Stopped by before my flight and it was a great choice. This is a perfect spot to grab a Cuban breakfast pastry or sandwich. I tried the steak sandwich and highly recommend it, very flavorful. Service was decent, and the coffee is made to order, which makes it well worth it. The counters were clean, and I appreciated that they had cinnamon available to add to your coffee. A solid stop if you're looking for good food and coffee before heading to the airport.

    GUAVA PASTRY $2.45

While waiting for my flight in Concourse E, I was in need something sweet to counteract my beer buzz. This place had excellent prices on guava pasty so I ordered one for $2.45. The cashier was super busy but gave me the paper bag which felt oddly light. I opened the bag and noticed a tiny piece of guava pastry - an easy four small bites. Although tiny, it was sweet with a crumbling flaky crust. The menu included full latin specialties including cuban sandwiches and empanadas for only $3 75. Good place for a quick bite but nothing special.

If you have ever been to Miami, then you know how big of a deal Versailles Restaurant is. One thing I love about flying into Miami International is that they have a number of these Café Versailles stands in the airport. Versailles Restaurant is a famous Cuban Restaurant in Miami's Little Havana that is known for their Cuban cuisine and pastries. They opened in 1971 and have been featured on several TV shows and movies. Here at the airport stands, they have espresso drinks, croquetas, pastelitos, and hot-pressed sandwiches. I took a red eye into Miami International and was so happy that I had time to grab a Cuban coffee and some pastries when I arrived.

    Empanadas!

My flight to Tampa had an emergency stop in MIA due to weather. We had to deplane until further notice. After my adrenaline rush, I wanted food. I know the MIA airport well. I was in terminal D at the Versailles over there. The airport has at least 3 that I've tried. For a quick service outpost of their main restaurant, it's a delicious food option. The airport restaurant is a quick service pay and go vibe. It has true authentic Miami flavor.

After getting in super late and finding the Gloria Estefan place OUT of coffee, we settled on Cafe V and had the best cortado of my life- the place was packed for a reason. Got a Cuban to take back to hotel and it was amazing as well. Ate the whole thing despite trying to save some for the next day!

Always good Cuban coffee and food. Empanadas are delish! Expect a line but worth the wait at this take out only location.

You can't really mess up anything Versailles related, specially the little window that serves pastries and coffee. On this visit, I made a quick stop to get fueled up before jumping on my flight. The lines are normally long and it takes about 20 minutes to order and get your food, at which point you either walk fast to your gate, or sit down and gobble down your food. Everything is good and it really depends on how much you are craving their stuff, as well as your time management skills and stress resistance. They also have a cafeteria with tables. Prices are not bad, I may stop next time.

I've eaten at the REAL Cafe Versaille, the one in Little Havana near downtown Miami, and loved it. Sadly, this airport outpost of that restarnat is NOT nearly the same quality. I had a Cuban sandwich, a few pastries, and a Cafe Cubano. The only really good item was the cafe...it was exactly what I would expect from a Havana-style espresso, rich and sweet. The sandwich and pastries, however, were terrible. The sandwich was super dry and lacked much flavor...it was closer to cardboard than to a real Cuban sandwich. The pastries were equally dry and flavorless...they were so dry they were hard to swallow. It's really sad to see that this airport outpost of the extremely famous Cuban restaurant does not even come close to doing the brand justice. Do yourself a favor and visit the real location downtown instead.

It's near the E30 gates after the tram. Very good food! Also empanadas for the plane.

The flavors were really hittin--not salty but definitely not lacking in flavor and complexity. So delicious The only criticism I would have from what I ordered is that the rice was ever so slightly undercooked which made it a bit dry. Other than that, everything was great. There's not really a server--you order and they text you when it's ready. Then you come pick it up and go to your table. But the cashier lady was very nice and helped me decide what to get.

If you're looking for something unique to try at the Citadel, Manjay is worth a shot. They serve Haitian cuisine. Portions were generous and in general, the food was kind of heavy. Many of the components I believe were made to order, so there was a short wait. Here's what my wife and I ordered: Appetizer: * Caribbean Conch Fritters ($14) - Manjay pikliz, honey mustard remoulade These were big and tasty. Six pieces, like giant hush puppies with conch inside. The plate came with pikliz in the center. Pikliz is like the Haitian version of coleslaw, made with cabbage, carrots, onions, and peppers. Manjay's version was spicy and yummy. Bowls, each with 2 sides and 1 sauce: * Honey Jerk Chicken Bowl ($18) - breaded and tossed in Manjay's homemade honey jerk sauce; with red beans rice and sweet plantains and scotch bonnet mango aioli * From Haiti with Love (Griyo) ($18) - Deep-fried Kreyol-style slow-braised pork; with banan payzay and toofay Both the chicken and pork were very good and flavorful. The pork was served bone-in. The rice and beans and sweet plantains were comforting and addictive. The scotch bonnet mango aioli was spicy. Banan payzay are Haitian pressed plantains. These were savory and starchy. The toofay ("legume") was good too. It's a hearty vegetable stew, essentially Haitian ratatouille. Our cashier was Roniqua and she was nice. During our visit, I think Manjay had the longest line (a good sign). After walking around, looking at the other food court options and seeing Manjay's high rating on Yelp, we were sold on Manjay. We dined in so we got real plates and silverware. We actually took everything up to the rooftop bar and ate up there. Our trays were bussed by the staff on the roof. Along with this location at the Citadel food court in Little River (just north of Little Haiti), Manjay has a casual strip location near the Miami airport in Doral. This Citadel location is the original; it opened in February 2019. The Doral location opened in 2024.
