Cafe Yumm is life. If you want a healthier and filling option come here! The hot n jazzy bowl is delicious & I love the jalapeño sesame salsa. I also love how quick it is to order, get your food, and get going. It's a great spot if you are in a rush. Not to detract business from Cafe Yumm, but.... If you want to make your own bowls at home all you have to buy is the Yumm sauce (which is a STAPLE in our house). Whenever I can't come up with something to make for dinner I make any variation of these bowls and am so satisfied. It's a shame I have to write this review being that I love the food here so much. The assistant manager at this location was extremely rude to me and my boyfriend. I came in to pick up my Togo order (mind you I saw it ready in the window with my name on the bag) I paid the cashier and she went to look for my food and told me it wasn't ready which obviously wasn't true (maybe she just didn't see it, I can't be too mad at her) she told them I was here for my order so I moved down to the end of the counter and watched my food sit there for 10+ minutes while other Togo orders and guests were served before I was. Every time I tried to speak to the person running expo (in this case the assistant manager) she would hold up a finger and tell me to wait without letting me get a word in. It wasn't busy or anything so at this point I'm getting frustrated. When she finally allowed me to speak to her I told her I've been watching my food sit there and that I'm running late and just need my order that's been ready since before I arrived. She harshly told me to "just give her a minute" and turned around to pack and hand out ANOTHER order before finally handing me my bag of lukewarm food. The wrap it I ordered had a split down the side making it so the insides would fall out when you'd try to eat it. Forgot my chips as well. Won't ever be coming back. read more

(The hair is next to the edamame on the fork) Don't say it was mine, my hair is long and straight, borderline flat...also there was a saddening amount of rice in mine and my partner's bowls (literally only enough to cover the bottom) which I'm disappointed by since my experience at every other Yumm Cafe has been to always be pleasantly surprised at the amount of food I get for the price (a medium can mean leftovers for a snack later!) and the additional ingredients looked like a joke they had tossed in (like a couple edamame??). read more

These guys really need extra help on a Sunday night. Super full bus tubs and trash, disgusting bathroom with overflowing trash and VERY smelly. This is not normal for this location, I come here often, it must be a busy night but there needs to be a backup plan if they run into this situation, that bathroom made me very hesitant tonight. It took fifteen minutes to get to the counter to order and another twenty to receive food, seems long for hot held type of food. read more

This is the first time I've been here. I'm here from St. Louis for work and this is connected to where we were. The service was super fast. People were polite and welcoming. I didn't feel rushed when I was trying to figure out what I wanted. I hope they open some near me because the food was absolutely amazing. I got a to go order consisting of a BBQ Chicken wrap and when I go to my car to open my food, the contents of my wrap were spilled all over the container and my tortilla was ripped, dry and stale. Good consistent food, small portions and very expensive for the portions of burritos. I got the larger burrito and asked it to be wrapped, surprisingly still small for $10. Cards on the table: I'm not a vegetarian, I'm not from Eugene, and I didn't try the "Yumm Sauce" (sorry, but that just sounds Adult Oriented). I had read the positive and negative reviews and thought I'd work around the issue laden items by getting cheesy potato soup and a BBQ tofu skewer. I'll start with the positives: the skewer was tasty, cheap and filling. Tofu like that can be tricky, and this was neither too gooey nor too chewy. They offer decent bottled sodas for only a few cents over the fountain cost. I wasn't impressed with the speed of the service, especially considering that the soup is a scoop and serve item. The thinnest, most brothy "cheesy potato" soup I've ever had. The potatoes were macerated, not chunks. And it was rather flavorlessly bland. Maybe I'm just too used to bacon in my potato soups. Unlike many reviewers, I didn't find the price to be entirely out of line for the items I ordered. Maybe it's a local paradigm that says that a basic meal shouldn't cost $10...personally, I expect it to run about that. read more

Not very happy. We tried to use a $50 gift card for 4 people after ordering our meals only to be told the gift card system was down at the gateway location and they would not accept it.Talked to the manager and she was no help and had no idea when the gift card could be redeemed. We turned around and left, So be warned, call first to see if they will accept your gift card. read more

