Garlic Naan

Once again, I have the tandoori chicken and it is absolutely amazing. The non-is amazing, the rice is amazing, everything is wonderful.

Food is economical and service is fast. It's opened late night which is a big plus. If you happen to get their lady finger ( Bhindi ), do try out, loved it.

Open late!!!! I love places open past 10pm because I get off work late and sometimes don't eat dinner till after. At 11pm this place was still poppin!!!! Great customer service and food came out fresh and fast! The naan was good and I want to try those desserts from the fridge soon.

Tandoori Roti

The food was below average. Tandoori Roti - was Cooked on one side and the other side was not cooked. Who gives an uncooked food? The bhature was ok but it felt like the oil used to fry in it was not fresh and tasted a bit weird. Chicken tandoori was good it seems. I tasted a bit was ok. The samosa chaat was too sweet and had lot of yogurt in it. I am a yogurt lover but still could handle it. The samosa used in it was a frozen one. Overall a disappointing experience with the food.

This is one of those places I wish I could add a half star. I love Indian food and have been meaning to try CB when in Bellevue. Today was the day for some takeout, which seemed to be 100% of their business this particular Saturday evening, despite having a modest amount of indoor/outdoor seats. I ordered a selection of items including one of my favorites, Samosa Chaat. We also had Butter Naan, Tandoori Shrimp, Jalfrezi Vegetables and some basmati rice. The food had to travel about 25 minutes, which I take into account, but the packaging was definitely problematic for my beloved Samosa Chaat. Everything was packed in the same container, mixed together, which means samosa, Chana masala, raita and chutney. Not a good ride for the samosa, which where soggy. The flavors were good, but I would have preferred to have the components a little more defined. Spouse threw his half of samosa out. I am going to try to salvage the other one tomorrow out of the soupy Chana. Similarly, the Jalfrezi was a bit limp and salty. The shrimp were cooked well and generously portioned. Basmati rice and naan both good, but it didn't appear to be Butter Naan. Spouse whipped out our jar of ghee and set things right. The staff was hospitable and offered me a beverage while I waited. I would give Cafe Bollywood another chance if I could eat in or make sure my food was packed to travel.

Murgh Malai Kabab

We ordered takeout from Cafe Bollywood recently, on a Saturday night ordering after 11pm, we had to wait for 40 mins to get our food (we were told that while ordering). We got Tandoori Murgh, Murgh Malai Kabab, Lamb Rogan Josh, and Tandoori Roti. We liked the Tandoori Murgh, Lamb Rogan Josh was okay. Tandoori Roti was the best item we got, very well made. The reason I am giving them 3 stars is the Murgh Malai Kabab, the kabab pieces were big and had no taste, hadn't taken on any flavor from the marinade. I wish the pieces were smaller and more flavorful.

The food was amazing and the hospitality was more amazing. This place is one of my favorite places to go to hands-down will always go here before anywhere The guy working the counter was very nice and made sure we were good

Staff talk to their customer and exchange stories, I love being there as it is a little piece of India stoved away inside Bellevue

What a beautiful restaurant! The interior looks so pretty and fancy. It was baffling that there was…read moreno one there when my friend and I went there on a Saturday. We were hungry so we ordered quite a bit: Pani Puri shots, Mumbai crossroads, Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Garlic Naan. I'm pretty basic so I ordered the Tikka Masala and I loved it! We loved every dish and I liked that the portions were generous enough. We were the only ones there when we got seated so we got our food pretty quickly. I'd love to go back and try their other dishes!

