My family and I didn't have the best experience here. The man serving us lacked customer service. We felt rushed when ordering our food. He slammed my sisters dish on the table, turned around and walked away. On top of bad customer service, our side dish had flys even before reaching our table. I love to patronize small businesses. So I hadn't been here in a while because my last experience wasn't so great, but this time I was so happy. First, they brought back the homemade yaki mandu. I was super disappointed that they served frozen mandu the last couple times I went, so to find homemade mandu again made my day (you can tell by the wrappers). I was TDY at Fort Leonard Wood and was craving some Asian food. Being from LA and kind of a food snob, made me hesitant to eat at an Asian place in Missouri. Walking in I was greeted very warmly and sat at my table immediately. I ordered a bibimbap which was delightfully delicious. Along with the bibimbap, they serve all of the traditional vegetables and protein side dishes. Overall, the place had tasty food and amazing service. The only thing that differs from a Cali establishment is that this is a small town and the locals are less accustomed to individuals who are non-gender conforming. So, the one star deduction has more to do with the ambiance (other customers) versus the food and staff. read more

Pretty darn good! I took my boss there mainly because he had never had Korean food before and we were in the area. Not only did I really enjoy my meal but he was very happy with his as well. We both went with their lunch special bento box - does that make this a fusion place - and the waitress brought out some ban chan at my request. The boss went for pork bulgogi and I opted for the beef. He ate everything in sight and I really enjoyed mine as well. Really great flavor although not as bold as some that I ate on the peninsula...but I guess that is to be expected. I will certainly be back although I did nick them a star for being a cash-only establishment. If I can give this place NO STARS I would!! The food was decent, but the customer service was COMPLETE AND UTTER TRASH. For one DO NOT USE THEIR ATM. I asked them over the phone if they took debit cards and she told me they did. Once I got to the restaurant I saw a sign on the door that stated they don't take debit cards/credit cards or checks. Which was issue #1 because she lied to me, withdrawing cash wasn't really an issue for me because they had an ATM. The machine stated that i would be charged an additional $2, which again was not an issue cause that is pretty normal. Paid for my food and once I got home I received a notification from my bank stating how much money I withdrew which wasn't adding up. I called the establishment back and asked them why I was charged an additional $5. She thought she had muted herself but I can clearly hear them talking to each other. The response was IDK JUST HANG UP THE PHONE. I tried calling back twice and they decided they weren't going to pick up the phone. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO BACK TO THIS PLACE. read more

Cafe Korea is THE best place to eat if you're in the Waynesville/St. Robert/Fort area. Since my parents have lived in this area for about 8 years and I visit them fairly often, I have tried pretty much every restaurant in the area and let me tell you....nothing comes close to the quality, taste and service of Cafe Korea! I grew up with a Korean best friend and her mother was an amazing cook. This is the only korean restaurant that even comes close to the traditional meals I was lucky enough to experience. Here's a brief run down of what makes it so awesome: -clean and nice establishment -great service -great food -great prices You can tell that the business owners really pride themselves on their establishment and what they offer. From the minor improvements to the overall cleanliness, it's evident. This restaurant really impressed me with the authenticity, and the waitress was just awesome. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that you can only pay with cash and the ATM inside charges you a fee to pull money out. Just a little inconvenient is all. Other than that, great place. They are friendly when I call in for pick up and always have my food ready to go when I arrive. They also make really good egg rolls. This place has pretty standard Korean food and it's yummy but I have to say, its REALLY pricey compared to many other really great Korean places I've been to in several different states. You'd think that they're already saving enough money with not taking debit/credit cards and instead forcing customers who don't carry cash to use the ATM which then charges a fee to withdraw. But I guess not. I'd have given another star if any of the following apple: the prices were more reasonable, portions at least matched the price, the staff were a bit friendlier or even if I didnt have to withdraw money just to buy some lunch. read more

We came across this restaurant on Yelp while in town checking out houses around Fort Leonard wood and it seemed pretty good according to the reviews. So beginning with the outside appearance the restaurant looks a little run down and is part of an older, small plaza. Most run down looking restaurants are the best in my opinion. We walked in and waited to be seated, then we were sat at a table that wasn't even cleaned off, the waitress just took a few things off the table and didn't come back to wash the rest of the table- "no big deal". We ordered the bento box chicken teriyaki and I got the spicy pork bento box with fried rice. We then got our food and the meats were more salty than I preferred and there was no flavor to my fried rice. The kimchi was also just salt and cabbage. The waitress didn't even come to check up and see if we needed anything especially water due to the insanely high sodium level. But I managed to grab her attention when she was cleaning off plates at the table next to us. Oh ALSO, they only take cash! I went up to pay because she still never came back to give us a check and thankfully I had cash in my wallet. So basically what I'm trying to say is that my experience was not the best and I will most likely not be going back. read more
