Fantastic food, fresh and homemade, fella at cash register very kind and welcoming. 4 outdoor picnic benches. Will definitely come again. Menu is all veg now but even though I eat meat, I didn't care; it was so good. Plus they gave us free kheer. read more

They add all purpose flour to their dosa batter. Can't make it gluten free. Disappointing. However, they were nice enough to call and let me know once I placed the order marked gluten free. read more

I wish there could be a 0 star rating. In full transparency, I have not tasted anything from this place, and I am extremely glad and feel fortunate that I did not. I ran into this place at about 8:45 PM on Sunday 8/9/20 and ordered a Chicken 65 appetizer and a Lamb Biriyani. I was told the biriyani was "dum cooked" for 4 hours, but I was given a wait time of 10 minutes, which I assumed was for the chicken. Nothing could have prepared me for what I saw. I was on a call for about 5 mins with a friend and and after that was trying to figure out what's going on with the order. They have a view of the kitchen from the lobby and I saw that my appetizer and biriyani were packed (I was the only one left). Then I saw some discussion inside and one of their staff picking things with her bare hands from the biriyani! The person in the cash then came over to the lobby and asked for a further 5 mins! I told him what I saw and denied the food from the restaurant, and his response instead of any kind of apology, was that it was for someone else! I had to get out from there as fast as I can. I denied the food and the refund. I am posting this in hope that at least a few of you would see this. AVOID, genuinely! Disheartening that during the COVID crisis when safety should be paramount, some restaurants are so careless with hygiene that can potentially be fatal to people's lives. read more

We ordered from Bhojan Express twice during the last couple weeks and both the times the biryani was completely stale. This is unacceptable! I understand covid times have made it hard to sustain the business but circulating food that may cause health issues is just WRONG. The first time I got stale biryani, I just gave them the benefit of doubt but again the same thing a second time! I feel bad for families with kids that might be ordering food. read more

We got the idli, vada and mango lassi. The food took sometime so it was fresh and the lassi was better than any other restaurant I've tried. Worth a visit. read more

This place is a DREAM COME TRUE!!!!! The one thing that is always difficult with your everyday Indian restaurant is that you want multiple things but your budget doesn't allow multiple entrees!! This place lets you get a combo with different options so you really feel like you got the whole experience and burst of flavors!! Not to mention they give you a large nann bread too and it ties the whole meal together. I get the combo with Saag Paneer and Chicken Tika Masala. My bf gets the Lamb Vindaloo and the Butter Chicken. We both love it!!! I find the quality to be way better than I assumed with a place like this. I was wowed with the flavors. SO SO glad I found this place!! Even tho it's about 30 min away, it's worth the drive. Highly suggest! read more

Super super welcoming and nice family-owned business . Food was AMAZING and huge portions for the price. Owner even gave us samples of this amazing carrot dessert (sorry I forgot the name!). If you want a quick, easy yet delicious meal, this place is a must!! read more

Great food, incredible prices and great service. The person behind the counter was very helpful when I was trying to figure out what to order. Highly recommend! read more

Samosas were really good. Gobi Manchurian was crispy and I would say a mandatory order. Really good. Palak paneer was decent. The tandoori roti was hard and passable. This was a big miss. read more

Their chicken Briyani is really good and their Karahi chicken is one of the best in greater Seattle-Bellevue area. We always do take out from here. It's a small hole in the wall. I've tried three of their biryanis--the chicken Briyani (still my favorite), chicken dum Briyani, and goat Briyani. I don't usually like Goat but this place does goat right. Still chicken Briyani is my favorite from here. I've also tried the Lamb fry--it's interesting but not something you can get every time. They have Halal meat which is great for me and anyone else looking for Halal options. read more

Before the pandemic hit, I used to come out here for lunch all the the time. Very decent Indian food, with generous portions, for a reasonable price. They were occasionally slow during the lunch rush, but the food hits the spot so I was always willing to wait. At the time, the guy who worked the front was really nice. Had a craving for some Indian food, today. Wanted to support a local small business given these uncertain times, so we headed over to Bhojan's to order some stuff to go. Their menu had changed since my last visit and the lady working the front seemed annoyed when I needed clarification about a couple items. I found her responses to be a little rude. They seem overwhelmed with app based orders and we ended up waiting a long time for our food (almost 30 mins). No one working, including the entire cook staff, was wearing a mask. As much as I want to support local businesses, I expect these businesses to do what they can to help protect the community right now. Although the food is still good, I'm not sure I'll be returning. The discourteous interaction, long wait time, and perceived apathy towards public health will likely deter me from another visit any time soon read more

Been there at least 7x as it's next to my place so easy walk over while walking my pups and food is great. The place is called express, so one would expect faster service which isn't the case most of the time. BUT! I would be willing to wait 15 mins every time I go as food is good and convenient. Tonight I came and this lady on the counter took 5x try to try to call her to order even though she knew I was there waiting... she was too busy chatting about her day off the next day. And once she took my order, you can tell her voice was irritated for having to take my order and said it'll be 10 mins... which was not a big deal except all she did for first 5 mins was run her mouth again about her day off. So I asked her to cancel my order... she attempted to rectify by saying 5 mins. I got my order cancelled and that would be the last time I will go to this place. read more

