Just wanted a quick coffee and breakfast and found this place on Apple Maps. The cafe itself is super cute and there are a few table to sit inside and outside. The breakfast sandwiches were great and I loved that you could add avocado. They had vegan milk options and the staff was very friendly! read more

Overall the vibe is cute, bright, and right in downtown. The matcha latte was really good and I like that they asked me how sweet I want it. Not the best place if you're looking to do work since there isn't very much space/seating and the seats are not very comfortable. The staff was super friendly though and had plenty of regular customers coming in and out. read more

Their chai is amazing! If you're looking for something with a proper amount of spice, not just flavored milk, they have it! The staff are extremely kind and helpful. My friend also liked a chicken sandwich he had there. If you come later in the day, they do tend to have fewer sweet food options. Also doesn't seem like a bad place to work since I've seen a few other customers hanging out there for a while. read more

Iced mocha good and had bits of chocolate and coffee in it! Not too much ice either. My standard order at coffee shops now is a large Earl Gray tea with room for cream. Most places have cream on the outside, and if they don't most places are respectful when I say do not pour the half and half in for me give it to me on the side and leave room. This place did not do that. When I said room for cream they asked if I was fine with half and half I said yes but leave room I wanted to steep it first. Instead of doing that, she proceeded to fill it with hot water not let it steep and pour the half and half in. When I said fill all the way to the top she left an inch of room. That isn't no way in line with what I said which was explicitly large Earl Gray tea with room for cream with the cream on the side. I will not be coming back to this establishment. They could have done hell of a better job. read more

One of my favorite cafes in Seattle. Great coffee, amazing breakfast sandwiches, and super friendly staff. The owner is always keen and remembering her customers and asking how they are, and always has treats on deck for good dogs. I always make sure to stop by here when working in SLU. read more

I'm sad to rate them 3 stars since I was hoping this would become a regular go-to of mine, but I just couldn't justify more. I would try other parts of their menu again though at some point and see if it was just an off day. 1. Cinnamon financier (weekly special flavor) - very dry and I personally would've liked a greater hit of cinnamon 2. Yuzu financier - by far my favorite! This one was moister and I could definitely taste the citrus in each bite, even getting a tiny bit of zest which I enjoyed. 3. Einspanner - the coffee itself was good but I didn't get the housemade whipped cream I hoped for and had seen in other Yelp pictures. The cafe itself was cute! read more

Love their coffees. This little cute shop is right next to the delicious Korean shop, Bentoful. Servers are friendly and always inviting. Numerous seating options to sit and enjoy drinks and pastries. One of my fancy iced coffee drinks had an actual small cinnamon stick in it. All very pretty and delicious. read more

Stopped by on a coffee break for a latte and ended up treating myself to a Honey Financier. It's a small almond cake that is dense, sweet and moist with a nice outside crust. Can't wait to try all of the other flavors. Adding this to my short list of coffee shops. read more

Came here on a cold Thursday morning for work since I wasn't able to work from home today! Ordered an Einspanner and was absolutely blown away by how good the creamy foam was on top. Mixed with the coffee, it was a perfect balance of rich, sweet, and roastedness. The ambiance of the place is also amazing. Modern, cool, clean. This is a great place to just come and chill! I've been to Cafe An Clair more times than I can count and it never disappoints! They have amazing drink options and great pastries - especially their financiers (they also have scones, but I find them a bit dry). My go-to drink is a matcha latte, iced or cold, it is delicious. You can also customize sweetness and all types of alternative milks! It has a cute interior and great location as well and service is always good. Love that it is a small local business and very excited that they have opened up an additional location in SLU! read more

