Highly recommend. Amazing food. First time trying Indian food and I loved it the service is amazing, polite, and very helpful with what food to try. The portions are very generous and the food came out fast. Will definitely be becoming back for the Aloo Paratha.

Chaat house has never disappointed me. It's my favorite place to get North Indian food or do takeouts from. They have a great variety of kulchas, parathas, and thalis. I've tried many of them and have always loved it. The food is always fresh and hot. I've literally tried everything on their menu. Their Masala Pav, Vada Pav, Ragda Pattis and kulchas are a must try. The ambience isn't anything fancy and there's no service. You've to pick your food once it's ready. But, absolutely great food!

Best Parathas & Authentic Delhi-Style Hakka Noodles Chaat House is hands down my go-to spot for parathas and Indo-Chinese hakka noodles--I honestly don't think there's a better place for hakka noodles in the entire US. The parathas here are incredible. The portions are huge, stuffed generously, and taste exactly like the North Indian style parathas you'd get at a Paratha House in Delhi. The homemade makhan (butter) is on point, rich and fresh, and even the achar (pickle) is made in-house--not store-bought. That level of care and authenticity really shows in the quality of their food. And then the Delhi-style hakka noodles--unbeatable. I've had them here more than 5 times over the last 2 years, and every single time, they nail the flavor exactly the way my taste buds expect. No other place in the US has come close. The noodles did arrive a little late because of the rush hour, but the wait was worth it. I devoured them so fast that I didn't even get a chance to take a photo--that's how good they were. If you're craving authentic North Indian parathas or proper Delhi-style hakka noodles, Chaat House is the real deal

Dahi Poori Pav Bhaji Ragda Patties After exploring a lot of options here these are my favorite and go to here ! The Pav Bhaji is probably one of the best in the area. And so are the ragda patties The service is usually pretty quick but it could get busy specifically on the weekends. Casual ambiance with great variety of chat options I haven't liked the Thalis here a lot, but these chaat options are pretty great !

It's a place in a big shopping area, which has a lot of restaurants, grocery stores, etc. So parking is not a problem. Decor is very low key and cleanliness needs lot of work. Well crowded when we went. They have kiosks and QR code for ordering food. We had ordered Raj Kachori, Bhel puri, for appetizers. Both were good and a lot of quantity. More on sweeter notes, though. The main course we had ordered Anapurna thali came with salad, dal, aloo mattar, malai paneer sides with plain rice, roti, yogurt, and dessert. Rice was a little dry, but the rest were ok. Paneer parantha was huge it came with onion, pickle, and yogurt. We had to use more picle to compensate as it has lirrle less seasoning. Pickle given was way less, which is understandable. When asked for more, they gave one, and when asked for more, they want to charge me a dollar!. This pickle they were serving were store bought, and they cost a few bucks for a huge pack. They are so generous with their portions, but they want to hold out on condiments, so shameful. Chole batura, there were 2 huge baturas. The biggest i have seen in any restaurant is well made and taste good. But the chole was not proportionate with the batura. In short, cheap good food, cleanliness needs a lot of effort, and being unpolite to give condiments needed is a big .

Very great food was amazing. I tried here rajkachori chaat and chole bhature and it was too good. Service was too good and the ambiance was ok.

We went in here not expecting much. But this place served some really nice Indian street food. We ordered chole bhature, sev puri, pav bhaji, and a thali. And everything tasted great. The sev puri and pav bhaji were the best. The service was quick and the place looked like a legit Indian restaurant inside (iykyk). We had a lovely meal full of flavor at Chaat House.

I frequently visit this place for their Chilli garlic noodles but today we found this mini rock or pebble in out chilli garlic noodles and annoying my 5 year old found it in her mouth. This is crazy and not expected from a very loved restaurant like Chaat house. Guys please maintain some dignity. Your food is also eaten by kids.

Quick and inexpensive place to go to if you are craving for some Indian food. The ambiance is like a casual fast food joint. The staff is nice and responsive. The place can get crowded on Friday evening afterwards and over the weekends. The reason I took off two stars is because while some items here taste great, the rest some aren't that great. My ratings for the dishes I have tried so far. Samosa - 10/10 Chaat - 4/10 Anapurna thali - 5/10 Parathas - 8/10 Aloo poori - 7/10 Gobi machurian - 6/10 There is a lot of free parking available in the complex. Will update my review after I try out more dishes.

