I've been here a few times now and the food is always delicious. I literally get excited to eat here. The taste, texture, presentation is always fantastic. I'm a big fan of spice blends/marinades/etc. on meats and an enthusiast of wonderfully tasty plant based dishes and this place always checks both boxes. Service has always been fast and friendly (they get busy so keep that in mind). One time I was quite tired and forgot to mention to exclude dairy from a dish I ordered that had very clearly listed some dairy based components. My bad! In thinking of how to salvage, i noticed I could scrape off much of the veggies on my lamb durum which is where most of the yogurt sauce was. Problem was, I still wanted some veggies to balance it out. I explained to the waiter that I forgot to mention I can't eat dairy but they didn't need to remake the whole thing, maybe just a plate of plain salad would already be highly appreciated. **They remade the whole dish without dairy and didn't charge me** !!!! I hate giving a local business only 1 star. But, I feel so disappointed. I spent $81 on food- Muhammara, Olive Pide, Grilled Chicken Pide, Falafel and Hummus, and Katiaf. The portions were extremely small for the price, and poorly packaged for to go. The pita was not freshly made and a store bought pita from the frozen section would have been better. The Katiaf was flavorless. It was unclear to me if the Grilled Chicken Pide had any form of chicken on it. The olive pide was fine but very small. The falafel and hummus was $17 and only 4 small pieces of flavorless falafel. This place is delicious! We're visiting for the weekend and we came here for a family dinner. I believe it's my first time having Turkish food and it did not disappoint. I loved my entire experience here - from the food to the ambiance to the service. I happened to be in town visiting my younger cousin who just moved out to Seattle. Her place was within walking distance of Cafe Turko but she hadn't tried it out yet. I'm so glad we stopped by! It was busy when we got there so was told it'd be about an hr wait. This only peaked my interest more. There's a brewery nearby that made waiting also very doable too. Note that Cafe Turko doesn't offer alcoholic drinks. The food more than makes up for this though. When we were seated, our very nice server gave us some recommendations which we leaped on. THE FOOD Our table of 3 ordered too much food but no regrets. We got a couple mezzes to start out - the Muhammara & the Kefir Cheese and Za'atar. The bread was soft, warm, and fresh and each dip-like dish was unique and tasty. Hands down my favorite restaurant in Seattle at the moment. I'm not one to go to a place more than once as I love to try new restaurants whenever given the opportunity to go out, but after having this the first time I proceeded to go back two more times that month. Everything here is amazing, but the customer service here really takes it to the next level. The first time I went I tried the Fasulye Pizza which were their marinated beans and the Karisik Side, a mixed meat flatbread. Both were AMAZING, and following it up with their Turkish coffee was the icing on top. I've also tried their roasted red pepper dip as well as their dolmas and both are to die for. I would eat here once a week if I could, and knowing this is a halal restaurant makes me even more eager to go back soon. read more

We had lunch here and everything we had was amazing! We tried the regular hummus and honestly it might be the best hummus we've ever had. Even my 11 yo who has tried and not liked hummus loved this one! We also had the Chicken Bayti and chicken skewers. The Bayti was awesomeness of chicken and cheese wrapped in a nice toasty wrap. Ever since the pandemic, we have been these impromptu picnics. This was our first time with cafe Turko. We had such amazing experience with memories created with the comfort of Mediterranean food. We ordered the rainbow hummus. Such brilliant taste and such brilliant flavors. The beetroot one was my favorite. My husband loved the green hummus and kids loved the garlic flavored one. The yellow was sweet and took us to different level of happiness. We also ordered the beyti chicken kabob( I hope I got the name right) . It came with a small helping of salad and woah such burst of flavors with every single bite. It was accompanied with tzatziki and a nice another level of tasteful sauce/ chutney( the redone ) it was amazing. We had such a great time eating out and watching the seals play while the sun was setting. I forgot to add, they were kind enough to call us, and inform us they had forgotten the pita bread. Many years ago, I visited both Istanbul and Ankara. But finding an authentic Turkish restaurant is not easy. Many cities do not have it. However, Seattle does and as far as I can tell, this is the only one. The service was very warm and friendly. The ambiance was warm and colorful, gives you the feel that you are actually somewhere else. We just went for 2 mains. First one was the Adana Kebab (notice the different spelling for Kebob). This is a dish from Eastern Turkey with long hand minced beef and lamb kebab mounted on a wide skewer and grilled. They advertise it as juicy and tender. It was not. Instead it was over charred on the outside and very dry on the inside. Also thought that for $22 they could have presented larger kebabs. It is served with rice, sumak, parsley, pickles and a dash of Antep pepper. The second dish was Manti (Turkish mini dumplings, stuffed with beef and spices, topped with melted butter, tomato and garlic-yogurt sauce. Hands down one of my favorite spots in Seattle, be it delivery or in-person. I'm always amazed at Cafe Turko's commitment to quality, taste, and presentation. The inside is SO pretty and seemed like it would be a really fun spot for lunch once dine-in is open again. The entrees we got were alright. The chicken pide was a 3/5, the chicken beyti was a solid wrap so I'd give it a 4/5! The kinafa was disappointing, probably a 2/5, but that might just be because we came late in the day? And I was hoping one of the servers would at least look at our table so that I can make an eye contact and may be wave politely and request some hot sauce. And I waited for 20 mins! I'm giving this low review mainly because of the poor service! This place did not disappoint. I found this place online and really came because the restaurant itself was so cute! The only downside is finding parking but if you know Fremont, this shouldn't be surprising. The food was to die for. The staff were so kind, especially since we ordered so much food, and the food was made with SPEED. Honestly I can't remember everything we ordered but I know that everything was so well seasoned and nobody was disappointed with their meals. Definitely a place I regularly recommend to people. The page does say they don't accept reservations but when I called each time they were happy to take a reservation for me, so don't let that deter you! If you are required to put your name on the list with the host, make sure you stick around and check back in with the host around the time she quoted you. While they ask for your phone number, they won't call you and you may end up waiting for your table longer than necessary. It has a good variety of vegetarian options that expands to more than just the typical falafel wrap or a falafel plate .. in fact they don't serve falafels at all. The restaurant was about half full on a Sunday afternoon. After being seated, we waited 20 minutes to be served water, only after the hostess saw us still waiting. Server finally arrives, doesn't greet us or give his name, only asks what we want. We order drinks and two entrees.
