I ordered 2 greek salads and 1 chicken gyro. Honestly the food was super disappointing. Both salads were mostly lettuce with very little toppings... it was a thick bed of wet lettuce and 4 olives, some shredded cheese and overripe cucumbers. Something a 5 year old would make. Very very rude woman - on my lunch break, ordered a gyro - Im someone who works outdoors , it was hot as hell outside- just wanted to eat in a/c before my half hour was over - she basically asked me to leave because school was getting out soon . What does school getting out have to me eating in the restaurant - food I bought - willing to pay if there's table service fee whatever . I mean Im a paying customer . . Love this place. It's small and the waitstaff are great. Love the Greek decor too. Bathrooms are clean. We had the saganiki and always perfect. Tomato on top was a bit mushy but tasty. I have been coming to the Greek Garden for more than 10 years now. The food is consistently high quality, and the service is ALWAYS WONDERFUL! The Greek Garden has a comfortable atmosphere, with authentic Greek decorations. This was actually my first visit this year. Rosanne still remembers my order-Gyro combo. I think some of the other customers were a little jealous, because they were really staring at me. Haha. And I bet you not many other restaurants you've been to have both cash and charge prices on the menu. This is the ONLY Greek restaurant I visit on Long Island. I recommend the Greek Garden 100%. There is a steady stream of customers present. The food is so fresh. The service is professional, and fast. The restaurant is located just southeast of the High School. This is an updated review of this establishment: Food is still good, but like another reviewer said, the Greek salad is weak, and the portions are small. Who doesn't put grape leaves in a Greek salad?! Anchovies are 85 cents extra. Really, they need to charge me an extra 85 cents?! Obviously, they nickel & dime you for everything, including soft drink refills, which, by the way, come in a glass a little bigger than a shot glass. Don't go there starving, you'll leave hungry. Lousy kind of day for me , but it was so beautiful outside I didn't want to go home, I was at the dog park almost until 7 with my scary German Shepherd Holly both hungry who in the world would let both of us eat ( just maybe some kind restaurants would give me take out & I'll eat on a bench or wherever) we'll walking around my dog tried go in actually just her head this woman comes out & says do you want to eat here I'm like but my dog Roseann & another woman bring out a table with a table cloth & utensils & a chair for me . Lovely authentic Greek restaurant right in Babylon town. The owners are lovely, friendly, and make you feel like family. The decor is inviting, the restaurant is clean and with a lot of seating. The service is impeccable. The food is all fresh and delicious. The falafel appetizer is a must. You can tell how fresh and homemade it is, including its dipping sauce. The salmon over Greek salad is to die for.. so fresh and a huge portion! It's enough for two meals really. Any dessert is homemade and so delicious. Greek salad is weak. Disapponted to say the least. The lunch special was described as dinner salad ( greek) and cup soup. This is a Lovely local hidden gem, As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Rosalie the owner, was asked if I wanted the newspaper which was very nice, many items to choose from on the menu everything was delicious and fresh the service was terrific the saganaki was the best I ever had, This is truly old world cooking, they even have a kids menu, The lamb shank with orzo was a special and was delicious , the frappe is like the ones they have in Greece, stop by you won't be disappointed, judging by all the take out orders the Greek Garden is a popular spot in the community, will definitely be back , the dressing on the Greek salad is home made, so are the desserts read more

Visit Date April 4, 2014 Came here with Hubby, my mother-in-law and brother-in-law for dinner. The restaurant itself is weird & whimsical looking. They have a bunch of rooster decorations and some cow related items. The walls are pink. The photos of Greece are nice but a little bit outdated looking. The furniture is nice but also slightly outdated looking. The food was great though! Everything a Greek restaurant should be. Wonderful Taramasala, good hummus, amazing falafel and giant pieces of yummy baklava! I didn't get a chance to sample the spinach pie, maybe next time. Definitely a great Greek place, I loved the Greek coffee as well, but don't drink it unless you can stand your coffee to be strong like a shot of espresso. read more

