We checked in at our hotel, scanned the neighborhood, and selected Bhojan Xpress for lunch and now we are guaranteed nothing will go wrong because this somewhat random choice led to one of the best lunches ever! First, be sure to ask about samosas because they might not be listed on the menu. We asked, they had them, and they were delicious!! Next, you can order your entree with rice or bread. We tried one of each, which worked great for sharing. This is vegetarian restaurant and the food is full of flavor. We tried 2 paneers and a korma and they were all amazing. Lassi is available in at least 6 flavors, I tried the peach and highly recommend adding this to your order. YUM YUM YUM! read more

I came here with my brother for lunch on a Saturday, and it was not super busy which was nice. We each ordered entrees, a mango lassi, and a dosa to share. Pricing was a bit high (I think we spent about $70 incl tip), but the taste is worth it and the location probably affected price too. Entree: The curries they had were pretty good. Portion size for this was a bit on the smaller side, but i really like having the option of 2 different curries instead of just 1. Cheese dosa: this dosa was amazing. The dosa was massive, and it had a ton of melted cheese inside. The dipping sauces they served with it were fantastic. Definitely recommend sharing one of these when you go or just getting it as an entree for yourself. Mango lassi: no joke, this place has the best mango lassi I've ever had. It was perfectly smooth and sweet, and they give you a lot for the price. At a lot of other places, it sucks because they don't give you much, but Bhojan Express gave us each a big cup of lassi that was the perfect complement to our meal. Overall, I definitely think that Bhojan Express is worth checking out if you're in the area. read more

This is a Togo order. Bhojan express was named for its quality. It's so bad I called the restaurant and advised them not to provide this kind of food for customers. My request to people to check your Togo orders before you leave. The roti was uncooked. There is no taste, no thickness, runny curry on both paneer butter masala and saag paneer. They have all kinds of fritters, bread, dosas, curries and even some Indo-Chinese food which I have yet to try. Ordering through DoorDash usually is a breeze here. Phone orders tend to take forever longer than quoted time. Even DoorDash too since they get so busy here. Food I like so far! Aloo tikis - spicy potato cakes/ patties! Come with delicious sauces and a ton of chopped onions. Green Chillis grounded inside potatoes. It's hot! Malabar paratha/ layers! Saag paneer: tasty Sambar: it comes with combo bread option. I like the tangy taste . Chickpea vada: crispy fried and super crunchy and filling. Comes with coconut green sauce. I've tried their curries and bread. But the appetizers/ snacks are a winner. Bhojan Xpress is located in a very busy strip mall in downtown Bellevue, so be prepared to fight for a parking spot with the Facing East, Boiling Point, and other tenant customers! Lucky for me, it was a short walk from my office, and I checked out this spot at lunch. You order at the counter, and the staff will prepare your meal from the pre-cooked curry dishes on display. The food goes in a high quality microwaveable plastic tupperwear container and the signage around the spot indicates it's popular for takeout and delivery. There are only a few small tables inside and two tables outside, so I would not recommend going in a large group. I felt like the inside felt too stuffy, so I sat outside by the parking lot. The food itself was good. They don't ask for level of spice, but I found the saag paneer to have a bit of a bite to it and the butter chicken to be extremely mild. With most curry dishes, I expect more sauce than meat, but there were only a few small pieces of chicken in my scoop, so that was disappointing. The saag paneer was okay but pretty liquidy. I enjoyed the garlic naan on the side with these dishes. Good lunch spot for quick Indian food, and they have a 10% discount for Yelp check-ins. read more

I ordered delivery from here and am so glad I tried it! I ordered the butter chicken combo, which came with basmati rice and naan. The portion didn't look very large at first but it was huge and made for a few meals! The naan was fresh and warm when I received it and a HUGE portion. Wait time is definitely less than other competitors in the area They have all our usual favorites, chicken 65, biryani, dosa, garlic naan! I think their best items was the chilli paneer and the rice of the biryani. Chicken pieces in biryani were a bit dry for my taste but the raita helped. I was expecting Kanishka Express when I went here to get takeout but saw the sign for Bhojan Xpress once I arrived. I was really bummed to find out that it was now Bhojan Xpress, learning that Kanishka Express is no longer. But once I got closer to the shop, I saw little change from when it was Kanishka Express, so decided to step in and check it out. I mean, everything seriously looks the same from before. Everything. When I asked the employee what had happened to Kanisha Express, he told me that the family sold their business, but Bhojan Xpress kept the same menu and recipes! YES! I ordered the two non-vegetarian combination for $11.99, with the Lamb Vindaloo and Butter Chicken. When the employee started to ask me about spice level, I asked him if he was just gonna give me the food from the counter, so didn't know why he was customizing my order. But he said that he could make it fresh since the food was sitting out all day. AWESOME! And just like when I had the two non-veggie combo when it was Kanishka Express, it also came with my choice of bread and dal. But this time, I was able to get it with brown rice instead of the standard basmati. Bhojan Xpress, I'm glad you kept the same food while also making improvements to what was already awesome! I foresee many, many visits for takeout here. If you love Indian food and just wanna get takeout, come to Bhojan Xpress! They have your classic Indian dishes like Butter Chicken and Tandoori, but have rotating specials, like the Lamb Vindaloo. This is our first time here and we ordered Chicken Biryani! Oh man! It's by far, in a long time, best Biryani we ever had! Some amazing things about this Biryani- chicken is boneless(we prefer that), mildly spiced, not overpowered by khada garam masala( whole garam masala) and the best part- very flavorful! Was putting up wallpaper in a studio, for anybody that had put up wallpaper, it's a pain in the ass. In the meantime of following instructions to let the wall paper lay flat on the floor before installing, we went on a food hunt for places to eat nearby. Saw photos of Indian food in bento boxes looking trays so decided this was the spot. Right now, they do not offer any meat options because of covid, it was fine since I like vegetarian food anyways. Incredibly tasty Indian food! I thoroughly enjoyed every bite and waft of food. Nothing was over cooked, overpowering or lacking taste. I recommend the rice combo which comes with two sides and a bread. For my two sides I got the paneer tikka and chick peas. The folks that own/ manage thus place are really nice! While we waited for our order we were given some rasam (soup) to drink. We got the biryani but unfortunately it wasn't good. However in their defense biryani is not something that most restaurants can easily get right. Wish I had ordered one of the other things on the menu. I'm super disappointed. I got the pav bhaji. Never in my life have I had pav bhaji that is sweet and has paneer in it. Just a disgrace to the classic pav bhaji- the simple melody of veggies. The best Indo Chinese noodles I have had in Washington!! They have very good vegetarian options. We have ordered the Indo Chinese combo with Hakka noodles and chili mushroom which is the best we have had in Washington. We also ordered the rice combo with paneer tikka masala and bhindi masala. The paneer was good but bhindi masala was excellent and perfectly spiced. Their dal tadka is good too. Bhojan Xpress was the catering partner for a concert in the local area. They had a limited menu but it looked delicious and I was famished. They had chai, mango lassi, samosas plus veg and non-veg biryani. We tried their samosas served with the 2 chutneys.4/5 rating. While it was not super crispy from the outside, the filling was pretty good. The chutneys were excellent. The overall rating was however impacted due to their chicken biryani. This is a joke, flavorless not even sure if its made with basmati rice. The chicken pieces looked sad. Funny enough, the 'salaan' which is a spicy peanut sauce to be eaten with the biryani tasted much better than the biryani which is sad.
