The food is tasty, and portions are large enough. Classic Italian plates and plethora of pizzas upfront. Prices would be more palatable if they were a dollar or so less. Dinner entrees come with a large salad and one basket of garlic knots for the table. Menu is large. The waitress was a bit pushy in getting our orders before we had even decided what we wanted, and it made us feel rushed and not relaxed. And when we wanted her we couldn't find her!

100% probably the best pizza I've tried in Long Island so far. Really beautiful inside also. They had such creative slices, like a clam pizza and one with calamari. I can't wait to go back and try more. Glad i was driving on the service road and came across this place. Definitely put this on your must try pizza spots!

Love this place. Came here on a lunch date and have been obsessed ever since. The baked ziti is just how I like it. A flavorful sauce and a healthy portion . These garlic knots are sooooo delicious ! The dressing on the side salad is amazing. Jill is such a fantastic person. I won't even call her a waitress . She makes it seem like you've been friends for years. This is just an overall great place. Good vibes. Good ppl. Good food.

Grabbed a slice of pizza here for the first time. What a beautiful pizzeria slash restaurant. And since a nice selection of pizza. I don't know the name of the slice I got but it had penne and breaded chicken cutlets cut up on top. It was delicious! I will be back!

I stopped by Cafe Gio the other night and immediately realized it's been way too long! Sal was as hospitable as ever and my favorite waitress Shannon took great care of us as she always does! She keeps it real and is an absolute hoot. Sal absolutely crushed it as usual. I started with a rice ball (stuffed with bolognese meat sauce) and it was out of this world. I also tried one of his famous garlic knots with chicken parm stuffed inside.. wow.. incredible. Already feeling like I was on the brink of being stuffed and needing a nap, I ordered an avocado chicken salad and took half of it to go. It consisted of mixed greens, tossed with fresh avocado, grilled chicken, walnuts, dried cranberries & mandarin oranges. Their sesame dressing on the side really brought all the different flavors and textures together nicely. Sal - you the man!

This is a location I visit once and a while prior to grocery shopping. The pizza isn't bad...just not really worth the price. For anything other then a normal slice...a small fountain drink and "fancy" pizza will cost you about 10 bucks. More if you aren't paying cash. The food is good but the slices are small. Take that for what it's worth.

Walking into this pizzeria/restaurant, there was a great aroma of garlic in the air. The display window had beautiful looking pies but we were there for pasta night. It was quiet when we arrived and our waitress was a really nice young lady. I looked over the menu before we even got there and am happy to say that I would eat EVERY dish there. Fresh, hot, soft, pillowy garlic knots came out first. If their food is anything as good as their garlic knots, then we're in for a treat. I asked for baked clams which had nice toasty breadcrumbs on top and yummy whole clams. I ordered the rigatoni Ala gio, their signature dish with Italian sausage, broccoli rabe and sun dried tomatoes. My husband had the Belezza, fresh tomatoes, basil, marinara, fresh mozzarella in a pink cream sauce. He enjoyed it. We will be returning.

We go to Café Gio all of the time for pizza. The meat lovers pizza is especially delicious. They smother it in meatballs and pepperoni.

Nah - the boys just ate that. Chinese or Asian fusion? We just had that the other day. Diner? Nah. My daughter remembered Post Office Cafe and we went. It was very loud in the front and we almost walked out but figured we'd give it a try. They seated us way in the back (I had no idea this place was so huge!) where it was quieter. I ordered a chicken salad of some kind with avocado and salad. My son ordered the mac and cheese - it was the highlight of dinner! Absolutely delicious. His friend got the Thai calamari which was decent until he got to the bottom. It was soaked in seasoning and too sweet. My daughter got the buttered pasta - children's portion. I'll let the photo speak for itself. It was drenched in butter. On the bright side - service was great, most of the meals were excellent, waffle fries on point. I mentioned the pasta and showed our server the pool of butter. He took it off our bill without even asking. So ... 4 stars - 5 stars for local business service and just lost the one star for the less than stellar meal and app. Will probably be back!