Very cute spot! Nice ambiance and has a decent amount of seating outside under a tent. I came for breakfast around 9:30am. Not too busy and there were 2 people working, one on drinks and the other on food and cashier. They were both very quick and efficient! I got the egg bacon and cheese sandwich and a chocolate chip cookie. The sandwich was very good. A good amount of bacon and cheese and the brioche bun was great! For a little cafe, I think this breakfast sandwich was better than most. I will say though that the ingredients weren't very evenly spread out so I had a few dry bites, but probably would've been made better if I had added the avocado. Chocolate chip cookie was good, but a little cakey for my preference. It wasn't warmed, but I didn't ask for it so not sure if they would if you do. But overall I would definitely recommend this place for a quick grab and go breakfast! read more

We went this morning and it was a small, very clean cafe. I could see they had many regulars because the employees could anticipate some of the orders. I enjoyed the window seating and there were several people in there working on lap tops and drinking coffee. It wasn't too loud of a cafe. I appreciated the attention to detail because when giving me my cup of coffee, there was some spilled coffee on the side of the cup and saucer. The barista cleaned it quickly and changed the saucer out. The negative is that my husband and I both felt like our coffee and latte were too cool. They just were not very hot. I rarely would say that at a cafe, but honestly our drinks were room temperature by the time we ate our sandwich and finished off with the drinks. The sandwiches are a 5/10, nothing to rave about but as a whole I would return if we ever visited Seattle again and was in the area. The staff are friendly, informative and the line moves quickly. read more

Got the chai latte with oat milk and asked for it to be spicy. There was no wait which was nice, the inside was a little small so not much seating but outside there's a nice spot with a fountain to sit. It tasted really good and actually had a kick to it, usually places like Starbucks have more mild versions. Only downside was that it was a little pricy, but not that out of the ordinary for Seattle. I'd come back again. read more

Cafe An'Clair is a solid coffee option if you're in the area. I tried the Spanish latte and I quite enjoyed it. Overall the flavours were good and the coffee was smooth. I was hoping to try some of their baked goods but unfortunately they were out of a lot of the flavours by the time I'd gotten there. This is officially one of my favorite coffee shops in Seattle. It doesn't have the hipster vibes you'd expect from a Seattle coffee shop; it actually leans closer to cute LA koreatown cafe, which is fitting since a lot of its employees were Korean. They have a decent selection of sandwiches (they have a bulgogi sandwich!!) and coffee. Their drinks all tend to be on the sweeter side since some of them, including the Spanish latte I ordered, use condensed milk. Luckily, you can adjust the sweetness if you don't have much of a sweet tooth. My Spanish latte had a whole stick of cinnamon in it, and plenty of cinnamon powder on top and mixed in. It wasn't too spicy and somehow maintained a sweet cinnamon flavor. My only gripe with this place is the seating. There's plenty, but the tables are soooo close together. Like I had to ninja my way around to get to my table without touching anyone, and doing this while holding a hot latte was quite the challenge. read more

Such a cute little cafe! The bright white open space makes this place very aesthetic so it's perfect for your Instagram feed. I tried the bulgogi sandwich which was so flavorful! I only had half and I was already satisfied. The little pound cakes are so cute. I love how they're a perfect bite size so you can try all the flavors. When I came, they only had honey, blueberry, and their special raspberry that day. Both were great! The service here is also very welcoming which makes me want to definitely come back here to try other sandwiches and pastries. read more

I am a fan of Cafe An'Clair's pastries. I would upload photos of their financiers and scones, but I'm always too excited to eat them that I forget to take pictures! My favorites are the honey financier, chocolate financier, and blueberry scone. Even though I live on the Eastside, I love making the trip to Seattle just to get my yummy desserts to-go. The drinks are also delicious. I am a matcha lover so naturally, I enjoyed their iced matcha latte. I appreciate Cafe An'Clair for taking Covid precautions. The service is so friendly. The store itself is simple and aesthetic. I can't wait for the pandemic to end so I can enjoy a nice matcha latte inside the store--for now, I'm happy to just be able to take-out! read more

