Very clean and great food. Very fast service and very fresh items that you can actually choose from.

My favorite place for lunch when I am on the medical campus at UM. A must! The rice bowls are awesome.

I'm not usually picky about eggs at all, but these were undercooked, actually ended up leaving most of them, which is rare for me. The bread came out dry too, no butter, no oil, had to ask for it separately, which shouldn't even be a thing at this price point. Overall, just a very mediocre breakfast for something that ended up being around $20+. The pastries actually looked really good, but I didn't have any more funds to try them after already spending that much on eggs and a coffee. Only thing that saved it a bit was the coffee, it was good but very disappointed on paying that much for the breakfast I had. Not the worst meal I've had, but definitely not worth what I paid.

A French Hidden Gem Worth Discovering…read more By pure chance, I took a different route home today and stumbled upon this charming little French bakery, spotless, elegant, and truly welcoming. It's run by Antoine, who was incredibly kind and polite , he even gave us a little extra of their delicious tarragon sauce to take home! The service was handled by a group of young women who were beautiful, friendly, and professional. One of them even recommended the ciabatta when I was about to change the bread , and I'm so glad she did! The chicken sandwich was spectacular: fresh, airy ciabatta, a divine tarragon sauce, and perfectly seasoned chicken salad with walnuts and cranberries. My daughter had the salmon croissant , crispy, buttery, and unexpectedly perfect. Everything was exquisite, from the flavors to the service. A true culinary gem I'd recommend 100%!

The food is consistently excellent, made with high-quality ingredients and a lot of care, and the menu has something for everyone. The coffee is outstanding, easily some of the best in Miami, and pairs perfectly with their delicious pastries and savory dishes. What really sets Libertino Cafe apart, though, is the service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in. Libertino Cafe has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Miami. Unfortunately, on my visit this was counterweighted by a few strikes: first, the music was very loud. Given that this place appears to have cultivated a study/work-friendly environment, this made no sense. Fortunately, I had earplugs on me (and most others in the place had headphones/earphones). Second, pricing: others have noted that the coffee prices are on the high side, and while the ambience justifies it, it felt awkward to be up-charged for a splash of milk (note: they don't have half-and-half) after paying $5+ for a 12-oz americano. Finally, I didn't like the beverage much. They use a bean with a very fruity profile and have treated it with darker roasting style that doesn't seem to complement it. I may give this place another chance when back in the area, but only after trying a few of the other spots around.

For the ropa vieja, the beef was very tender since it was slow-cooked for 5 hours, and the tomato sauce offered a good flavor addition. I added black beans to the dish as well which I would highly recommend for others to do the same. My partner had the day's catch and was offered a piece of fish which was pretty delicious, but for $30 it was a bit too much. The picadillo a la habanera had good criolla sauce, which defined the flavor of the dish. We ordered a flan and an arroz con leche as well, and both desserts were tasty and decorated beautifully, especially the golden sugar crust on the arroz con leche, which almost resembled the crème brûlée sugar top. In terms of drinks, the piña colada didn't taste like an alcoholic drink, which could be a hit or miss depending on who's having it. The guava juice tasted very fresh, which subsequently made it not very sweet, which we were more than okay with. I also felt like the instructions for water were not very clear, because it seemed like my partner was led on to believe that still water was free, but we were charged $14 for it at the end. There was also a 20% service fee which I clarified with the waiter that it didn't count as tip. However, the suggested gratuity was roughly 7% to 12% based on the bill. All this information is simply to keep other customers aware. The food was still pretty on point above all else.
