The food maybe palatable some. I found the biryani to be so oily. And all bones. But why I am writing this review with rather scathing comments is about their sweets. They claim that they make it inhouse. A whole lot of BS. Dont fall for this trick. Thats an even bigger off-putting than tasting month old stale sweets, one bite and tells me more about the integrity than anything. Good luck making money like this. Good food. Vegetarians will love it. Lot of varieties - bhel puri, dahi puri, gone manchurian and paneer malai for starters. Two chicken starters as well. For main course - dal, veg jafrezi, paneer masala, naan and pulao, Singapore style noodles. For non-veg, there are only chicken varieties - chicken biryani, chicken curry. No mutton or fish. Spacious to walk around, but buffet area has only 7 tables, you can sit in the seating space outside the buffet area, but you have to go back and forth. They have paper plates and plastic spoons - might have to think about eating hot soup with a plastic spoon; also fill your own water. Overall good food and good decor. The sweets are delicious here! The mini cake flight was definitely pricey but it was worth it for the flavor variety and tasty experience. I love gulab jamun so this tickled my fancy exactly. I got the street style egg noodles - it smelled weird and was too sticky plus absolutely no flavor at all. Gobi Manchurian wasn't crispy at all as if reheated and served. But their Chilli Chicken was super spicy and I had to throw out the leftovers. The paneer in Shahi Paneer was not fresh. Their medium saag paneer burnt my mouth and not flavorful. We viewed the menu at the entrance listing today's 30 items, paid at the counter (adding a 15% tip, the lowest standard option) and proceeded into the next room where the buffet was set up. We paid $79 for 2 adults and 1 child (age 3-10) including the 15% tip. The food was extremely good and we were happy with the presentation and options. However, there was no service. The restaurant does not have servers. No one came around offering water/tea. You pick up a paper plate or bowl and throw it away after your meal. $79 for 3 people with 0 service is way too much for lunch. Rasoi has a lot of potential. Their food is amazing- probably the best Indian food I have had in Bellevue. The prices are far too high, there is 0 service (silly to have standard tipping starting at 15%) and the paper plate/plastic cutlery approach is plain weird. When we walked into the empty restaurant we were at first surprised. After our experience, not so much. If Rasoi fixes these issues we would live to come back. read more

Bit surprised I don't have a review yet for Vrindavan . I have visited, ordered, take out everything from Vrindavan. For me it's the safest Indian place to try any food. They hardly get it wrong. The desert and Chatpata here are just splendid. The only place I know in greater Seattle area with Champaran Mutton on their menu.They even do catering and the catering food is also good - like I said, I have tried everything in Vrindavan. The only thing that they messed up was with a door dash order of Chicken Tikka. Chicken pieces were good but gravy was too much oily. I got cough the very next day . But I am willing to overlook that. "Ek Galti Maaf". For the atmosphere it's not the most appealing dining wise but they make up for it by awesome food they serve. Quick visit to Bellevue. It's our last night, and Indian food it is. This place was was unexpectedly good. Order at the counter and a very short wait later, we had our food served at the table. Paper plates and plastic ware, so don't expect fancy service. The lady who took order was very helpful and patiently explained some of the subtleties of the menu. We had the tandoori chicken tikka (boneless), garlic goat curry (medium spicy), and a vegetable dish. All were great but my favorite was the goat curry. Nan and roti were good. Indian food served in a casual setting. This place got renamed from Vrindaavan to Rasoi recently. Their signature Vada Pav is amazing and a must have. The entrees are good as well and reminded me of dhaba (roadside restaurant) food from India. Their garlic naan is closer to a pita than a traditional buttery naan but was light and tasty nevertheless. You place your order at the counter and then they bring the food to your table. Food choices were limited for Sunday buffet. We are paying full price for meal but not all items were stacked up. The vegetarian soup was empty most of the time during buffet. Other than potatoes no other vegetable. Paneer is not an vegetable. No white rice. Very disappointing lunch. read more

A pretty decent place for the most part. I like their sweets and drinks. We've also tried their buffet - we visited where they did a special one just for Holi where they had things like special multicolored puri. They had a good selection of food generally. Their meat dishes were good, but the veg selections were a bit limited with multiple variations of paneer. I like paneer a lot, but it would be nice to have other things also. And considering they have a bakery business, I found their breads to be underwhelming (I liked the ones in the nearby Amulya a little better). They use paper plates and plastic silverware which is...unusual. And they default a 15% tip (unless you take the effort to change it) despite giving zero service (not even to clear off your plates). But I would definitely return to see what their normal buffet looks like. I recently discovered this place. I have come here three times already in a span of 7 days. I enjoy the Indian street-style Indo-Chinese food here. Their schezwan-style fried rice of chow mein is a must. They are spicy and I like it that way. I have also tried their potato chilli, vada pav, and paneer kulcha and recommend trying potato chilli. I am always on the lookout for new Indian restaurants opening up and trying their menu. Was looking forward to come here and trying their food. The restaurant is in a shopping complex with ample of parking space. Good sitting area as well. It was only us when we came, but the place started filling up even on a weekday. Our hopes were high. We ordered their:- Vada pav:- Ahhh! If theirs any Indian restaurant that's perfected this dish, its "Honest restaurant". Samosa:- They tasted good. Veg Thali:- You get a curry of your choice, I had Paneer butter masala. Dal makhani- It was yummy Paneer butter masala- Do not order this one. Sweet curry with hard stale paneer pieces. Naan- Nah, have had better. I do not like thick doughy naans. Paan cake Slice:- ok ok Rasmalai Cake Slice:- OOOhhh this was the show stopper. It is on the sweeter side, but that creamy frosting with chunks of rasmalai, just nailed it. Overall, will be back for the pastries not the food. This review is strictly only for their vada pav. It was freaking $10 for tiny vadas. And they did not seem legit tasting. The restaurant was empty around 4pm on Saturday. They did have 1-2 takeout orders during the time we were there. Service seemed a bit slow for just a vada pav. Ambiance was pretty similar to any chaat like Indian restaurant. Seemed clean and well taken care of. Parking is ample; at least was at that time. I would love to comeback and try some other dishes for sure. But it's a big no go for vada pav. I had a mixed experience eating here. Ambience was a bit divided, with decorations that doesn't really match the vibe of the restaurant. It's in an accessible location that has shopping nearby. The food tasted good, I had the butter chicken and it was plenty flavorful. The food came out in a paper bowl, which I'm a bit surprised about this given that has both grab and go vibes and decorations as a sit down place. The portion size was on the smaller side given the price. I did not eat at the buffet but that looked like it is the more popular option. Service was good, I got my food pretty promptly. Here is my ranking of the items: Cake Shooters: Paan, Rasmalai (5/5) , Mango, Chocolate (4/5), Rose (3/5) Chicken Chowmein : 5/5 (reminded me of Indian dhaba place chinese food!) Chicken Manchurian : 2/5 (this was more line honey chicken and way more sweet than spicy. Would have liked more garlicy flavor. Also this dish is on the drier side and would have been better with more sauciness to it) Chicken Bhuna: 5/5 (Ordered spice level 3 but was still on the spicier side which is good but if ordering for kids, I would go with a 1. Also the rice that comes with it is like 1/4th quantity of what is provided as a standard. Chicken is not boneless.) Overall, a good restaurant for North Indian dishes but I really want to see a wider Indo-Chinese menu. read more