My husband and I went here the day before we left Seattle. It was only down the block from our hotel. I got the hot chocolate. My husband got the Spanish latte and together, we shared a blueberry scone. The hot chocolate was pretty good. My husband really liked his Spanish latte. He said it was the best coffee he's had while we were in Seattle. It tasted sweet and had a cinnamon taste to it. I immediately realized I liked the blueberry scone and got another one to go for the airport. They didnt have dining options inside but they did have one outside. One of my go-to coffee shops for the past year! If you're in the area for a boost of caffeine or munchies for some sandwiches, this place provides. I love to work in this small cafe. When entering the glass doors, you immediately notice the natural lighting pouring in through the large glass windows. The design is minimalist with white marble-type tables and wooden chairs over a cooler concrete floor. I enjoy the lighter roast Americano, but they have plenty of items on the menu to choose from. The workers are especially bright and have especially strong customer service. Upon frequently coming, the workers know your name and order rather quickly. I highly recommend this cafe for anyone who likes minimalist-type cafes with good coffee/food. Caveat is that the space may be limited during the lunch rush. read more

Wow. Customer service on point. It blew me away. The girls who worked there (possibly the owners) were so friendly and helpful. I don't think I've received that level of customer service at a cafe in a very long time. The girl at the counter gave me a brief rundown of their menu drinks and made it easy for me to find a drink I wanted. I ended up ordering the Ainspanner, which is an americano with a dollop of their housemade cream. The drink was splendid, and the housemade cream is so worth getting. I'll definitely be back to try the other drinks. read more

This is your instagramable coffee shop! Cafe An'Clair is adorable and cute. I usually don't write reviews but this place is amazing. Friendly baristas, delicious pastries, and good coffee! First time, I got a latte and my sister tried a Spanish latte. The Spanish latte was the bomb! Very smooth and sweet! I really like the combination of condensed milk and cinnamon. After that, I always order it! Besides the coffee, you can order Bulgogi sandwich and financiers. I tried all flavors of financiers (Yuzu, honey, berry and bacon). They are all good but my favorite is Yuzu! Their sandwiches are perfect for lunch! I wish I work nearby so that I can go weekdays too. Great place to work with a very good, clam vibe on Saturday! read more

Perfect way to start the morning. They have many delicacies such as scones and financiers or even breakfast meals with bacon. The almond scone and the honey financier were a delight. They weren't overly sweet and were obviously made fresh as they were still warm. They even have gluten free options. I also had the hot chocolate which was excellent: rich and with the perfect sweetness. On their menu they also have coffees, chai latte or matcha latte as well as many other items. The service is is fantastic here. Everyone is friendly and takes the time to serve you. The place is clean and comfy. Would definitely come back. read more

This place is absolutely adorable! Very bright open space with big windows to let natural light in. The service was wonderful, they had some samples and my friend can't have eggs so they immediately put out a sample of a scone which has no eggs! Average coffee and pastries in a city with many other options. Food: 2, Value: 2, Atmosphere: 2, Service 3 Went to this small cafe in Seattle based on the good reviews. I ordered a latte and three of their financiers (honey, banana (special), and brownie for $1.50 each). I was a little disappointed the latte was served in a togo cup rather than a mug and was lacking in flavor and richness. The foam was also not as smooth as I typically like. The financiers were also nothing special. The honey was the best of the three and had a really great crust that was sweet and browned in flavor and was relatively moist. The banana had almost no banana flavor and was pretty dry. The same goes for the brownie flavor. Overall with so many other great options for coffee and bakeries in Seattle, I would not choose this one. read more

Cafe An'Clair brings a refreshing new vibe to the densely populated SLU coffee shop scene. The thing that stands out the most is the great customer service -- they do a great job of creating a warm + welcoming environment and genuinely care about each individual's visit! The decor and ambiance is very cute too :) They also offer an extensive drink menu with some unique offerings, like their cloud foam cold brew. I ordered a matcha latte last time that was also really good and I was able to customize the sweetness level. As for the food, I've only tried their sausage breakfast sandwich, but they also offer other sandwiches and salads for lunch. There's way more options for coffee closer to my office, but I think going out of the way to stop at Cafe An'Clair is worth it! read more

