Cafe Sofia has always been a go-to for me. While their crepes are out of this world, what brings me back is definitely their ice cream. They have a lot of flavors, and don't judge you for your guilty pleasures and will stack anything you want on top. The service is always kind and I love the space. They have tables that are large enough for your computer and food...the little things.

3.5/5 Cute and calming space that takes you out of the hustle and bustle of Weha. Take your pick of a snack from macarons, ice cream, baklava, sweet/savory crepes (made right in front of you!), and endless syrup options for drinks. Blueberry ice cream (kid scoop) {3.5/5}: The ice cream was too sweet for me, but there were real blueberry pieces throughout the ice cream was very enjoyable

A pretty decent cafe, with some fancy eats and french macaroons. Not bad, but not great. Came here on a whim, looking for coffee and looking to try some new places. The place is small but cozy, not a lot of seating and the front counter didn't allow for a lot of room to maneuver. Opted for a mexican latte and a few french macaroons along with a chocolate chip cookie. The Mexican latte had a little bit of a zip to it, they used a cinnamon flavored syrup to give it a bit of heat. Beyond the zip, not much to remember about it. The french macaroons, weirdly enough the texture was a bit dense and mealy. Kind of like the almondflour wasn't sifted. However the flavor of the fillings was very strong, which I appreciate. If you got a pistachio macaroon, it's going to hit you over the head with a pistachio flavor. The chocolate chip cookie was a well executed chocolate chip cookie. Soft, good chocolate, decent size. There wasn't anything that differed this chocolate chip cookie versus any other chocolate cookie though. I liked the flavors offered, but everything was a little off. It's good, but there's a lot of good options in the area for both coffee and baked goods. Worth a try

Came here for a breakfast/coffee date with hubby just to try a new cafe since we moved to CT. The coffee is very tasty and the crepes are delicious! It's a cute little interior with some seating available. They have several menu options. The location is nice as it's in a central part of town with lots to walk around and look at.

Went to this cafe to pick up some macarons for my mother. This cafe is super cute and I definitely need to come back to try come more pastries and ice cream. I ordered a savory crepe and it was alright, although a little pricey and it took way longer to be completed than expected. I suppose that can be a good thing since the crepes are fresh and if I weren't busy running errands I wouldn't have been in a rush and probably would have had a better sit-down experience. My bf ordered a funky monkey smoothie and it was very filling. There are a few outdoor tables available on the patio and it is a nice spot for coffee in Blue Back Square. My mom enjoyed the macarons and I definitely would like to return to see more of what Cafe Sofia has to offer.

I've gone to Cafe Sofia many times through the years. I've mostly had their coffee, but I've also had their delicious Belgian waffles, piled with plenty of fresh fruit and whipped cream. They have a nice selection of European desserts, pastries and macaroons. They also have ice cream. Today I stopped in for their coffee, I also got a macaroon. They have a large selection of coffee flavors to chose from. Then there was a menu of their top selling flavors. I got the Toasted Marshmallow iced coffee. I couldn't decide on a macaroon, the young man suggested I get the passionfruit macaroon. The coffee was excellent as excepted. I like the Toasted Marshmallow, I can't say it tasted like marshmallow, but it was solid, with plenty of strong coffee flavor. Also their small, is a very generous size. The Passionfruit macaroon, was very fresh, but this flavor was too sweet for me. It's still a very good pick, in its golden yellow color, and the sweet creme in the center. I probably would go for a different flavor next time. Cafe Sofia is very small, they have a few spots for outdoor seating, and a few for indoor seating. They deliver excellent coffee and desserts.

Stopped in on Valentines Day for a warm cup of chai. The chai was delicious. The cafe was cozy. Only issue was the lady waiting on us was not friendly. She never welcomed us, sat playing on her phone while I was standing there ready to order, never smiled and never said "thank you" "enjoy" or "have a nice day". For me that made it a one and done. I gave it a 3 star rating because it was very clean and the chai was really good.

Local cafe in the downtown. I loved the vibe. Quaint and cozy. People are relax, friendly and warm. Good location. We walked in for snacks. Got ourselves comfortable on a high bar table with free WiFi and outlet. Food is great. Loved my crepe.

This place has cheated me twice when I ordered a drink and they filled it half full. There will not be a third time.

We both greatly enjoyed our crepes: they made for a quick and relatively healthy breakfast. The vegetarian crepe had incredibly fresh veggies including spinach, beans and edamame, delicate, spongy and flavourful tofu, and swirls of lovely savory (Sriracha?) mayo. The crepes were also beautifully presented and I couldn't resist photographing my crepe. For dessert, I got a scoop of the salted caramel gelato, which had the perfect amount of sweetness. All in all, I was highly impressed with the flavour, quality and presentation of what I had tried. The restaurant is conveniently located on Main Street, and there was plenty of parking on a weekday morning. The seating area was clean, and the establishment also had a range of savory and sweet snacks, including green tea chocolate truffles, and Japanese "black" coffee bars. There was also a make-it-yourself cotton candy machine that we did not manage to try. The people at the counter (the same people making the crepes) were polite and generally pleasant. Overall, highly recommend a visit if you're in Middletown.

It's an unassuming building but they've made it very cute! They have painted the brick around the bottom to look like stone as well as a continuation of the awning painted around the top. The inside is just as interesting. There is a huge wooden map of the world on the wall, a piano, and the lights over some of the tables are made from teapots. There is a large bar in the middle and plenty of seating. This place is larger than it appeared from the outside. The menu offered several types of teas- white, green, herbal, black with several different flavors within each type of tea. I chose a tropical white tea. It came out nice and hot with a packet of honey. My friend ordered a sweet crepe with mixed fruit. She loved it! I decided to try their unique offering of 6 mixed pancakes. It included 4 savory pancakes (beet, zucchini, squash, potato) and two sweet pancakes (Oladi, farm cheese). One of the sweet pancakes was fluffy but dry and flavorless. I think it was the Oladi. All of the other pancakes were excellent and the service was flawless. What a cute place with great food and service! I'll definitely be back!

Our waitress Monica was beyond welcoming and knowledgeable. She made us feel at home. The low dinning table with low seated sofas made us feel very cozy.