We gave a phone number and walked to another restaurant in case a table opened up faster there. While we were waiting at the other place, the hosts at BS contacted us and said we're next for a table so we walked back. When we got there, there were two groups waiting and one of them were called to get seated. We asked how much longer and the hosts said that we had to wait another 15 minutes because they had to accommodate a reservation. It was annoying just because they called us and told us our table was ready and then had us come and wait - the other restaurant also had a table waiting for us but we decided not to leave because it was cold out and did not want to walk back. To make matters worse, a couple of guys came in, gave their number, and were called for a table in under 10 minutes. I'm assuming because they were a two-top. It was still frustrating. After returning, a total of five groups of people were say before we finally got a table. Onece we got our table, our server quickly took our order. My cousin had their short rib entrée with mashed and veggies. Her cousin had the power bowl. I ordered the short rib-stuffed shells. I was not expecting whya arrived to the table. It was blanketed under thick cheese, with what looked like, canned gravy poured on top. I tried it and parts were cold. I went for one of the "stuffed shells" and nothing was inside. The pasta tasted undercooked and the entire dish was bland. For $22 I would expect housemade gravy, tender short rib, stuffed shells, and salt. My cousin ate about half of her short rib entrée and her cousin ate about half of her power bowl, also complaining that it as cold. The food came out very quickly for how it's assembled, which also is a red flag. The server graciously took my order off the bill. I declined ordering anything else. We then waited for her to return so we could get the check. She disappeared. I had to go to the host and ask her to find the server. Another person came and disappeared, returning with our actual server. We got the bill, paid and left. I think we were charged gratuity and I wish I checked before paying because I think I got duped into a double gratuity. The vibe of this place is a mix between college kids and ladies' night for the older crowd. The music is too loud and everyone is screaming because they're competing with the too loud music. We could not hear ourselves talk. It was weird to be at a table and have to yell. In Westchester, we have places like this but it's still a restaurant and you're able to hold a conversation. This place doesn't know what it wants to be - A bar? A club? A restaurant? Parking was horrendous, but I did luck out with a spit right across the street. It's playing a game of musical chairs - you're basically driving up and down the street, hoping the car you're near is about to leave. This restaurant was a suggestion from a person that ended up bailing last minute and I wish we took that as a sign. Maybe I'd come back for brunch service but I'm not too keen on that.

It is easy to be enveloped by the plethora of great…read morerestaurants in the competitive nature that is NYC, but when you venture all the way out here to Babylon, NY, you have to change that mindset a bit. The Brixton is a beautiful restaurant with very relaxed and casual vibes. The word around town is that their drinks are awesome. What about their food, though? They originally would not seat us in the middle of the afternoon because most of the empty tables were reserved. We had to request to sit outside, which was empty, before they decided to serve us. Odd that they did not even offer that to us. The General Tso' Cauliflower was the only great thing served to us. It is incredibly crispy and flavorful. You almost forgot that you were eating a piece of vegetable at times. The Short Rib Brisket Sesame burger was shocking. $18 for two White Castles-sized sliders. It was easily consumed, and I was left much to be desired. This is most definitely an appetizer item, not an entree. The Chicken Waffle was good. Nicely deep-fried and packs a lot of flavor. The waffle looked dubious. If I had to guess, it might not be mad fresh to order. Essentially, it's 3 drumsticks/wings over a possibly frozen Eggo waffle. I would recommend a second dish if you are looking to get full. The Steak frites and Eggs Benedict were the final dishes served. It is hard to mess these dishes up, but the ribeye was nicely seasoned and cut up. The dishes were nicely displayed. Overall, this is just an OK experience. When the deep-fried cauliflower appetizer is the most memorable dish here, it is quite alarming. Portion sizes are on the small end, and none of the flavors for the entrees really stuck out. Perhaps I will come here strictly for the drinks next time.