I purchased two financier and a Spanish latte from this cafe and everything was delicious! The honey financier was especially good. I'm not usually a fan of honey flavored things, but this was amazing. It tasted how I always imagined the honey in Winnie the Pooh would taste - warm and sweet - and with a wonderful crunchy crust on the financier. I can't wait to go back and try more! read more

Thank goodness for this little heavenly spot next to my office. There's no workday that a dirty, spicy chai from An'Clair can't help me conquer. Such a chic spot to meet for a coffee or snack. Oh, and I must mention the sandwiches and quinoa salad that have gotten me through the need for a quick stop lunch and saving me from other terrible options like packaged vending machine sandwiches. I don't have a dog, but I get joy from watching the employees hand out dog treats to delighted pups, kind of like Howninreact to a cold brew latte with oat milk. Nothing but good things to say about this quaint cafe! read more

This is one of my favorite cafes around. The staff that work here are so great and they appreciate my dog which is great and he enjoys their treats. I really like their breakfast sandwiches though I do wish they had a bit more egg with the amazingly crispy and tasty bacon they have on the sandwich. I tried the turkey egg and cheese sandwich as well and it was pretty tasty as well but the bacon is really the way to go here because they use real people bacon and have it crispy rather than barely cooked. read more

this sandwich was highly impressive as the main part of the…read moresandwich, it was pretty necessary that the pork be cooked to near-perfection, and i have to say it was here it gave off a deep, brown-ish color, which showed the extent of it's cooking and marination. It wasn't quite incredibly tender, but the marinade added an absolute ton of flavor. more importantly, it was present plentifully throughout the sandwich, so practically every bite came filled with pork I also have to mention how packed together the ingredients are between the buns. when you start eating, it's inevitable that a quarter of the ingredients will fall onto the wrap below, leaving a nice secondary meal to finish off after the sandwich is done. the sandwich is packed incredibly tight during the wrapping process, but it unravels a bit while eating. for me, the major highlights of this meal was the onions and the aioli Starting with the onions, these may be the best I've ever had on a sandwich. They're caramelized amazingly, placed onto the sandwich in astoundingly large pieces, are crunchy, and there's just a lot of them. They're just wonderful both texturally and taste-wise. This sandwich is absolutely lathered with aioli - practically dripping with it. This boosted the overall flavor so much, especially because this aioli was addictingly good. In my experience, the amount of sauce has been directly proportional to how much I enjoyed a sandwich, and when the sauce is this good - it's even on the top of the bun! - i absolutely loved it Somehow the lettuce stayed crunchy despite all the otherwise wetness going on in the sandwich. Props for that The jalapenos were great as well for that extra bit of spicy - I would've loved to have more of them while the bread was toasted well, the one downside was i thought it was pretty hard and tough, which made chewing kind of difficult. I found my jaw to be pretty tired at the end after eating this. I would've much preferred a softer roll that's easier to bite into I've had similar sandwiches from Paseo and Bongos, and in my opinion this does edge out both of those Comparing to Paseo, the sandwich there has way more oil, making it more sloppy and I do like the bread there a lot better, but the pork feels richer and better marinated here (although less fatty), and the onions are definitely caramelized better here as well. Obviously, they cook everything fresh to order because the inside of the fries was like lava. The fries were thick-cut and seasoned to perfection. The sandwich was good. I thought some pieces of the steak were a bit tough, and the roll seemed a bit over-steamed or possibly stale. A good sandwich and decent portion, nonetheless. I'm still going 5 stars here. I think Big Mike's is a great choice if you want a hearty, meat-filled sandwich and you happen to be in the area. However, I think you could be happy with another dining option in the Armory, too. My kids loved the MOD Pizza nearby. While there isn't anything wildly unique going on at Big Mike's, they are still pushing out great sandwiches at reasonable prices with a no-frills ordering process.
