    Pepperoni pide
    Tia P.

The food safety rating is just "okay" and the portions are very tiny for the price. I paid $18 for a pepperoni pide and it was the thinnest pide I've ever had, it looked like a quesadilla. It tasted good, however there was barely any pepperoni and I only tasted cheese & breading. The tax is also up to 10.85% which is absurd, definitely not worth it. The workers were nice, it did take a while for the food to come out but it's a small space so I understand.

    Mixed Pide

Tried the mixed Pide. They roll out the fresh flat dough on the spot. Ground flavored meat & potato with herbs tasted good. Small take out place doing brisk business so everything is fresh. Some hot sauce may elevate the taste but it was enjoyable. Try it next to Macy's outside area.

Highly recommend if you're in the area. It's located by the Macy's and a tiny little kitchen. Order ahead if you want to avoid wait time. We tried chicken pide and special (ground beef, potato, spinach) pide and they were delicious. Between the two I'd pick the beef as my favorite!

    Veggie Gozleme
    Paul J.

Loitering around Bellevue Square, my stomach grumbled as I passed Istanbul Cuisine - probably because it evoked memories of my time in Turkey and the wonderful food I experienced there. So I ambled up to the window and ordered a Veggie Gozleme - spinach, potato and mozzarella sealed inside Turkish flatbread, with a tiny side of taziki sauce. Warm, fresh and gooey, a quick dip in the sauce and each bite took me back to the hustle and bustle of Istanbul. Thank you! This place hits the spot - if you're looking for authentic Turkish eats, stop by Istanbul Cuisine and dig in!

    Kunefe Turkish Coffee
    Nathan K.

I loved the unique taste of the Kunefe. It was a lovely 50/50 of savory and sweet. The server took 10 minutes to complete my order. Well worth the wait. The location wasn't too loud. This is good. I liked the Turkish Coffee too. A nice balance afterwards to the dessert I ate.

    Potato Gozleme (VEGAN)
    Shuba S.

My absolute favorite stopover for a quick bite when I am in Bellevue square and want a quick lunch. We have ordered both potato and spinach Gozleme and they are both super delicious but potato filling is my absolute favorite. It reminds me of the bhaji in "Pav bhaji" -- an Indian street food that is smushed veggie gravy with a strong potato base and spices. They might look thin but they fill you pretty fast. The fillings are so flavorful. Have also tried their Cig kofte and loved it as well. Be prepared for a wait during peak times -- it can go as long as 20 minutes. Food is made to order but if you have time to spare or want to eat some spectacular Turkish food then I'd say it's worth it.

Hidden Gem, very authentic and a great little spot for lunch. Can't find any place like this in the area. They just did a little renovation so I'm hoping the new look will help them be more noticeable. Skip the chain restaurants in the mall and go here!

    Dolma and baklava
    Jane N.

The portions are really small! There's are no gluten free options except the dolma. Not authentic anything. Service was so so. Staff not knowledgeable. Kept calling it pizza. No indoor seating. Take out style.

Oh. My. Gawd. Their pide is to die for. It's by the mall entrance and hard to miss. They are so friendly and answered questions I had, as there were dishes (like pide) that I'd never tried before. I thought I'd get one slice but nope got a whole pie! My husband was like not interested, but after one bite ate half because it's just that good!

We have driven past Istanbul Cuisine many times and have wanted to try it. Recently when I was in Bellevue Square I decided to get dinner from Istanbul Cuisine. I got Chicken Wrap, and Chicken Pide. We loved both the Chicken Wrap, and Chicken Pide. The chicken filling in both was delicious. We will be back soon to try other items.

Istanbul Cuisine is right outside Bellevue Square in sort of a walk-up window like kitchen. It almost reminds me of a NY food cart. In my visits it's being managed by a pair of workers. You pay and the food is made to order right then and there. I had the Chicken Pide - Pita dough that is molded to look like a big flatbread pizza shaped and filled with toppings. In the case of this Chicken Pide - Marinated chicken, green onion, parsley and diced tomatoes. It was pretty good. chicken nicely flavored living up to its advertised marinating and the veggie fillings tasted fresh. I thought it could use a little spice though. It's Halal, nut and dairy free. It does come with a white sauce that I didn't think was that great. Only snag here is the price. $13.50 I think is a bit high and some of the other options go up from there.. Still though you get a fair amount two 'Pide's, sliced into tree pick up bites which it makes it fairly shareable if you aren't really hungry. If you're looking for some fast Mediterranean food though, Istanbul Cuisine is a decent choice especially since Bellevue square food court isn't that great.

How is the Baklava here? I'm a sucker for really good crispy honey dripping baklava.. and i was wondering if it would be worth the trip to get it at Istanbul Cuisine.

To be honest, it's not good. Don't get me wrong, there regular good is pretty good. But the baklava is way below average. Probably one of the worst I have ever had.

There's a layer of pistachio inside the flakes as well and it's not just on the top. And The Turkish coffee alone is worth the stop. But what makes this place truly delight is the people behind it. I think I can echo that some of the grilled meat can be a little dry or rough. I do think that might just be the cut of meat that is used and maybe that's how it might taste? We originally went because we had seen good reviews for Almanqal Mediterranean Grill. The food took quite a while to come out and when it finally arrived, it wasn't even hot. The bread honestly tasted like something bought from a grocery store. The rice was very bland, and although the salad was actually really good, the chicken was extremely dry, chewy, and lacked flavor. The presentation looked nice, but the taste just didn't match. The portions were also quite small, and the prices felt very high for what you get. The service was just okay overall. The décor is function over form, i.e. basic. There were two staff members at the front, both of whom also prep food, cook, or grill. She told us to order at the cash register, but others had their order taken at their table later. While they have tables to sit-down, service was limited. They were also busy with takeout orders during the peak dinner time of 6pm. It wasn't until the end of dinner rush that they walked around the tables to refill water. Understandable given their small family business. The food is pretty good, more at a neighborhood scale; I wouldn't categorize them as 'worth the drive'. Prices are reasonable for the food, not high, not a bargain, either. The Food: Fried Cauliflower with tahini sauce, $10.50 - 4 Stars I have a strong affinity to Mediterranean fried cauliflower. Theirs is slightly soft but crispy on the outside nonetheless. Could be better, but we still liked it. Eggplant pickles, $9.99 - 3 Stars Menu: Grilled Eggplant, garlic, lemon juice, cilantro, The problem with ordering at the cash register is I tend to forget to ask question(s). My eyes lit up with 'grilled eggplant' (which I love) and neglected to ask if this is a hot or cold dish. It is a COLD dish and the keyword is 'pickles'. Chopped bits of pickle things covered the grilled eggplant slices. Cold eggplant is not that good, imo. Lamb Kebab Salad, $18.99 - 3 Stars Again, due to ordering at the register, I forgot to ask what kind of salad. While the lamb kebab pieces are very tender and good, the salad consists of uninspiring iceberg lettuce with tiny bits of tomato and tiny shreds of onions. Minus a star for the salad part. Lamb Kebab, $25 - 4 Stars This dish is served with one appetizer. We chose baba ghanoush. The fact this dish comes with a full-size appetizer makes this much more worthwhile than the salad. The lamb pieces are tender, and the rice is flavorful. The baba ghanoush is also good. Thumbs up for the trio. The overall rating should be 3.5 stars. I normally round down to 3 stars for the minimal service, but I am rounding up to 4 stars for the small family business.