One liner: expect $10-15 per person for a quick snack. Decent at everything. The food at Chaat house is fine. I say fine because it's not that great by Indian street food standards. Having said that, if you are craving Chaat food, you have few options on the Eastside. On three different occasions, I had to wait more than 15 mins for my order. I don't think they go in a first in first out order. Mostly self service and folks on the other side of the counter are not very welcoming at times. The restaurant is mostly clean except when it gets crowded and I find the washrooms aren't as hygienic. Overall ambience is not something to yearn for. I almost prefer take-out from this restaurant. Depending on what I am ordering.

I must say the food has gotten even better! We came here after a trip to India and were super happy it felt like we were having chaat in India. We've had the kulchas, paranthas, and this time had the dahi puri (SPDP, my husband taught me) and the Ragda Patties. Both were fresh and flavorful, fulfilling our cravings. There was a little wait but over all the service was good. Overall, I'd come back for more. Happy eating!

Update: My husband (who is Indian) ordered a raj kachori, and it was sour as well. He said that the dahi (yogurt) went bad, and they should have stopped serving yogurt for the day. Not only that, but they're not sending out orders consecutively. Several people who ordered after us got their food before us. Don't think we'll come back here any time soon. Original review: Got a mango lassi. Normally Mano Lassi is sweet. This one was very sour! When we asked the guy at the counter, he didn't seem to care and said it's supposed to be sour. Let me tell you that I usually order mango Lassi at Indian/Nepali restaurants and I know what they should taste like - and this isn't it. Very disappointed. :/

Where is there butter from - it is so yummy?

I think they make it in house

I want to try this place but I just saw someone post a huge roach in the daal? Now I'm scared what if they are infested? Has anyone seen roaches here?

Don't. Be cautious when you eat from here, there can be a roach in your food. A few weeks ago, back in March 2023 my brother and I were eating the Falooda dessert. My brother abruptly stopped eating when he noticed a dead roach inside the dessert.… Read more

I want to try this place, but can't seem to understand the menu since I'm not an Indian food expert and there's no descriptions to each item. What are some common things people order or should order? Lol.

Anything which says "samosa" would be good start, and i would recommend that. Here is a glossary for you, did a quick search- http://www.indianfoodsco.com/Classes/Glossary.htm

I ordered paneer butter masala and grabbed a mango lassi from the fridge. I returned about 5 min later and it was ready for me! They do not ask for spice preference, and the things I have ordered all have mild heat (equivalent to 1-2 stars). This works great for me. The meals all come with rice, which is great. The food is definitely better for takeout, as the curry and rice were in different containers and it was a little awkward to try to eat it there. That said, it held up great and was a perfect meal on the couch! The ambiance in the food court is so so. Really depends on the time of day. Lots of crying babies there when we went, so we took it to go.

This was a Friday, so I was told the lunch specials were no longer valid. There attendant explained that it's only valid Monday-Thursday. I find that kind of lame, like it's the middle of the day on Friday c'mon. I got the Butter Chicken meal which was ok. The chicken was a bit dry, but the sauce was nice and creamy. About 2 servings. The meal also comes with Naan, it was 3 nice sized pieces. They were hot and tasted fresh. The presentation was nice as my expectations for food court food a slightly lower. Getting it "for here" over "to go" probably helped with that. I'd consider going again but definitely would try for a lunch special to save a few bucks.

I'd say overall, the menu was a little pricey, but they've got some pretty unique offerings. Parking is pretty easy as it's a shared lot with crossroads. Malaiyo is effectively just textbook light, whipped cream with a ton of saffron. They definitely don't skimp on the saffron, so if you enjoy that floral, slightly herbal flavor, this will be the dessert for you. Jalebi Rabri came out piping hot and it's got a crunch that once you bite through, the sugar syrup just gushes out. It's definitely tasty, but it was SO sweet. I'd probably put in an order and share this with a group as more than one in a sitting might be a bit tough. Banarasi Lassi was just a little tart, creamy, and had a little bit of saffron swirled through. It had just a touch of the floral saffron flavor and the sliced almonds on top were a nice touch.
