After a delicious first encounter with a Cuban ham croquette at Crazy About You in Brickell, I was eager to experience it again before boarding my American Airlines flight at Terminal D. Unfortunately, this was a letdown. The croquette itself felt like a miss--it had some ham but was mostly filler, and I found very little of that rich cheese flavor I was looking for. Compared to the elevated version I had earlier in the trip, this felt a bit more like standard airport fare. On the positive side, the Café con Leche with almond milk and vanilla was quite good and hit the spot. The staff was also fast and efficient, which is exactly what you need when you're trying to make a flight. Great for a quick caffeine fix, but I'd skip the croquettes next time.
I had a turkey and provolone sandwich during a layover. The bread on one end was a little soggy after sitting packaged up but the rest of the sandwich was good. It was a good portion size that was a very reasonable price for an airport.
A Miami institution and staple for decades, I understood the hype when I picked up some empanadas, potato balls, and a cubano sandwich when I was flying out of Miami (have done this a few times). I lined up before they opened at 6 and they steered 15 minutes early and by the time I ordered the line was 25 people deep. I waited about 15 minutes for my Cubano but my other meat pastries were ready to go pretty quickly. Really love the flavors and tradition of the culture that comes out of the food they make here. This is a no frills casual fast spot to get food, food - you're definitely in and out of this one due to the high foot traffic but it's worth taking to go for the plane ride (or if you're just getting into Miami!)
Cubans highly rate Versailles, so it's a must try. Although I prefer the original location on sw8th st (has way more options), this one is also a good spot that I recommend. If you're in a rush inreccomend trying the Cuban coffees and pastelitos. These are Cuban delicacy's that never disappoint. If you have time to grab a meal, enjoy it & order a few different things. I've never had anything that I didn't love here. I always bring visitors to the sw8th st location because it's a good vibe and the food is amazing.
Had the hot cafe con Leche which was very hot and tasted good. The guava and cheese pastry was just average on this day.
Have been waiting to try this place for a while. Went to the MIA airport location. Just going to say the coffee and meant empanadas were great but the service was just ok.
Other than the overpriced airport food, this place wasn't bad. Got a couple of beef empanadas and potato balls with plantain chips. The customer service was good, though I might be biased since I'm from L.A. and used to the original Porto's. That said, if I were in Miami, Café Versailles would definitely be a great spot to check out
Love coming through the Miami airport because that means I can indulge in some of my favorite coffee and pastries. This Versailles cafe is located in the D terminal right across from gate D20. Even at 9 pm the cafe was still stocked with goods and coffee. The team was so friendly and laughed as my sister and I raved about how much we loved their items. We ordered a cafe con leche which was made to perfection and didn't need anything extra added. And some guava pastries that I think could've used a little more filling but all in all I'm so happy that I got to indulge in one of my favorite treats.
This has become my go-to every time I fly out of Miami. Everything I've ever tried has been delicious and flavorful and a way to enjoy some great, authentic Cuban food before a flight. Makes for a perfect breakfast! Also got the iced cafe con leche which was delicious. Definitely give this place a try!
Viva la vida. Try everything! Glad to finally try a famous Cuban Sandwich and take it off the bucket list while at the Miami airport! Cafe Versailles is well-known in Little Havana for this along with their coffee and baked goods such as empanadas. This is a small airport booth location situated between Gates H and J beside Door 14 before security check-ins. Fortunately the line wasn't too long when I swung by in the late weekday afternoon. Menu prices were relatively affordable. As for flavors, the Cuban sandwich was stacked with roast pork, ham, cheese between slightly buttered & toasted buns. Empanadas were fried to a crisp & loaded with protein & veggies. However everything tasted on the saltier side.
I am surprised about the average ratings because we have a different opinion. We were waiting for our late morning flight at MIA on 03/23/23 to Aruba and were hungry. I was dreading airport food. But then we saw Cafe Versailles, and we became hopeful. My daughter and I each ordered the Cuban sandwich with Cuban coffee. Perfection! Fresh and delicious. We also got guava pastelitos for the 3 hour flight. Service was excellent, and performed with a smile. The place is clean and shiny. We felt confident that we were at the right place. Now we have a favorite restaurant at the Miami Airport!
WOAH. So I randomly noticed a bunch of airport staff grabbing coffee from this spot, and my mind was like, ooooo it must be good. And I am so glad I went! I had such a beautiful, rich, delicious mocha. It's probably the richest mocha I've ever had. I also had their ham and cheese sub and the guava cheese pastry. The guava cheese pastry was sooooo good and so different that I ended up getting five more for my family. If I'm ever at this airport again, you bet I'll be making my way back to this terminal hehe. read more
OMG, I'm still dreaming about the delicious Cuban Espresso drinks from this shop! We tried 3 different locations at the MIA airport bc I'm now addicted to their tiny and high quality drinks for just $1.50 each. Service was excellent each time. Ambiance was different at each location. The shops in concourse D and E looked classy, while the shop at baggage claim looked old and even sold cigarettes. I stopped in here before my flight back home because I heard the empanadas were amazing. And they absolutely were. They weren't too expensive either; reasonable enough to bring some home for my family. I got the guava, papa rellena, and chicken empanadas. They were all wonderful. The line moved really quickly since the empanadas are ready. You tell them how many you want and they put them in a bag for you. They were about $3 each. For being in a busy airport, the space was perfect. read more
If you are expecting to get the same quality of food that you would get at the actual Versailles Restaurant on Calle Ocho, then yes, you will probably be extremely disappointed. This is a cafe and meant to be a quick grab-n-go option for travelers. The ladies working behind the counter were all nice and handled the long lines like champions. All the sandwiches are pre made. So when you order something they'll heat it up real quick, and BOOM! Your order is ready. Guess who else does that? Starbucks. Anyways. I ordered a Media Noche sandwich and a cafe con leche. I asked for no pickles on my sandwich. Since they're already pre made, they have to take the pickles off. Which sucks because it still leaves behind the pickle flavor. The sandwich itself was still good m. Overall a decent place to get some Cuban food before boarding your plane. read more
The worst Cuban sandwich I've ever had, and I'm Cuban. Forget about the usual flavors of mustard and pickle that make this sandwich a usual winner. Zip! There was none. Cheese wasn't melted even though it went thru the sandwich press. It wasn't warm, bread not crunchy. Ugh! Why is airport food always a crap shoot. Best to stick to their regular restaurants outside the airport. read more
This review is for the AA concourse D, satellite location for a early 5am flight. This is not the World Famous Calle Ocho location just 3 miles away, but I guess they prepare the food, like Cuban sandwiches, empanadas, croquettes at the main location & have them brought over. Having eaten at both locations, I would say that the Cuban Sandwich tasted pretty close to the original but, lacked pickles & I had to add mustard packages. The sandwich size, Cuban bread & meats where correctly made. Melting of the cheese could have been stronger, but they risk burning the bread, if they don't use enough butter during the toasting process. Service was good & friendly. Price was good for airport pricing $11.50 for the sandwich, but $3.50 for 20oz Diet Coke. I was excited to see The Versailles at the airport. Disappointed that it wasn't close to the quality expected. Sandwich was cold, cheese wasn't melted, just not worth the experience. I waited for the sandwich to be toasted, even added a tip for a pick up at the counter experience which makes a poor experience with cold food feel worse. There wasn't even potato sticks or anything crunchy in the sandwich. Felt like vending machine quality and there should be a microwave nearby for the self serve aspect. read more
I had a layover in Miami after a really early flight. Stopped by Cafe Versailles and had some pastelitos. Ordered guava and cheese, cheese and beef. They were so delicious we had to buy more. They are so soft and flaky. My husband had a Cuban sandwich he said it was delicious too. Stop by and order from here, you won't regret it. read more