My Husband turned 60 this past Wednesday. We were going to go and have dinner there, but I'm disabled and wasn't feeling well, so we ordered online and he picked the food up. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer, he ordered the gyro platter and I ordered the falafel wrap. The mushrooms were absolutely delicious. His gyro platter was scrumptious and the rice that came with the platter, was so tasty and buttery. I thoroughly enjoyed my wrap and we also ordered the baklava for desert. Yummy! Our Meal was Perfect! Roseann was so pleasant to deal with. We called them after we ate to tell them how happy we were with our dinner, and definitely found our little Greek Gem. Roseann was so happy to hear that our meal was just delicious. ( I'm sure they dont get very many calls telling them that they were pleased with their meal. Been meaning to try this place for such a long time! So the interior is very clean. Not a huge place but it's really cute and feels oddly really comfortable. It's family owned and you will feel it. The owner greeted us with the biggest smile and allowed us to choose where we wanted to sit. The best way to explain the service is that I felt like I was in their home. It was exactly the sort of vibe my friend and I needed. I felt like I was sitting at a dinner table while my friend's mom (the owner) offered to make me food or grab a drink for me. The service was so very personalized and honestly, I would go back just for that. Forgot what my friend ordered but I had the large Greek salad. There are no onions on the salad which is perfect for me but there were scallions mixed into the salad. Normally I'd switch up my order but i was promised there weren't a ton mixed in and she right. If you like onions, maybe ask for some on top? My friend felt like there was something missing without the onions. The olives aren't pitted, not a deal breaker, but caught me by surprise. The gyro meat was delicious and plentiful though. We also ordered the spanikopita appetizer and I could have eaten it by myself. Tzatziki tasted fresh and was perfect on top of my salad and with the pita bread. I finished off with a Greek coffee which I had never had before? Anyway, it's a little espresso which I was asked if I wanted it sweetened and I said sure. It was a little too sweet for me but that was my mistake, I should have been clear on that. In other words, go check them out. You'll feel like family while you're there and the food hits just the right spot. Full disclosure, I know the owners. That does not sway my taste buds, but I can assure you that you are getting authentic Greek cooking. Owners and staff alike will make you feel welcome. The decor has a country feel and while the register up front attends to plenty of take out, the restaurant still feels cozy and welcome. Went into this with high hopes to be honest and I have to admit I was dissapointed on several levels from price to overall food quality/authenticity My order was 2x gyro sandwich platters (and by platter they mean comes with small Greek salad in the same container as steaming gyro sandwich). 1x chicken gyro. Order of French fries and an extra sauce. This came to 46 DOLLARS! Each meal was 12.95 (high considering it's literally just a sandwich with alittle side salad) and then from there somehow a chicken gyro and side order of fries turned out to be 20 dollars....... The gyros themselves were very small and not what you'd expect from a Greek restaurant. This was more akin to a gyro you would get from a street cart in NYC or the food court at a mall. It wasn't bad but it wasn't exceptional (as a Greek restaurant should be). The yogurt sauce was nearly flavorless. Barely could recognize any sort of dill, lemon or garlic flavor. It might as well of been plain Greek yogurt with a sorry dose of paprika on top. French fries were standard (one step above cafeteria) but honestly I didn't really have high hopes. I can tell 100% every item served to us came from a Greek food distribution warehouse. You can tell the meat and Pita were very generic. That being said my wife enjoyed her chicken gyro as she only eats chicken and whenever she gets a chicken gyro she likes it to be in her words "as fake as possible". Good lunch specials that included a subpar lemon lacking lemon soup that needed more kick and al dente orzo. Where was the pucker? Salad was ok, mixed greens with Italian dressing with some herbs, 2 Greek olives and tomato, and way too light on the feta cheese. I miss Greek salads in Greece where they give you a large square hunk of feta, now that would have been better. I've lived in Babylon for almost 15 years and never tried this place. The food was delicious. The service was great and, who I imagine to be the owners, were friendly and accommodating. My 4 yo said it was the "best burger in town". I had chicken souvlaki pita and the chicken was not over cooked and was very tasty. We will definitely be returning. read more

Went here for lunch with my daughter midweek. We both had the lamb gyro and Greek salad lunch combo. It was overfilled with meat and had a delicious yogurt sauce. The salad was large and tasty. We enjoyed our meal with good service, but I deducted one star for being charged for a second (small) soda. While leaving a local store we decided to stop in for dinner. The food was good and solid, nothing to complain about. It was kind of better than average Greek fare. I love that they make Greek coffee here and the waitress even "read my grinds" after I was done drinking it. Kind of like an old Greek superstition I guess. The bill was average and the waitress was very nice and pleasant. If we were in the area I would definitely go back again.
