I had such a beautiful, rich, delicious mocha. It's probably the richest mocha I've ever had. I also had their ham and cheese sub and the guava cheese pastry. The guava cheese pastry was sooooo good and so different that I ended up getting five more for my family. We tried 3 different locations at the MIA airport bc I'm now addicted to their tiny and high quality drinks for just $1.50 each. Service was excellent each time. Was happy to see Cafe Versailles in the Miami airport as we didn't find time to go to Cafe Versailles in Calle Ocho like usual. Two famous Cuban sandwiches were made to order and hot & tasty. After a delicious first encounter with a Cuban ham croquette at Crazy About You in Brickell, I was eager to experience it again before boarding my American Airlines flight at Terminal D. Unfortunately, this was a letdown. The croquette itself felt like a miss--it had some ham but was mostly filler, and I found very little of that rich cheese flavor I was looking for. Compared to the elevated version I had earlier in the trip, this felt a bit more like standard airport fare. On the positive side, the Café con Leche with almond milk and vanilla was quite good and hit the spot. A Miami institution and staple for decades, I understood the hype when I picked up some empanadas, potato balls, and a cubano sandwich when I was flying out of Miami (have done this a few times). I lined up before they opened at 6 and they steered 15 minutes early and by the time I ordered the line was 25 people deep. I waited about 15 minutes for my Cubano but my other meat pastries were ready to go pretty quickly. Really love the flavors and tradition of the culture that comes out of the food they make here. This is a no frills casual fast spot to get food, food - you're definitely in and out of this one due to the high foot traffic but it's worth taking to go for the plane ride (or if you're just getting into Miami!) read more

Cubans highly rate Versailles, so it's a must try. Although I prefer the original location on sw8th st (has way more options), this one is also a good spot that I recommend. If you're in a rush inreccomend trying the Cuban coffees and pastelitos. These are Cuban delicacy's that never disappoint. If you have time to grab a meal, enjoy it & order a few different things. Love coming through the Miami airport because that means I can indulge in some of my favorite coffee and pastries. This Versailles cafe is located in the D terminal right across from gate D20. Even at 9 pm the cafe was still stocked with goods and coffee. The team was so friendly and laughed as my sister and I raved about how much we loved their items. We ordered a cafe con leche which was made to perfection and didn't need anything extra added. And some guava pastries that I think could've used a little more filling but all in all I'm so happy that I got to indulge in one of my favorite treats. read more

They weren't too expensive either; reasonable enough to bring some home for my family. I got the guava, papa rellena, and chicken empanadas. They were all wonderful. This is a cafe and meant to be a quick grab-n-go option for travelers. The ladies working behind the counter were all nice and handled the long lines like champions. All the sandwiches are pre made. This review is for the AA concourse D, satellite location for a early 5am flight. This is not the World Famous Calle Ocho location just 3 miles away, but I guess they prepare the food, like Cuban sandwiches, empanadas, croquettes at the main location & have them brought over. Having eaten at both locations, I would say that the Cuban Sandwich tasted pretty close to the original but, lacked pickles & I had to add mustard packages. The sandwich size, Cuban bread & meats where correctly made. Melting of the cheese could have been stronger, but they risk burning the bread, if they don't use enough butter during the toasting process. Service was good & friendly. Price was good for airport pricing $11.50 for the sandwich, but $3.50 for 20oz Diet Coke. I flew a redeye through Miami, and when I had the opportunity to get Cuban food at 8 in the morning, I took it. I got one of each empanada, and we also got a traditional Cuban sandwich. All told, not bad, but probably not as good as we were hoping. It's a big chain and there are three locations just within the Miami airport, and this one is solely for the one located by gate D44. Cafe Versailles is a place that was more show than quality. So I had some time to kill before my connector flight, and I was a bit hungry. I decided to stop by this place, as it seemed pretty popular, and the menu items sounded tempting. After a short wait in line, I ordered a sandwich and an iced coffee. I paid, got my receipt, and patiently waiter for my order to be processed. The same lady who took my order brought me a hot coffee, to which I reminded her that I ordered an iced coffee, not a hot one. She got a bad attitude, and asked if I was sure I didn't want the hot coffee. I told here that I wanted my coffee iced, just how I ordered it. She had someone else prep my drink, and she went back to the register. Once they gave me my sandwich, I made my way back to my gate, where my flight was soon boarding. I sat down to take a few bites, and I was unpleasantly surprised at what I say. The sandwich was low quality and poorly made. The people in this establishment clearly put no effort in their food prep. I was very disappointed, and swore never to buy from this place ever again. With the staff's bad attitude, and their less-than-stellar food quality, they either need to drastically improve, or close shop and make way for a better establishment in Miami Int'l Airport. These locations used to be some of the best places to go inside the airport. They have lost focus on service. I frequent these establishments many times recently and consistently the service is very rude. The final straw for me was I ordered a cortadito, same as I did 2 days ago, I ordered it large. Nobody said anything to me. The woman charged me my fee and then they handed me a tiny cup of coffee and told me that is what I ordered no offer of correction no offer of anything. Just a scowl on the face and a dirty look and told me that's what I get. So I told them I will never go to their establishment again and I encourage everybody else to do the same to help correct a wayward ship. There are plenty of other Cuban coffee shops in the airport. I only tried one item on the menu, the grilled chicken sandwich. The sandwich uses chicken breast meat, which is very easy to overcook, resulting in a tough or dried out piece of meat. A thin breast can go from just-cooked to overdone in a minute. On Saturday, June 7, 2025, while waiting for my flight at Terminal D2 of Miami International Airport, I stopped by Café Versailles to purchase a coffee and a Cuban sandwich. I intended to enjoy the sandwich during my flight, so I placed it in my bag. However, when I opened it about an hour later, it was clearly spoiled--the strong smell of vinegar was overwhelming, and even the passenger next to me noticed it. Unfortunately, I had to throw the entire sandwich away. While waiting for my order, I also observed some concerning food handling practices. Each cashier had a white box next to the register where completed orders were placed. At one point, while one cashier was taking a new order, another customer's hot croissant was placed in the box. The container partially opened, and I was shocked to see the cashier--wearing gloves but also holding dollar bills--touch the food directly with her gloved fingers. It was disturbing to watch, especially knowing how unsanitary money is. I wanted to warn the customer, but she was in a hurry and had already taken the order. Sadly, this experience left me with the impression that the staff prioritize speed and collecting money over hygiene and customer service. The sandwich cost me $20, which felt like a waste given the poor quality and questionable food safety. I hope management takes these concerns seriously--hygiene, food safety, and customer care should be non-negotiable, especially in a busy airport location. 3-23-22 6AM #1 reason to fly out of Miami is it's numerous food and shopping choices. So early flight and right by my gate is Cafe Versailles. Oh just what I need a good Cuban jolt of caffeine. So I get on line and order in espanol what I want. One cortadito and a beef pastelito please. She asks do I want sugar I say no. Wait a couple of seconds as it is freshly made. The reason for the five stars is simple fresh, delicious, wonderful customer experience by the friendly staff and very reasonably priced.
