Very open bright dining room and ordering is only by kiosk. Dosa is huge and that's all they do, so I found their sambal is big portion alone with 4-different sauces that comes on metal tray. Sweet, savory and spicy. I cleaned up the whole plate! When I crave dosa, I will be back. There is no meat here 100% vegan and vegetarian, customers order and they goto pickup at the counter, self svc water is on sides. I wish they had stunless steel utensils and metal cups for water too. read more

It's a decent spot for dosas and Indian appetizers. We used to visit here all the time, but lately the service and food quality have declined. First, the Onion Masala Dosa has large onion pieces mixed into the masala, which looks unusual and doesn't taste as good. Second, the tables are often dirty, and even after they're cleaned, they have an unpleasant smell, so the cleanliness and hygiene could definitely be improved. There is also only one restroom, and it's usually not very clean. We genuinely loved coming to this restaurant for years, but over the past couple of months, it just hasn't felt the same. The service is fine since it's a self-service restaurant, but we hope they bring the food quality back to what it used to be without increasing the prices further. We still have high hopes for this restaurant and would love to see it return to its previous standards. read more

Food is top notch, hot and reasonable. Service is fast. Ambiance is clean. Been coming here since years but this time Mysore masala Dosa was very very spicy. I come here often, especially when my family is in town visiting as it is one of their favorite spots. I'm not a big Indian veg guy but these guys definitely make me want to keep coming back. Was really missing home food, so decided to come for dosas with a couple of friends on father's day. The inside is very humble - you order at the front on the tablets and the prices are reasonable. They call your order number once it is ready. I ordered a masala dosa ($12) & chai ($3) to share with my friend. The portion was very filling with the masala. The dosa also comes with 3 chutneys (peanut, coconut, and tamarind i think?), a bowl of sambar, and mango payasam. The chutneys and sambar were very delicious and the sweet as a great note to end on. The chai was also good, nothing crazy. On father's day the vibes were really nice with families. We also went right when they opened, and it was already packed! Always a good sign. I will defiantly be visiting again. read more

Absolutely have to try when in the area! The food is flavorful and authentic. The seating is limited since it is always packed but it is fast paced so tables keep moving. Ordered a masala dosa. Masala was good, not great. It came with sambar and mint, tomato, and peanut chutney. Mint and peanut was good. Tomato chutney was lacking in flavor, all that was tasted was the spice. Overall the dosa was okay, but not exemplary from a place called dosa house. read more

The dosa was very thin and did not have any flavor of its own. Where is the sour or tangyness from fermentation? My friend from Mysore commented that it tasted like bland papadum. Luckily the chutneys were plentiful and flavorful. The dosa looks huge, but it is so thin, you could eat it without needing a TOGO. Next time we may try the uttapum and hope some fermented dosa flavor appears. Our favorite dish that we tasted was actually the gobi Manchurian. The restaurant was relatively clean, with 1 person spending almost all of his time cleaning tables and helping people get their trash into the bin (which can be challenging and messy as it is served on large stainless steel trays). You order from a KIOSK and they call your number over and over as each of your dishes come out of the kitchen, meaning the dishes are hot and fresh. My spouse wants to return, but I prefer her Auntie's South Indian food... read more

This is certainly the worst place to east dosa's & uttappam's. The sambar has no flavor and the chutney is nothing like an authentic chutney that you get in the south. Avoic this place if you can. read more

Dosa! After 20 years of travel to India, I love the different cuisines and styles. Dosas are a rarity in the US, given how much prep and space they require in the average kitchen. It's a countertop-style place with no frills, great for a quick bite and takeout. Pros -The food was tasty. I had a paneer palak dosa. The condiments that came with it were relatively fresh. Good portions. The dosa (made with lentils) was crisp on the edges warm, and the center had plenty of filling. I would have preferred more spinach; there were only a few leaves. It was packed with paneer. -The sambar was warm and tasty. The less good -YMMV. The spices and flavoring have been modified for American palates. There is much you can do. Too strong, spiced with unfamiliar tastes, will be a barrier to people coming back. -Sambar is one of those dishes that everyone makes their way. Again, it could have been more intensely flavored, and the lack of bindi/okra was a downer. -Prices. It's Bellevue. I'm glad Indian food is plentiful in the area. -Kheer (rice pudding) is a nice touch but lacking the strong flavors Other. If you're not familiar with Indian cuisine, then you'll need to search online. The menu and staff won't be a lot of help. There can be quite a line (which is a good indication), but they don't have time for many questions. To the person who said they expected the dosa to be/stay piping hot. How do you expect a 2mm thick pancake to stay piping hot for over a minute? I like dosa for breakfast. Opening at 8 AM would make me very happy :) Overall a great place to try a broader range of Indian food than you will find in many places. read more

