Kathal champaran
Mrunali G.

We visited this restaurant for Valentine's Day dinner with my husband and our 2.5-year-old. We were seated at a large corner table in the very back (likely meant for bigger parties). At first I felt disappointed because there was live music for the Valentine's special and we couldn't see it from our table. However, I later realized it actually worked out well. We could still hear the music while avoiding the crowd and noise near the stage, and we were able to comfortably have conversations. The food was delicious overall and really stood out. We started with Pyaar Ka Tofa (strawberry appetizer), which I was skeptical about, but it turned out to be surprisingly good and unique. The Valentine's special stuffed paneer appetizer was excellent -- they should absolutely add it to their regular menu. For drinks, we tried the Mango Aamsutra and Spicy Chilli Guava. The mango was okay but a bit too sweet for my taste. The guava drink, however, was amazing with a strong chili kick -- highly recommend. For entrées, we ordered Lasooni Palak Burrata, Kathal Champaran, rumali roti, and naan. Everything was fantastic. The Champaran may not taste exactly like traditional Champaran style, but it was still very flavorful and enjoyable. The Lasooni Palak Burrata was out of this world -- a must-order. The rumali roti was soft and fresh. Unfortunately, dessert was the low point of the evening. The Valentine's special chocolate cake was the worst chocolate cake we've had -- extremely hard and difficult to even cut with a spoon. We informed our server, who offered to take it back, but we were already full and declined. Overall, the food and ambience were wonderful and made for a lovely evening. One area for improvement: when we received the check, the server stood very close and watched while we selected the tip, which felt awkward and uncomfortable. I hope they can improve this part of the experience so guests can complete payment more privately. Despite that, we had a great time and would return for the food and atmosphere.

While the food taste was good, the service was painfully slow. The ambience was nice and because it's at RTC parking was easy at night when I went. Drinks were painfully slow to come out and were the wrong recipe for what was ordered. A pineapple in an espresso martini? A purple Old Fashioned in a martini glass? Drinks were super sweet as well. The staff seemed a bit confused and overwhelmed serving our large table, and territorial (only this guy can take drink orders, and only this person for food orders). Some food orders were delivered to the wrong spot without a matching owner and some orders were simply forgotten. The staff was nice and probably address these issues with experience and feedback, so I hope they do. Perhaps the staff should eat at Clove or Farzi to get a better example of where they need to be.

Dark, upbeat music. Dishes are beautifully presented. Service is great - quick, friendly. I felt like we had five waiters! Now for the food: the naan was OK, it is thinner than I'm used to and tasted more like thin pizza crust than the naan I've had in the past - I think I'll try the rotti next time! I REALLY love the butter chicken. The chicken was cut up into more bite-size pieces, which really appealed to me. The flavors were delicious. We also had the land kebabs which were probably my favorite part of the meal, I highly recommend them!

Went here with a couple of friends for dinner and they had great Indian food. They have ample seating and the service was good too. The floors however was really slippery for some reason. Coming to the food, the Chandini Chowk Chuska was very fancy - a take on Dahi puri with their own twist. We all loved it. The chaas was thick, and tasted yumm. It was really fresh too. I'm not a huge fan of soya chaap in general but this was pretty good. The lasooni palak buratta was surprisingly my favorite. It was so well seasoned and tasted absolutely delicious with the garlic naan. And, we also tried the gulab jamun cheesecake and it was really delicious too. The best part of the meal were the finger bowls. I've never seen finger bowls anywhere else in the US!

My friend and I had an amazing dining experience here. We started off with thecha Chicken, vada pav and soya chaap for appetizers Thecha chicken had the perfect spicy kick and it was well seasoned. vada pav was ok.. for me and soya chaap was not bad but just didn't stand out for me. For the main course we ordered the Chengazi Murgh which was rich and flavorful. The portions were good. We also tried the mango lassi and mango shikanji which came with this fancy presentation. The overall ambiance really stood out. It was classy, upscale restaurant with decent pricing. The staff was friendly. Overall, a great experience with good food. I'll visit again!

Superb drinks, well curated menu, and ample service support so you're left feeling catered to like you went to a fancy 5-star restaurant. The owners of this place also manage Fusion India, so you can see some similarities in their presentation style and plating. We had the entire veggie menu - from entree to appetizers. We found the lotus root dish the absolute best!