I ordered their Mysore masala dosa and bread combo. The Mysore masala dosa was pretty good, but their bread combo didn't live up to my expectations. Their garlic naan felt like it was a frozen garlic naan. The entree were decent, so no complaints on that. Overall I would go there again for dosas. read more

Okay, so we went back hoping the samosa chat would be better. It was tasty but hard to eat because it was swimming in tamarind and yogurt. Why so much? Do I need to ask for it to be less wet? Ah, but the masala dosa was superb! Crisp and very tasty! Now, if you could only perfect the samosa chat, we would be there every week! Come on lay off the sauce a little bit. read more

Take away Indian cuisine. Hit or miss. First time I got dinner from here it was fresh and tasty, good spices and consistency. Second time was the opposite: lukewarm, unbalanced spices, undercooked naan. Who knows what you'll get? read more

I am very impressed with this Indian restaurant. I have catered and ate at many Indian restaurants in Seattle and this one really stood out. We catered for an office event and I placed an order through grub hub. They have a variety of dishes available online. Some very traditional Indian dishes that were kinda foreign to me but also had the usual that we like. I ordered Veggie and a chicken biryani which was very tasty. Everything was cooked well and all the spices were mixed well. I had ordered a medium maybe should have gone with mild as it had a kick to it. Butter chicken was more on the gravy soupy side but was still tasty. The manchurian is delicious!!! It's my favorite and it was prepared so well I could have eaten the entire pan. The Chana and veggie curry was tasty and spicy as well. All the naans were fresh and tasty we had garlic, butter and plain. Wish they did catering pan sizes instead of individual take out containers. Overall good experience with this company. I highly recommend it for personal or business catering. read more

Very delicious! The spices were on point and the guy are always friendly. I finally remembered to check in on Yelp to get my 10% off. When I got home, I checked my email and saw the receipt, he didn't take off my 10% discount. Eh... it's only $3.50 but still..... Don't offered it and not give me the discount, very disappointed! read more

Their lamb vindaloo has an unusual sour-ish flavor (slightly tomatoey?) on top of spicy. I love it! Can be very busy during meal time.

Bhojan Express Rap: Made a big mistake by eating at Bhojan express Both the food and service are one hell of a mess A small 'express' shanty joint with no space The food that is served has absolutely no taste All paper and plastic to eat your desi croquette With prices that will leave a hole on your pocket Ordered a creamy malai kofta and garlic naan Both of them had no class, no 'shaan' Janta class food for those with no style Why eat here when you can go the extra mile ? Well, I just went to eat here after watching gully boy at Cinemark Lincoln square ; so was in a mood to rap. Why on earth should one eat this apology of food served in a paper plate , plastic spoons, and paper/plastic cup ? And pay 12.99 per dish ? Why ? I'd rather go to a proper restaurant like Kanishka, Aahaar or Pabla Indian cuisine and pay the same price per item ( or less) , have a proper meal with plates and cutlery and get full service. The malai kofta was liquidy and creamy warmed up and served in a closed container (felt like it was warmed up in a microwave - express style) Not healthy at all. The garlic naan was nothing to rave about - big obese flour bread with a few sprinkles of garlic. With one malai kofta and 2 garlic naans ordered a la carte, the cost was 21 usd - served in poor plastic cutlery. what a rip off!! The standard 2 entree meal is priced at $9.99 plus tax but the options looked quite tired and unappealing - choices were a timid and tired looking saag paneer, kadai paneer and daal makhni for vegetarians served with rice and bread. Please look elsewhere You certainly have better standards than eating this apology of a food in this shanty express joint. read more

The staff were very friendly and the savory treat we got was delicious! The sauces that came with it were awesome.

Wow. Super tasty food on a cold day makes me so happy. The 2 entrees combo was huge as compared to other places. I tried their eggplant bharta, channa masala and dal. My favorite was bharta with parata. Service is great too. Keep up the good work guys. read more

We ordered chettinad chicken curry, Mumbai shrimp curry and gobi manchurian. Honestly all three were disappointing. They were too spicy and oily. Even though we didn't order hot spice level, the food didn't seem to have anything other than red chili. Never getting anything from here again. read more

VERY poor reception/order/service. She took our order, asked 5 times for exact repeatitions (not wanting to hear/listen), asked how much portion of paneer tikka masala - I asked for largest! She then gave about 11 oz container (labeled 16 oz) paneer tikka masala full of gravy masala, with only a couple of paneer pieces. Flat out denied giving receipt and cash back of less than a dollar, while I was trying to teach my kids about money and how much you get back, calculate etc. read more

OH MY GAWD!!! Whoever's complaining about their biriyani needs to just make their own at home and stop endangering Mom & Pop shops like Bhojan Express! 1. I like that it has a wide selection of curry with different flavors, colors. 2. I am fan of Goat curry and it serves really good goat curry that goat meat is tender and juicy, falling off the bone. 3. Lamb is also very good, not that hard to chew as some other places. 4. Lassi is amazing! I ordered Lychee Lassi which is not very common, and it is like a refresh. Sweet and cool with a beautiful smell of lychee. 5. We got a special one on that day. It is like a soup made with lamb. That is the most impressive one which I wish to have one more time. read more

Ordered lunch here a few times. Really good food. As long as they don't raise prices, I would come here regularly. The chicken vindaloo is great, as is the garlic naan. The lunch combos are great.
