Found out later that it was formerly Watami. I recognized the window view from the inside. Arrived a few minutes before our reservation, and we were seated right away at a cozy corner. The place had several tables occupied, and it looks like we got there at the right time. Drink and appetizer orders were taken, and we had a little time to look through the menu. A bottle of wine and a couple of cocktails came out and entree orders were taken promptly. I had looked it up ahead of time, and had my sights set on the Paella Valencia. We also got the Grilled Octopus (perfectly grilled and seasoned), empanadas which were smaller than I expected, but delicious (Might have been too much if they were bigger). we also had the seafood-stuffed jalapenos, and calamari for appetizers, and others in our party got the lamb chops, stuffed sole, and salmon for their mains. I finished my entire pot of paella, it was fantastic. I always like when the chef comes around to see firsthand how the guests are enjoying their meals, and Chef Nunez did just that. I think we'll bring other people here next time, there were many other items that caught my eye that reminded me of our time in Spain.

Turns out there was a Christmas party happening in the back, must have been quite the rager. We were referred here by some locals that seemed to know most of the wait staff so that seemed promising. The drinks were average the food was SUPERB. We were a fairly large group (maybe), there were 8 of us. The food presentation was that of a high end restaurant, and it was definitely not my typical menu so that was a nice change of pace. Don't expect a Chilis menu or some other basic chain menu. One downfall, one of the dinners came out about twenty minutes after everyone else's. The manager took care of it which was the decent thing to do, maybe it was mixed into the party room, idk. Overall a great experience.

My husband got the paella. Portion was huge, he loved every different piece of meat in it and said the seafood was excellent! I eat zero seafood or fish and I loved the lemon chicken dish I had. 10/10 and can't wait to eat it again! Also-- you cannot skip the sangria. Need a pitcher or half pitcher

The restaurant was busy, and they offered valet parking, which made arrival easy. When we arrived, our table wasn't ready yet, but the staff kindly asked if we wanted high-top tables by the bar, which we declined. The bar area is quite expansive and has a cozy feel, so I'm not sure why I didn't recognize the restaurant from my previous visit. Once seated, we were promptly approached by our server, who took our drink orders with promptness and friendliness. One thing that hasn't changed is the restaurant's lively atmosphere. Its noisy and can be difficult to hear each other, especially if you're sitting near a crowded table enjoying sangria. The lively ambiance is part of the experience, but it does make conversation a bit challenging. For our meal, I ordered the Lobster Meat & Shrimp in garlic sauce, which I found to be very flavorful. My partner ordered the Chicken Lemoine, and she enjoyed it very much. Overall, our dining experience was pleasant, and the service was excellent throughout the evening. Sangria 71, I will most definitely return for Happy Hour.

He requested a surprise birthday candle in the cake and they also put it on a plate that says happy birthday. Really nice presentation! He unfortunately didn't love their version of fra diavolo because it has a ton of peppers. Otherwise it was tasty, he just picked out most of the peppers. The seafood in it was cooked well and he said the shrimp was his favorite part. We also added extra tapas - -brussels sprouts (VERY good) -baked clams (these have stuffing with shrimp and a slice of bacon on top. We actually didn't like these, would prefer clams without a pile of stuffing).

Update. We have been back numerous times, this time with cousins and their wives or a "plus one,"…read moreeight of us at a tight, rectangular table in the back. There are several hanging paintings on the walls, not worth a look, so you don't feel like you might be in Spain or Italy. Otherwise, it's a friendly, busy restaurant on weekend evenings, so reservations are recommended. Entrées, their starter salad ginger dressing and service are always good-very good. It's always either Spanish or Italian, so for example, you can order chicken parmigiana or variations of paella. This time I ordered Chicken Villaroy, which "is a classic French-origin dish featuring cooked chicken breasts (or croquettes) coated in a thick, cheese-infused béchamel sauce (Sauce Villeroy)." However, this one was served looking like two squared, lumpy, sautéed potato knishes, but tasted better than it looked. The inside was a very thick, well cooked chicken breast covered by a thin, light béchamel sauce and what seemed like plain, sautéed flour covering. The sauce made it slightly juicy, but not nearly juicy enough, and there was no thick, cheese infusion. My suggestion (for what it's worth ... and no offense intended to the Villaroys), is much more wet, cheesy infusion, along with perhaps a thick, panko crust covering thinner slices of chicken breast. They offered Sangria and Pinot Noir (tonight's table favorites), but not Chianti (my first choice) and you can skip most of their desserts. I was only able to finish one of the Chicken Villaroy croquettes and took the other one home for another day. The entrées came with rice or a wide variety of cooked vegetable sides, so mine was (excellent) spinach with oil and garlic, which I shared with my wife.

For entrées, we tried the shrimp in hot garlic sauce, seafood in green sauce, lasagna, and the chicken in pepper sauce. Everyone enjoyed their dish, and we loved that all entrées come with a salad plus a choice of rice, pasta, fries, or green beans. The sangria is also worth mentioning--really good and definitely strong! Overall, solid food, good service, and a lively atmosphere. Would definitely come back.
