So exited to try The Roll Pod. Love the concept of roti with an egg and delicious Indian fillings! This is a quick fast food place where you order from kiosk, plates & silverware are composable. We got 2 roll pods meals which came with 2 "burritos". Aloo Golbi, chicken Masala and lamb. Roll pod which comes with 2 rolls starts at $14.99. Most of the fillings are a dollar extra and if you want to add an egg it's almost $2. The only down side to this place is that these rolls can add up, although filling, be prepared to spent close to $18-20 per person for 2 pods.

Order terminal pitching a no longer available discount.

Butter chicken was pitched in the order terminal with a discount that didn't pop up on checkout. Counter person said discount no longer applied. Tried the butter chicken with rice anyway. Butter chicken was largely flavorless. Music was uncomfortably loud. Rice was pretty good.

The roles are pretty hardy. I thought I needed two to myself so we got 22 packs each, but really three would've been fine for both of us and we're not super big eaters, but we're not little eaters either. There's not much interaction aside from getting your food. The workers are in the back in the zone. I got the chicken masala and the mushroom masala, and both were really good really saucy and plentiful filling.

Great food. Its the best roll I ever had. I love their paneer schezwan and achari aalo. Even the pav bhaji was very tasty. Service and ambience 10 on 10.

I've wanted to try The Roll Pod since they were only a food truck. I never go to SLU during the weekday so I thought it'd never happen...and then I learned they have brick and mortar locations now!! I love going to Garden D'Lights so I decided to stop by here for dinner beforehand. The menu is pretty simple (basically built for a food truck) - roll or bowl - with a variety of fillings to choose from, including several veg*n options. I opted for 2 rolls with paneer masala and paneer chili. While there is a person there to cook the food, you are expected to place your own order through the touch screen or your phone. You also bus your own table if you dine it. Overall rolls were great and I'd 100% eat them again! I paid $1 extra for the chili and I feel it was mostly worth it. 2 rolls was quite filling so good portions there. My dining partner went with a half bowl made with chicken masala. It was very well received and he'd happily get it again.

Ordered a tri-combo roll pod. For each item, you can choose the filling; there are meat or vegetarian options. Order at the counter and find your own table. There were plenty of tables and the restaurant was clean. Staff were friendly and food was ready quickly.

Tikka masala and two potato based (aloo?) rolls. Mmm

Oh man, so good. I've been avoiding this place for too long, worried I'd enter into this tiny strip mall Indian restaurant and be faced with options I don't really understand and no pics. Not at all! First of all, super clean and well spaced interior with colorful fun pics on the walls. Menu is very clear how to order and has pictures of the food. It is fast food style ordering, at the counter where they call your number to pick it up whether you are dine in or to go. I loved the food. I'm a sucker for a good wrap regardless... burritos, zhua Bing wraps, summer rolls, pita, and now roll pod. The primary food is roti (thin chewy-ish pancake) with a fried egg, salad, sauce, and your choice of filling stuffed inside. They have several meat and many veg options. I got a trio of chicken Tikka, and two aloo (potato, right?) based dishes. Each was unique and each was delicious! I'm definitely going back, but ordering two instead of three to not overeat (again...)

First time here and I was very pleasantly surprised. I got a meatless wrap without the egg. Heatwise, I ordered a three out of five which was pretty appropriate. My friends who ordered a zero, they couldn't finish their roll because it was still too spicy. I thought the flavors were fantastic in the three different things that I tried. If there was a location here in Des Moines, I might frequent it except I think the pricing is a little high. That said, it's in Bellevue so what are you going to do?

    Chicken masala and Mango Lassi

Very unassuming place for yummy Indian food on the go! I came across this place after overhearing people talk about this place. I was curious and happened to be hungry so I headed over to see what the hype was about. The employees are very friendly and nice. You order on a big iPad screen and then just wait for your order. I had the chicken masala in the naan roll, and the mango lassi. They were both so good!! The roll was very spicy even at "medium" so be careful if you're sensitive to spice. My mouth was on fire but I loved it! The mango lassi was really fresh and wasn't too sweet. I had an upset stomach before coming, but the yogurt in the lassi actually made me feel much better for the rest of the day. Price was decent, it was ~$8 for the chicken masala roll and the lassi was $4. There is plenty of seating inside and a bathroom. Very casual place to eat quickly or to just grab and go!

Super authentic place and I felt like it was a popular type of street food I've never tried before. I was not familiar with this type of food before so the menu was slightly overwhelming being a new customer. However, I knew I needed to order a roll pod and get the bread bun too-kinda like a toasted Hawaiian roll. The roll pod came out super hot and fresh and I picked chili chicken for my filling. I also got egg in my wrap and asked for it to be spicy. I could taste the heat right away. I also like the curry that came with the dish too as it was spicy too. I would gladly come back and try something else again when I'm hungry and in the area.

Delicious!! If you like flavor come here! 1 pod was a solid lunch for me. If I were hungry perhaps another side. I can totally scarf down 2 too. I have tried, chicken, mutton, paneer and they are good! I personally like the mutton! My only negative: you can request spice level 1-5. 1 is mild 5 is spicy. I don't handle spice well and is their "1, mild" was still quite spicy for me. Wish I had milk to temper my mouth. Service- nice Ambiance- spacious, homey. Lots of seating options. Location- in a strip mall with parking available. Value- good, for one pod after taxes $9 and change. Recommend- yes.

Our comfort food! Love their rolls and rice pods. Favorite fillings are Fish, Mutton masala , chicken chili, paneer chilli. They do have a poster in the restaurant in you are confused about the menu. They have various combinations of rolls and rice pods to help you satisfy your hunger. 1 Rollpod is good for a snack but you will need half pod rice or another roll for lunch or dinner! They moved to a new location! The Online order still routes you to the previous location near Ross. This now opp to Ross taking over Afghan (next to timeless cafe)

I ordered paneer butter masala and grabbed a mango lassi from the fridge. I returned about 5 min later and it was ready for me! They do not ask for spice preference, and the things I have ordered all have mild heat (equivalent to 1-2 stars). This works great for me. The meals all come with rice, which is great. The food is definitely better for takeout, as the curry and rice were in different containers and it was a little awkward to try to eat it there. That said, it held up great and was a perfect meal on the couch! The ambiance in the food court is so so. Really depends on the time of day. The meal also comes with Naan, it was 3 nice sized pieces. They were hot and tasted fresh. The presentation was nice as my expectations for food court food a slightly lower. Getting it "for here" over "to go" probably helped with that. I'd consider going again but definitely would try for a lunch special to save a few bucks.

I'd say overall, the menu was a little pricey, but they've got some pretty unique offerings. Parking is pretty easy as it's a shared lot with crossroads. Malaiyo is effectively just textbook light, whipped cream with a ton of saffron. They definitely don't skimp on the saffron, so if you enjoy that floral, slightly herbal flavor, this will be the dessert for you. Jalebi Rabri came out piping hot and it's got a crunch that once you bite through, the sugar syrup just gushes out. It's definitely tasty, but it was SO sweet. I'd probably put in an order and share this with a group as more than one in a sitting might be a bit tough. Banarasi Lassi was just a little tart, creamy, and had a little bit of saffron swirled through. It had just a touch of the floral saffron flavor and the sliced almonds on top were a nice touch.
