I had a lot of expectations from this place but the food did not quite live up to it. We ordered a bunch of dishes and nothing really stood out. It just seemed like another addition to Vegetarian Food scene in the area.

My first time stopping in while I was in the area visiting family; we ordered to go and the owner was so helpful and informative. Been ages since I had a dosa and it didn't disappoint! The selection and quality of the sambar, chutneys, palya/masala, and podi were great !

Took my parents to enjoy some south indian food. Food was excellent and authentic. Everyone enjoyed. Wait time was there eventhough we went early. Wish they add reservation system. Else no complaints.

Rava masala dosa with 3 chutneys and sambar

We came across the place as my kids wanted dosa for dinner. Absolutely amazing dosa, vada, uttapam, thali! There's multiple varieties of dosa & uttapam we could order from. Definitely give it a try if you like home like taste and prompt service. Do account for wait times if visiting on popular times.

South Indian thaali @shri Krishna Bhavan

Loved the thaali--so many varieties and that truly authentic South Indian taste! I've tried other vegetarian restaurants, but this one truly stands above the rest when it comes to authenticity.

South Indian tea and thali with puri

Great food, good atmosphere and great and fast customer service. Great combo of all vegetarian food starting from Daal, sambar, Rasam, beetroot, tomato curry, payasam, fried spinach, yogurt, papadam,, cucumbers and chana and so on. Would get it again. I liked that tea didn't come Witt sugar and there was sugar next to you if you want to add it. Mango lassi felt rich in yogurt flavor and mango.

My husband and I ordered the makki Di roti with sarson ka saag, and that was the clear standout. Hands down the best sarson ka saag I've ever had--absolutely delicious, spicy, creamy, and packed with flavor. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We also tried the gobi Manchurian. It was tasty, though the portion was smaller compared to what most other restaurants serve. Service was quick, and overall, I'd definitely go back--especially for the makki di roti and sarson ka saag. Truly one of a kind!

We sat for about 10 minutes and had Cliff pour us water and walked away. He then stood in the corner where we were seated and ate what looked like a mango. We observed other servers taking care of their tables and being present but our server was not to be found. Cliff then appeared back with what looked like tea and stood and drank his tea. We again waited and this experience felt like a prank where there is a hidden camera, waiting for our next move. We were really ready to get up and leave. Slowest service ever. Finally cliff came and we ordered food. Food came out with 15min of ordering. Cod took a little longer. Cod and lamb chops were the best meal of the day. Cod was cooked in such a good gravy and very tasty and so was the lamb. We ordered a variety of naan which was a little chewy. Dessert was the sticky pudding which was very nice. Overall this place is pricey and tip is included so you can't except great service. I would go back here for drinks. But our experience today was awful. Maybe a more engaged server would have changed our experience for the better.

We finally stopped in, and I'm sad that we didn't do so sooner. Started off strong with an item from their mocktail menu: peach passion iced tea. Despite the name, there's no passion fruit in it. Just peach. But it is the best peach iced tea I've ever had. It's so good, I ordered two. They bring it to you on a fun little tray of dry ice. For appetizers we got the classic samosas and galouti kabob. Both very good! The chutneys that they come with were also great compliments to the dishes. Our entrees we tried their chicken tikka masala, which comes with jasmine rice. Was very flavorful, and we really enjoyed it and the presentation. I tried a new dish I've never had, the biryani, after suggestion from our waiter. I was torn between this dish and the tropical coconut curry. I'm so glad I chose this! Spicy, 3/5 stars, but so flavorful. The raita that came with the dish was insane. It was so incredibly flavorful, and I made sure to get a little dish to go with my leftovers. We showed up at 5:30, and were the only people in the spot as they had just opened. However they quickly began filling up, and by the time we left the place was packed. If you want to come after 6 pm, definitely recommend a reservation so you don't have to wait!

It's nice to see that not only does it serve good Indian good, but its ambiance is great for group gatherings. My colleagues and I visited Chutney's for our birthday lunch and we had a fun time here. The menu offers a lot and unlike what Chutney's used to offer, they no longer have the weekday lunch buffet. Instead, they offer their all day menu which is plenty to choose from. For the three of us, we decided to partake in family style dining, which is what I recommend since you can try more of the items. We ordered the biryani, garlic naan, exotic curry and the tikka mushrooms. And I had the mango coconut mocktail for my drink. Everything we ordered was tasty. It seemed like every table had the biryani, which comes out in a dish that has a baked dough on top. The server cuts it open and there you see the fragrant rice with the spices and meat. I recommend trying! But be warned that this was actually a lot spicier than we expected. It was good, but something to be cautious about if you don't like spicy food. The exotic curry was also nice, especially to go with the biryani. We ended up choosing the lamb with it, and the lamb was very tender. Tikka mushrooms were also a nice addition, adding in some veggies, completing our meal. Our server was Hira and he was super friendly. He found out it was our birthday lunch and they actually play a birthday song on the speakers! That was fun. I'm glad we visited Chutney's 2.0, which is a solid place for Indian food in downtown Bellevue.

I'd say overall, the menu was a little pricey, but they've got some pretty unique offerings. Parking is pretty easy as it's a shared lot with crossroads. Malaiyo is effectively just textbook light, whipped cream with a ton of saffron. They definitely don't skimp on the saffron, so if you enjoy that floral, slightly herbal flavor, this will be the dessert for you. Jalebi Rabri came out piping hot and it's got a crunch that once you bite through, the sugar syrup just gushes out. It's definitely tasty, but it was SO sweet. I'd probably put in an order and share this with a group as more than one in a sitting might be a bit tough. Banarasi Lassi was just a little tart, creamy, and had a little bit of saffron swirled through. It had just a touch of the floral saffron flavor and the sliced almonds on top were a nice touch. It's definitely on the thicker side, so more of a spoon situation than a drink.
