone though. All of Shakshuka are unique and amazing. You really can't go wrong with any do try all. I recommend trying the one with ingredients you know you already like then branch out and explore. Many I would say prefers the traditional with the tomato sauce. The potato, mushroom and bacon Shakshuka is buttery and creamy deliciousness. I always have so much food left on the pan and not enough toasts and they give three so not really a complaint but more compliment. The lamb kabob plate has some very very sour pickled vegetables. I wish there were lamb meatballs. I love salmon and my kids love salmon and any salmon items i have tried my kids fought me for the salmon. I end up with the veggies always. I have tried the smoked salmon, avocado, egg sandwiches which was tasty. I have tried the smoked salmon and avocado tartines, love the creamy green sauce. Tatte also have many delicious desserts. All of the cheesecake topped with fruits are amazing. The base cream cheese is so smooth and creamy. It's like you are eating a cheesecake cloud or image yourself eating cheesecake on a cloud? It's very good. This is how I like my cheesecake though one in a while I do go for the denser variety. They also have this green pistachio bark dessert which I pictured below. I forgot the actual name. At first, I was hesitant when My husband ordered it as it looked dry and crunchy. It turned out to be so tasty that I couldn't stop nibbling it until I practically ate the whole damn thing. I have been back so many times and I highly recommend this hidden gem. Tatte's brunch food is quality and fairly priced. My favorite is their Savory French Toast so this Mushroom & Potato bowl seemed rather boring compared to that. Must admit that Tatte's sourdough is no joke tho - after one slice you'll find yourself craving the whole loaf. Their drinks are always meh, but I do appreciate they take the time to fully mix the matcha in their matcha lattes (other cafes tend to have powder clumps).