Cafe Versailles is a place that was more show than quality. So I had some time to kill before my connector flight, and I was a bit hungry. I decided to stop by this place, as it seemed pretty popular, and the menu items sounded tempting. After a short wait in line, I ordered a sandwich and an iced coffee. I paid, got my receipt, and patiently waiter for my order to be processed. The same lady who took my order brought me a hot coffee, to which I reminded her that I ordered an iced coffee, not a hot one. She got a bad attitude, and asked if I was sure I didn't want the hot coffee. I told here that I wanted my coffee iced, just how I ordered it. She had someone else prep my drink, and she went back to the register. Once they gave me my sandwich, I made my way back to my gate, where my flight was soon boarding. I sat down to take a few bites, and I was unpleasantly surprised at what I say. The sandwich was low quality and poorly made. The people in this establishment clearly put no effort in their food prep. I was very disappointed, and swore never to buy from this place ever again. With the staff's bad attitude, and their less-than-stellar food quality, they either need to drastically improve, or close shop and make way for a better establishment in Miami Int'l Airport. No matter if it's the Airport Versailles or the local Versailles in West Kendall, you can always expect the same yummy Cuban treats but just a bit more expensive due to the convenience of being at the airport. You know what to expect, if you like Cubano, you won't be disappointed read more

3-23-22 6AM #1 reason to fly out of Miami is it's numerous food and shopping choices. So early flight and right by my gate is Cafe Versailles. Oh just what I need a good Cuban jolt of caffeine. So I get on line and order in espanol what I want. One cortadito and a beef pastelito please. She asks do I want sugar I say no. Wait a couple of seconds as it is freshly made. The reason for the five stars is simple fresh, delicious, wonderful customer experience by the friendly staff and very reasonably priced. The cortadito alone under two bucks you can't beat that anywhere. Definitely look forward to my next early flight out of MIA and know it will be great as they have Cafe Versailles! read more

I love to travel, but I get homesick pretty quick. So, thankfully for Versailles in the airport I can have a quick taste of home to hold me over while I'm away. This is essentially a ventanita in an airport. It's quick, cheap, and of course- solid Cuban fare. I stop here every time I have a morning flight in this terminal and get the same thing. Tostada, café con leche and croquetas. Today on my visit I was happily surprised that they have almond milk! Nice to see alternative milks at old school cuban spots. Cheers to Versailles for being delish travel fuel. read more