It was an unplanned date night at Jashn, and it turned out to be such a delightful experience! The ambience is warm and inviting, and the staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable. The food was so delicious that we completely forgot to take pictures of the dishes we tried! We ordered the Lucknowi Katori Chaat, Aloo Kulcha served with chole, Lucknowi Butter Chicken, Roomali Roti, Tandoori Naan, Mango Shikanji, and Shahi Lassi. Everything was absolutely flavorful and satisfying. The Shahi Mango Lassi was just okay for us, but the rest of the items were outstanding. What truly impressed me was that after we finished our meal, they served us a finger bowl. That's something very common in India but not so common here, and I absolutely loved that thoughtful touch. The name truly reflects their celebration-worthy food and service. Highly recommend for a cozy and delicious dining experience!

We were here for my birthday dinner and it was quite full for a Tuesday evening! We quickly got seated and were provided the menu. The ambiance of the place is pretty grand and so is the food presentation! The items we ordered were decent in taste. The goat kebabs and the lucknowi chaat were tasty , the puchka is ok,Rumali roti is to the point and so is the kofta curry.Chicken biryani surprisingly is good though it's not exactly dum biryani style. Overall a decent place to visit for our special occasions.

Panner thecha
Mahak Jain J.

A upscale decor and food was decent but expensive . Service was quick thought . We got complimentary frim and ordered panner thecha which was dry so won't recommended to order that. Soya chaap was dried too so I had called server and then they prepared it again which was much better then first time served. My son and husband tried galuti kebab and it was very good also their mutton champaran was flavorful. For main course I also tried Lithi chokha and it was delicious . After Long time I had good litti chokha. With this we had almost 150$+ so yes it's expensive. For first time I saw in Indian restaurant giving bowl with hot water and lemon to wash hand.

This place has already been split between our Indian friends - some recommend it, while others just laugh. We enjoyed our first time there early Saturday evening around opening. Tons of good food, fairly priced, and we benefited from great recommendations. They do seem to be adapting quickly to various feedback elements in social media, etc. For example, a number of complaints we heard before making reservations were tied to the music being way too loud. That was absolutely not the case for us. We'll be back for sure and explore far more of the food and drink menu.

Celebrated husband's birthday here, everything was amazing! We tried Lucknow tokri chaat Masala Papad Vegetable Jhalfrazi Hyderabadi vegetable biryani Rumali roti Vegetable Jhalfrazi and rumali roti was delicious and tokri chaat was amazing! Biryani can get better. But overall amazing taste and ambiance. Service was good as well. Ample parking available.

I have been to Kanishka several times over the last few years, and I've been pretty disappointed by…read morethe repeated instances of poor service. The food is usually delicious, and the service is usually fine, but there always seems to be something that throws off our dining experience here. For example, we dined in last Sunday for dinner, and were promptly seated. We ordered the garlic naan to share, and our vegetarian friend ordered the Paneer Makhni. However, when the dish arrived, she took a bite and discovered that there were chicken pieces inside, and when we alerted the server, we didn't even receive an apology. They took away her plate, which had some rice and garlic naan, and gave her a new plate with a new order of the Paneer Makhni, and did not replace the rice and garlic naan that was lost due to their mistake. I feel that giving a vegetarian or vegan person a dish with meat is a huge mistake, and I was very disappointed by the lack of an apology and the lack of an effort to make things right. On the happy side, the garlic naan was tasty, and I personally ordered a chicken kabob dish that was covered in sauce, which was phenomenal. Another example is that for 3 or 4 visits, we interacted with the same server. He always greeted us with "ni hao" even though we are not Chinese. Even worse, on multiple occasions, after we paid for the food with credit card, he would make up some lie about how the card reader was broken for the tip portion, and he would ask for a cash tip that he pocketed. We've never had this issue with any other server, and I've even seen this guy tell other groups the same lie about the card reader not working for the tip portion, even though it worked fine for the main payment. In summary, although Kanishka seems to have some food quality control issues, the food is delicious, and the service can be a wide range from very poor to good.

Rawa Batata Tikki Chaat - A bit sweeter than I prefer, but still enjoyable. Next time, I'll ask for a spicier version. Chili Paneer - This one hit the mark. We ordered it at a 4/4 spice level, and it delivered both heat and flavour Veg Hakka Noodles - One of my favorites of the night. We chose a 3/4 spice level, and it paired really well with the chili paneer. The noodles were slightly dry, but the taste made up for it Mocktail - The only miss for us. It was a lemonade with blue syrup (I forgot the exact name), but it was overly sweet. Service - We arrived around 9 PM, and although the restaurant was about half empty, we were still asked to wait for seating. The servers also forgot to bring dinner plates, so we ended up using appetizer plates for our entrées. Overall - The food was enjoyable, and we'll definitely return for the flavors. The service, however, could benefit from more training, guidance, and attention.

The Amritsari Kulcha was also excellent, with great stuffing and good taste. However, the chole served alongside it was just okay and didn't quite match the quality of the bread.