We sat for about 10 minutes and had Cliff pour us water and walked away. He then stood in the corner where we were seated and ate what looked like a mango. We waited till he was done and waved him down to take our drink orders. We got our drinks and then he disappeared. We observed other servers taking care of their tables and being present but our server was not to be found. Cliff then appeared back with what looked like tea and stood and drank his tea. We again waited and this experience felt like a prank where there is a hidden camera, waiting for our next move. We were really ready to get up and leave. Slowest service ever. Finally cliff came and we ordered food. Food came out with 15min of ordering. Cod took a little longer. Cod and lamb chops were the best meal of the day. Cod was cooked in such a good gravy and very tasty and so was the lamb. We ordered a variety of naan which was a little chewy. Dessert was the sticky pudding which was very nice. Overall this place is pricey and tip is included so you can't except great service. I would go back here for drinks. But our experience today was awful. Maybe a more engaged server would have changed our experience for the better.

We finally stopped in, and I'm sad that we didn't do so sooner. Started off strong with an item from their mocktail menu: peach passion iced tea. Despite the name, there's no passion fruit in it. Just peach. But it is the best peach iced tea I've ever had. It's so good, I ordered two. They bring it to you on a fun little tray of dry ice. For appetizers we got the classic samosas and galouti kabob. Both very good! The chutneys that they come with were also great compliments to the dishes. Our entrees we tried their chicken tikka masala, which comes with jasmine rice. Was very flavorful, and we really enjoyed it and the presentation. I tried a new dish I've never had, the biryani, after suggestion from our waiter. I was torn between this dish and the tropical coconut curry. I'm so glad I chose this! Spicy, 3/5 stars, but so flavorful. The raita that came with the dish was insane. It was so incredibly flavorful, and I made sure to get a little dish to go with my leftovers. We showed up at 5:30, and were the only people in the spot as they had just opened. However they quickly began filling up, and by the time we left the place was packed. If you want to come after 6 pm, definitely recommend a reservation so you don't have to wait!

We started with the momos and they were delicious and tender. We also had a chicken appetizer and is was very flavorful. The star of the appetizers was the "Wonder Box" which is a fun trio of ingredients you assemble. From there I had the cashew saffron curry with rice and Nan and I ate it all! Our server was very attentive and the ambiance made the meal feel special. The only downside side was that we had 5 people at a 4 topper table and it was crowded.

I'd say overall, the menu was a little pricey, but they've got some pretty unique offerings. Parking is pretty easy as it's a shared lot with crossroads. Malaiyo is effectively just textbook light, whipped cream with a ton of saffron. They definitely don't skimp on the saffron, so if you enjoy that floral, slightly herbal flavor, this will be the dessert for you. Jalebi Rabri came out piping hot and it's got a crunch that once you bite through, the sugar syrup just gushes out. It's definitely tasty, but it was SO sweet. I'd probably put in an order and share this with a group as more than one in a sitting might be a bit tough. Banarasi Lassi was just a little tart, creamy, and had a little bit of saffron swirled through. It had just a touch of the floral saffron flavor and the sliced almonds on top were a nice touch. It's definitely on the thicker side, so more of a spoon situation than a drink.

We ordered banarasi chutney paneer tikka and the smokey soya chaamp. Soya was def the star dish of the night.. super flavorful, smoky, and genuinely the only thing I'd come back for. As for mains,my friends and I shared gorakhpuri kofta which was tasty and shadi wala matar paneer which was average. I didn't like tamatar ki chaat. The food was decent and chaas was really good but nothing was so good that I'd be thinking about it the next day. If you go, get the smokey soya chaamp and keep expectations chill for everything else.

Everything was absolutely flavorful and satisfying. The Shahi Mango Lassi was just okay for us, but the rest of the items were outstanding. What truly impressed me was that after we finished our meal, they served us a finger bowl. That's something very common in India but not so common here, and I absolutely loved that thoughtful touch. We made reservations for 6pm on a Saturday night but the restaurant was actually pretty empty when we got there. The ambiance was nice, the food was good and the service was very attentive. We tried the palak patta chaat, garlic naan, Butter Chicken, Fish Molly and a side of rice. Everything was really good! We appreciated the friendly service too but halfway through our meal we started to feel rushed to leave even though we had only been there for maybe an hour at that point? Otherwise, we enjoyed our meal and would recommend if you're looking for a good Indian restaurant.
