Loved this restaurant for years. Last week we brought home two Greek salads with chicken on one of them. Was my mother's 81 birthday and her salad as well as my own soaked in water with wilted lettuce. Not alittle bit of water either. So unappetizing and had to throw away. It was late on a Wednesday so just ate the chicken. Don't understand when so much of menu has lettuce why they can't at least use a salad spinner to rid majority of the water? Delicious Greek food that is worth the wait. I had takeout from here last Friday. The chicken souvlaki dinner plate. I substituted rice for lemon potatoes. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and tender. The potatoes were equally delicious. I just wish they were cut a little smaller like a wedge instead of potato halves. The dish also came with a delicious and fresh salad, house made vinaigrette dressing, warm pita bread and white sauce. Their portion size is huge, so I was able to get two meals out of this. I would highly recommend calling in your order ahead of time because they get really busy. That was my mistake and I waited 45minutes for my order, but not most people there were picking up phone orders. That is the trick. YES! YES! YES! I had been in the search for greek food for months now, really because I wanted lemon potatoes Cosmos had great reviews so I finally gave it a try. I think the "restaurant" in the name threw me off because its a smaller place and currently only had 1 or 2 tables (probably bc of covid but not much space for many more regardless) small countertop area also. I ordered the souvlaki platter with lemon potatoes and the potatoes were A-MAZ-ING!! I'm not sure if they made a mistake but the "platter" was more of a sandwich because it was wrapped like a burrito in pita - regardless delicious also. I came with a small side salad and additional pita with tzatziki sauce. Would HIGHLY recommend this place. I will definately be ordering more frequently. read more

At first, I passed by this place with my husband and it popped out to me. Once I saw the place I turned to him and said that I wanted to try it out. That was about 2-3 weeks ago. A week or so ago I told my friend about it and we went to go and eat it. We both LOVED it. The service was great and so was the food. We tried the lamb gyro and we both loved it. The tzatziki sauce was amazing. I've had some that were mediocre and was very disappointed in it, since I think it may be 4 ingredients. If I'm not mistaken. I will definitely come back here again and have more friends and have family come and try the food. I would love to try more of their food. The price was good in my eyes. There was a few tables, but the place isn't that big, which I don't mind at all. There is a public bathroom which is fantastic considering it's size. read more

Located in a tiny strip of stores this place is easy to miss. But if you're a local you know Cusmos has been around for many years under a different ownership. Now I don't know who's recipes they're using now but it's obvious new owners have stepped their game up because the food has been amazing the last few times I've been here. They are definitely putting their Greek foot up in their marinade. Because it's so good you don't need the tzatziki sauce but you wanna get some because even THAT has been elevated to another level. The pork souvlaki was perfect! But the killer was the lamb chops! You have a choice of lemon potatoes, rice pilaf or French Fries. I opted for the rice. Delicately flavored it was the perfect accompaniment to the moist well marinaded lamb chops. They even asked how I wanted them cooked. Medium rare please.. And they were! This is one of my favorite Greek places. There's no shortage of good Greek on Long Island, but this place is a hidden gem. Tucked away in an ordinary shopping plaza, the seating area is small but the food is tremendous. The gyros are as authentic as it gets, with pitas so fresh they'll smack ya. They do deliver here but I prefer to pick up in person, since everything is made fresh it can take a little while to get your food but it is worth the wait. read more

We've been on the prowl for decent Greek in the area. Have we found it? Opa! *smashes plate* I really loved my falafel gyro, one of the better ones I've had. Would love to try this with some hummus to moisten it up a bit as I'm not so big on tahini. Hubs and the kiddo got chicken gyros. Big Guy thought it was "okay" but would go back...he says he is more of a fan of he shredded chicken variety. Little guy ate his weight in the chicken and loved it, two toddler thumbs up. Now that the weather is getting cooler I'd come back to try the avgolemono soup..a Greek favorite of mine. Super friendly service was a huge plus. I'll return for sure. read more

Might be the best gyro I've ever had. This isn't you're typical gyro that has 2 slices of lamb on it and is 75% lettuce. This thing has at least 6, and the ratio of meat to vegetables to sauce is perfect. A plate is $15.50 and comes with a side of rice, lemon potatoes, or french french fries, and a small Greek salad, (which is more like a medium size) and an extra pita. Not the cheapest but fairly priced for all that you get. Have been here twice in the past few weeks and will continue to come. Highly recommend checking this place out. read more

The food is good and considered a local Greek favorite. The place itself is small (no bar) so probably best for take-out. If planning to dine-in, expect to wait quite a bit, but I'm okay with that since I know (or at least hope) they are working on the quality of dishes. Dinner salads are fresh. Don't let the small take out storefront fool you! This is most likely the best Greek food we have ever had. On about a once a week occurrence we get take out or delivery from Cusmo's. We usually have a chicken gyro plate, grilled calamari, veggie gyro, fallafel, and a few other odds and ends. The only one dish we aren't very fond of is the spanakopita, it seems to not be cheesy and flavorful enough. Otherwise everything else on the menu is excellent, the bill can go pretty high pretty quickly, but the food is worth every penny. The staff is very nice and the delivery guys come pretty darn fast as well. If you are in the area and craving Greek, please give this great place a try! read more