Recently noticed this place while searching for a Dosa place in Bellevue side. Their menu looked great - a lot of dosa options, tiffins, Indo-Chinese, chaats, soups, tandoors, burgers.. Too many options to pick! Ordering is very convenient - they have a few kiosks to order - both dine in and take out! During my first visit we tried the Dosas and the fried rice. Really enjoyed it! Crispy dosas and the masala dosa was very delicious. When we visited again, we tried the Noodles, Indo-Chinese dosas, Paneer Roll, Gobi Manchurian, fried rice and the milkshakes! Very delicious and thoroughly enjoyed it. Chickoo shake deserves a special mention! Never had such delicious Chickoo shake after coming to States! Service is terrific. No real delay in preparing the food no matter how busy this place is. We placed our order and found a table. By the time we sat and settled down, the order started arriving! Nice and friendly people. Great ambiance, nicely decored and well maintained - clean and neat! Only a limited parking in front of the restaurant, but plenty of parking in the near by parking lot! If you are a Dosa lover or a person who loves Indian vegetarian food, Highly recommend this place! read more

Ordered a whole range of dosas and they were on point. Gigantic dosas made to order (my request for 'crispy' was honored precisely), generous helpings of sambar and chutney, clean and spacious, and decently quick service. The paneer dosa had a generous quantity of paneer. The paneer tikka serving was big. Perhaps it was my recent bad experience with the other dosa place that I went to (see my recent review a couple of days back) that this place definitely seemed amazing. The person at the counter was helpful and courteous. And the self-order kiosks were easy to use. Perhaps, prices could be right-sized a bit ($15.50+taxes for one paneer dosa seems a tad high -- closer to $12 would get this 10 stars), but overall, highly recommended if you are craving dosas in the Greater Seattle area. read more

This place was PACKED late at night. It seems like a local go-to spot. We got an array of Dosas and a Cauliflower Manchurian. The dosas were delicious and fresh. Crispy through and through, making it the perfect vehicle to dip into the various sambals. I particularly liked the Sandwich Dosa which was stuffed with potato filling and cheese. The Manchurian was crispy and flavorful. We also enjoyed their Mango Lassi. Very casual and fast service, ordering at the kiosks then you go find a table before your order is called. read more

Food was good, dosas are very fresh. The only thing I missed is whole vegetables in the Sambar.

This place was pretty good. There was a lot of seating and we got served pretty quick for lunch time. I ordered mysore masala dosa and it was pretty good. There was a spicy sauce that was spread all over the inside of the rolled dosa and it was spicy and cooked down. The sauces were all delicious and the rice pudding dessert was delicious and great to eat in between to clean the palette. It was super filling and had such a variety of things, it was very pleasant to eat. read more

Dosa House - Mysore Masala Dosa - Indian Near Me - Bellevue, Washington

Why would Indians be so thirsty to transpose the cultural heritage of a dosa platter into the industrial, uniform, and machine-like context of base American fast food? This model insults the intelligence, complexity, and richness of the Indian cuisine and culture. Fast food is a demonstrated violence on the land from which it extracts cheap, wasteful "product" while poisoning it. Equally fast food is a violence on the human body. It treats food as a profit-making commodity not a sacred covenant with life. Sadly the legacy of colonized (now neo-colonial) people is to chase the most depraved practices of the colonizer and be themselves so brainwashed that they uphold it as superior and desirable. The moral universe is turned upside down. Computer-based ordering by clicking on a screen from a stock reproducible menu? check Fast food preparation? check (because capitalist slaves must eat and run back to shopping and the desk treadmill) Bland taste of dosa and indistinguishable masala fillings? check Standardized quantities of chutneys? check Warm nourishing energetic power from human care in the food? MALFUNCTION I've eaten at roadside stalls based on a single gas burner and yet turning out way more taste and love on their humble plate than this desultory perversion of industrial excess and speed. Bathrooms are distinctively smelly. read more

