Not bad at all. I had the shrimp & broccoli & my friend had the sweet & sour chicken. We both enjoyed our meals. The portions were a good size (could easily feed 2 people). This isn't a fancy place by any means but the food is pretty tasty. We were given samples of various appetizers (the scallion pancakes were my fave) while we waited for our food. This wasn't the typical off post Korean BBQ. Get there early! The lunch crowd started filtering in around 1130 but thankfully we were already seated. I had the Sol Dot Bibim Bap and it was amazing. I'm updating this because we left Missouri almost 2 years ago and this is the one place I miss from the area. I cannot find Bulgogi anywhere like Cafe Korea. My wife and I went here to try Korean food for the first time and loved it. The service was great and the setting was casual. Our food was delicious and it was comfortable. The foods are delicious! I recommend the kimchi jiggae w extra tofu and beef rib soup. Staffs are always nice and friendly. The place are always packed when I go. One of our favorite places EVER! With that being said, I will have to be honest. Despite their good food, there's definitely some cons for that pro. Prices have gone up and sometimes the servers are super rude. We've been here over a dozen times and it never fails that drinks aren't refilled or we go unnoticed. A lot of times we have had food forgotten or had the wrong things brought out. A lot of times too when you go to the front, they will act as if they don't see you there and continue with their conversations and look right past you. Sometimes even walk away. But other than that, the food is amazing. I'm from Hawaii so this place really reminds me of home. I definitely recommend their crab ragoons, kalbi, and bulgogi. They have some of the BEST kimchi I've ever had. Sometimes we buy kimchi to go just so I can have some to eat with our rice or noodles. This place is cash only so I highly recommend you have cash going in because their ATM fee has also gone up. read more

By far the best restaurant in the Waynesvegas-St Bob-Ft Wood metroplex. I travel a lot and have yet to find a another Korean restaurant able to match up to Cafe Korea. Typical small family owned business right outside the gates of Ft Leonardwood Army Base. Staff is all ladies from what I've seen and are very friendly....make sure you have your ears "open" as they tend to have a strong Korean accent and you may have a hard time with a few words. Food was great and came out quickly. The visit I went on here was with my husband and his classmates from base....they are willing to help large groups by pushing tables together like they did for us and do have high chairs for kids. Food was tasty, cooked all the way and seasoned nicely, and plentiful to share between 2 people if you order one entree. They do have lunch specials that come out in bento boxes....you order what you want off the menu and in the bento box comes a sushi roll, a yakimondu roll, rice, etc. The dumplings were tasty, but lacked enough mixture inside of them. My husband ordered sesame chicken for my sons, but were told they didn't have it among other things....so don't be surprised if you order something and get told it's not available. At the end of our lunch we were given fortune cookies for dessert and that topped off our sons happiness after they were disappointed to hear what they wanted for lunch was not available. If my almost 3 year old finishes off his lunch and starts eating my sweet and sour chicken lunch plate then the food must be good hands down! Overall, the place is constantly buzzing with activity, you have to pay with cash...although they do have a ATM machine on the side of their counter if you don't have enough cash, and it's one of the local military foodie hang outs. This place is amazing!!!! Being that I am Korean it was like having home cooked meals. Sure it can be busy and crowded, but definitely worth the wait! The food is to die for! :) I had the Kalbi Ribs and they were right on point, between my daughter and I there were no left overs. And all the little side dishes you get are delicious!!! The food here is amazing!!!!!! HOWEVER, they need to hire another waitress! The last 2 times we have gone it has been busy therefore we were sat in the back room. Although the waitress is nice she is very forgetful too. Both times the waitress never came back to refill our drinks. Last night I had to get a bottle of water or of the cooler. Then they forgot our appetizer. We reminded them and the still never brought it. And then tried to charge me for it. It looked like everyone in the back room got poor service. I seen one guy get up and get his own silverware. Like I said, the food is great and the waitress is nice. Just bring your own bottle of water because you're not getting refills. read more
