Great, fast place for lunch or dinner. I ordered (through Postmates) a combo of butter chicken and lamb vindaloo with rice and garlic naan, along with sides of parata, and aloo tikki. (Enough for two meals.) Gotta admit, I'm not an expert when it comes to Indian cuisine, but it all tasted great! Plus, a lot of care was taken in packing everything up. This is a small place with 4 tables and some outside seating. Went here for lunch. The food was really good. We ordered filter coffee, samosa, non veg meal with 2 entree (paneer tikka and egg masala) with basmati rice and butter naan. We also ordered vada and malabar paratha. 1. The filter coffee was really nice felt like homemade coffee. 2. The meal was also really nice. Both the curries were really tasty. 3. Found this place on yelp and visited because of the amazing reviews. We were totally blown away by this hidden gem. It's one of those places you call tiny but mighty they have an extensive menu and trust me all the dishes are delicious. They have like 4 kinds of lassi!!! Currently Bhojan Xpress is takeout or delivery only. I walk inside with my husband and place an order from items right in front of us on their buffet type line. These are items that can and would be later scooped out taking 30 seconds. Once we finish paying she tells us it will take 10 min to get ready. Not sure what we are waiting for, but okay there is a gentlemen behind us in line. So we step outside and watch inside. Nothing is happening. She's chatting with this other person and casually scooping out some items as if she's preparing orders. After ten minutes I walk back inside to her, still just standing behind the counter. When she sees me she starts to get our items scooped out and handed over. We literally waited for nothing. Some of the worst service I've ever seen, anything but Xpress. read more

I just wanted some decent inexpensive Indian food... Extremely small dining area. After I ordered my food I was asked if I wanted anything else. I asked for a cup of water. I did not get any cup or water for that matter and when I checked my receipt afterwards (email only) it said "Water - $1.50." LOL, wtf! I was asked if I would be eating in or to go. I said I would be eating in and sat down at one of the three empty tables. The guy comes out and says, "you wanted it to go right?" Thinking the order in his hand was mine to go. I'm so hungry at this point I said sure that's fine. Turns out that wasn't my order. So I wait a little bit longer and I finally get my order "to go." Ok, so at this point I don't care because it's cramped as hell in there and it happens to be really sunny today so I decide to sit at the table outside. Luckily, they have that going for them. I open up my meal and there are literally 3 tiny pieces of lamb and 3 tiny pieces of chicken in their own compartments. I kid you not, I was charged almost $15 for ~2 oz of meat (I'm being generous here with my eye balling. I will tell you I'm very experienced with meal prepping and weighing my own food out), basmati rice, and some naan bread. Overall, the food was just decent... Finally a good dosa place in downtown Bellevue! I kept passing by this place and I really wanted to try out their dosas. They have a lot of variety of food to pick from. Everything here is vegetarian which is a plus! They also have options like vada pav, dahi vada and other things to pick from. The food is great for the value! I ordered the Mysore masala dosa which was delicious! It came with a side of coconut chutney, tomato chutney and sambhar all that for 12.99! We also ordered bread combo which is basically 2 breads, 2 entree and soup of the day! We chose panner butter masala, and some coconut curry and garlic naan. The naan was very okay tbh, but the subjee was delicious! They also serve different kinds of lassi, Chicoo milkshake, sitafal milkshake, litchi lassi (which I have never heard of but now I'm curious as to how it tastes), and many other drinks and desert to pick from. I wish I could give 0. Ordered 3 items. Panneer kathi roll, cutlet and veg biryani. Panner kathi roll was soggy. It was made with tortilla instead of chapati. Cutlet was stale. Biryani rice was dry. It felt the biryani was cooked days ago and rice became very dry. When I called and complained about kathi roll, the restaurant says thats how they make Kathi rolls with totilla. I don't want to adversely affect this small business (hence the five star rating) but I would like to offer some constructive criticism. I don't know if it was just a bad day or there was a shortage of ingredients but the other day, we ordered from here for the first time. Paneer Butter Masala was quite watery and did not taste well. Malai Kofta was better but okay at best. Considering the generally positive sentiment that I see on Yelp! reviews, I was surprised.