Dosa House definitely has a core competency, and that is dosas. On this day I was craving a ghee dosa - lo and behold, they had it on the menu, and they nailed it. I also got a chole bhatura, which came with not one but 2 giant pooris. Somehow I ate it all. Why 4 stars then? Only because the sambar was not as flavorful as what I'm accustomed to, and the channa masala with the chole bhatura was spicy but also lacked that extra flavor. Still: I'll definitely be back for the dosas. read more

I had first been here when they first opened pre pandemic. At the time there were limited items on the menu and I wasn't blown away by the food. Recently I decided to revisit it, and was impressed by the variety of items in the menu. Everything was super tasty with good portions sizes and priced reasonably. Decided to visit on Father's Day and ordered pav bhaji ( average), dahi puri ( overpriced). What has stood out is the gobi Manchurian which has been consistently good. I think this place is worth a visit if you know what to order. The dosas and the veg fried rice are also very good. Give it a try. read more

This is cafeteria-style eatery that serves vegetarian food such as dosa and Desi Chinese varieties. It was busy on a Saturday afternoon. As soon as I open the door, a wave of heat and strong scent of food hit me in the face. This experience reminds me of eating on the streets of Asia. We ordered the Tandoori Paneer Kathi Roll, Schezwan Dosa, Gobi Manchurian and a cheese dosa for my baby. The portions are HUGE. What we ordered can easily feed 4 people. Food was decent. Next time I will order a dosa with different fillings, and the Schezwan Noodle separately. read more

The service is impressively quick, and the place is quite affordable. We tried the plain dosa, chili garlic noodles, and vegetable burger. The dosa was served with three types of chutney, sambar, and a dessert. While the sambar was average, the chutneys were good. The chili garlic noodles and vegetable burger were both quite good for the price. The burger had a vegetarian patty with tandoori paneer, adding a nice touch. Notably, all the food here is vegetarian, making it a great spot for those looking for delicious and budget-friendly vegetarian options. read more

Ordering process was pleasant and easy. Onion rava dosa was crisp as ordered. Sambar was excellent. The chutneys were decent as well and had flavor. The mysore masala dosa was well sized and crisp. The red masala chutney spread inside the dosa was red and spicy - loved that. The aloo masala was also good. The papri chaat was ok. Lacked masala and had no aloo in it. Lots of onion though. I would give that a 2. But the dosas were very good. read more

Such good dosas. the stuff was also so nice. They help me decide on the dish and were very polite. I loved the food and the service.

First time trying dosa home. It was recommended by a freind who grew up in India. I've never had Dosa before. I actually liked it. Workers were friendly and accommodating as I came in a group of 20 on a early Saturday afternoon. The menu did that have any pictures or ingredients on it. So, we all had to lean to our friend to provide tips. Although the gentlemen , at omghe ordering counter helped, they didn't seem excited to share their food/culture or explain what the dishes were. I loved the mango lassi and the green/white dip that came with the dish. Would try again read more

Their Dosas were not up to the Mark. Pesaarattu was not just made of Mung daal. It was mixed with rice batter. Sambar has MTR masala added and tasted like MTR ready made masala. May be try their Indo Chinese but not Dosa. read more

An ideal rating for this place would've been 3.5, but I'll round up to a 4. We came here on a Friday night and it was absolutely packed! We were lucky enough to get a table within 10 mins. We all started off with some tea, then got some samosa chaat, and ended with some mysore masala dosas. The tea was nice and hot, very soothing on a cold Seattle night. The samosa chaat and mysore masala dosas were flavored well, not too overwhelming and not too bland. My only complaint would be that the food was warm - I would've preferred the dosa and sambar to be piping hot. It was still very crispy, nonetheless. The chutneys were all delicious, my favorite being the coconut. There was also some mango rice kheer, which was a nice surprise and very yummy! Overall, I'd come here again as the food was tasty and service was good. Give it a try! read more