Normally, this is a go to place for me. The staff is friendly and quick with orders. However, that was not the case tonight. I was placing a call-in order for pickup like I always do to minimize the time I'm in restaurants nowadays. Let's just say I would have been better off going in and waiting. The person taking my order (Jeffrey) mumbled the entirety of the ordering process; it's not a big deal I've adapted to people talking with masks and have even gotten an education behind one... I get it. But that's not even the hitch in this giddy-up. I order the first of two yumm bowls that I plan on ordering and he then asks me for my name, no biggy they ask that after one thing all the time. They then try to hurry me off the phone by telling me my total, not trying to be rude I quickly say that there is one more thing that I'd like to order. I then proceeded to receive a snarky, "what else?" Ignoring the attitude I ordered the second bowl (well, technically a side of brown rice with a few toppings added). We then sit in silence for three minutes while it gets put into the computer, afterwards he repeats that back to me and I say that it is correct. My order then gets repeated to me but is incorrect, I try to politely correct the employee only to get yelled at over the phone because, "that's not the thing they were talking about." People have bad days, as do I. It's not fun working the closing shift either, I know it's lame. But that doesn't mean customers need to be yelled at because they misunderstood something. I'm not a confrontational person so I didn't say anything when Jeffrey glared at me (I saw the name tag) the entire time I was paying. Well, this place has gone downhill! I just had a so called "large" bowl and it was so damn small! They didn't even fill the bowl up, it was only 3/4 full. They put such a small dap of yum sauce on there it's pathetic. Come on people, your serving beans and rice, the cheapest ingredients there are and you can't even fill up the bowl! read more

I have met here for Autism Society meetings for the last couple of years. My food is paid for by the organization, which is a plus! The food is new wave Asian geared for vegetarians and others with dietary limitations. That does not bother me in the least because I love healthy food. I can partly thank my mother and grandmother for that! I have had a yum bowl without the sauce in the past. (I don't like the sauce. It's too bland for me and almost tests my gag reflex. Ugh!). Last time I had a skewer with the rice/slaw and it was quite good. With that said the food is very good at this location. It is just so crowded it's difficult to hear my self think. I've never been to one of these places before, but was graciously treated to lunch here by a wonderful local who knows good places to eat. I would LOVE to have one of these in my home town. Fresh, healthy, flavorful, reasonably priced food... what's not to love? In an attempt to control my calorie intake, I decided to try their "medium" sized bowl. This is a great place for people who eat Whole Foods plant based. I just discovered their teriyaki tempeh skewer. Omg so good! I like the brown rice bowl, no dairy. The food is great when you get what you ordered. Unfortunately, 3 of the last 4 orders have been wrong. I would recommend that you double check your togo order before you leave because "no olives" or add "double chicken" seem to throw a kink in their style. I know, I could easily just not go here but like I said, the food is great when they get it right. I've learned to double check my order. We picked up an order today that was missing the add chicken and when my co-worker called the store, the manager/supervisor recommended that she come back in about 30 minutes when they weren't so busy and they would make it right. Usually this is a great location, tonight not so much. I encountered the rudest person there. I placed an order for pick up over the phone at 645 and was not told they closed at 7 for Halloween. That's understandable and not the issue. I arrived at 7:06 to pick up my order and was yelled at that they were closed, when I tried to explain that I just had a pick up order and that I could see it sitting in the window, I was interrupted and yelled at again from across the room by the person I can only assume was the shift manager that they were closed and I could not even pick up my already prepared order. Never go to the gateway street location; service is terrible and extremely unprofessional. A couple months ago, I went there to grab some lunch, and I ordered an original yumm bowl and asked them to sub in cabbage instead of rice because I'm on a low carbohydrate diet for health reasons; I had ordered this same exact thing many times before at other locations and never had a problem. Well, I asked them, like usual, to please sub cabbage instead of rice and the guy taking my order tells me no! I kind of give him an awkward smile at first because I thought he was joking, but he wasn't! So, I asked to please speak to the manager. Manager comes up and asks what he can do to help, so I ask "yeah I'm just wondering why I can't have cabbage instead of rice in my yumm bowl?" And he began telling me it's a "new policy" or some shit. "Sorry but it's just a new policy we have". I am still in shock because I know they have cabbage in their kitchen.... It's not like I'm trying to order sushi or something. So I just told him "ok well apparently I'm not ordering anything from you guys" and he didn't even blink an eye! So then I call other locations to do some investigating (I was and still am shocked about how absolutely no logic was being used that day) . I call other locations and ask them if there's a new policy about "no cabbage" lol, and all of the other locations stated no, there's no policy about that and they are sorry that I had his experience. All in all, the dudes working there that day didn't like me for idk what reason? But I'm extremely confused and needless to say, I will never go to that cafe yumm location ever again!!!!!! read more

I am a huge Yumm fan, and pick up lunch there once a week for my colleague and I and take it to the office. I started going to this location because its closer, but won't be going back. They've screwed up 2 of 3 orders, and the beans are consistently undercooked. When I called to politely let them know, they didn't offer to re-do it, comp the next order, or anything. Also, my request for extra Yumm sauce got translated into "no Yumm sauce". Yumm? I say yuck. Will take the extra few min to drive to Oakway from now on, or until they get more competent staff. read more
