This place is always busy. People love to come here to enjoy a sandwich. The line moves fast. Some dine in. Some take it to go.They consistently make good sandwiches. I had the chicken and steak. Yum yum yum. I did order some fries on the side for the first time but I didnt enjoy them. But as long as my sandwhich was good. I was happy. The placw is located on a corner street with parking located in the back. Parking can get a little tight. read more

I used to go to the Army armory Across the street in the mid-90's. I always remembered these being great sandwiches, but sometimes your memories fail you and you have a fondness of a time and place that can't be revisited. This was not one of those times. I haven't been here in about 25 years. I'm not sure if the owners have remained the same. According to my memory it was almost exactly as I remembered. Only nicer. They used to have Formica countertops, now granite! Nice new tables. With more seating than I remembered. I took my Godmother and when she saw the wrap around line she was disappointed! I said "Mom, just wait, if I remember correctly this place is a well oiled machine!" When we walked in there were about 30 people in line ahead of us. We weaved through that line in 10 mins tops! They have a HUGE variety of sandwich options. The prices are very fair. It's in a bit of a dicey neighborhood. But we struck up conversation with several people in line in front and behind us and everyone we met were cooler than the other side of the pillow. Most of them were regulars, and made some interesting suggestions. I bet you could eat there a hundred times and never have the same sandwich twice. I got a large steak, mushrooms, onions and cheese with tomatoes and papitas. Mom got a small chicken fajita sub. I got a bag of Zapps Voodoo chips. And we got two fountain sodas. $24 total. It's worth the trip if you're at Jackson Memorial or find yourself over that way and looking for an adventure. read more

"I've been coming here since I was a teenager. The first sub I ever had, my dad bought it for me, so it holds sentimental value since he passed away recently. My go-to sandwich has always been the bacon, egg, and cheese, and it has never missed--in soft, warm toasted bread and perfectly mixed ingredients to go with it. They have a variety of options, FYI, and none of them miss in perfection, hence the reason it's stood strong for so many years. The service has been a bit of a rollercoaster due to different employees, but I just went today, and I tell you, it was phenomenal. Now, I'm not just saying this because of personal feelings; you really have to go. It's a hidden gem for sandwich lovers. It may not seem too crazy since it's covered in street art, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and honestly, you'll always see people inside no matter what time of day. I would recommend this place 10/10 and will always come back again." read more

I have been back many times since my first visit back in 2012 and I gotta say this is one of the best sub shops in all of South Florida. I dare you to find a better, softer sub roll. You can't and you won't! The staff is great and always hustling! The place is what you expect from a sub shop. I go there for the food and not the ambiance, although its not bad at all. read more

Love this place !!!!! It never disappoints the food and staff are always quick with it, even when it's packed the line to get your food moves quickly read more

Small place. Went around 1 pm during the weekend and line was long, was very hectic and unorganized. The employees just yell down the line at you and ask you want you want - be prepared to likely scream back and forth as they ask you multiple questions about your order from relatively far away. The whole process for ordering is sort of terrible. Saw tons of orders getting confused and customers/employees getting frustrated. A lot of tables in the small space so you're able to eat there if you want, or take it to go. We ate in restaurant which was fine and probably a little more fresh/hot. Sandwiches are relatively plain in flavor, even if you add a bunch of toppings. Flavor is good - just doesn't knock your socks off, per se. The large is plenty enough to split between two people, unless you have a huge appetite. Food was good, but the disorganization and lack of process was enough to not warrant a super quick return back. read more

Subs on the Run soda fountain looks like it's giving out botulism and black mold spores! If anyone can get the health inspectors down here asap! Nobody should be paying for there on health issues! Unsanitary and open for public viewing. A lot of people don't care about this but if you opened up this machine and looked into the pipes or the ice machine it's gonna be horrific. if I could say zero stars obv I would read more

Place has been there for years. I hadn't gone in a bit, but was close by so decided to go. The staff / owners are very friendly. Place looked the same but was very clean. The bathroom was out of order when I went, but I did hear them talking about the plumber was going by soon. I was very disappointed with the bread. There was a lot of bread compared to the meat. Not sure if I just got that one odd peace. I'll give them another try soon. Hopefully the bread won't be so doughy. read more

RUUUUNNNNN to this place! Best kept secret! Not somewhere I would have stopped if my friends hadn't taken me here. I made my own sub and it was increíble. Immediately started texting people to make sure they check it out. It's that good! The sub was hot and huuugggeeee. I'm a big eater. I'll admit it. I def didn't need the whole sandwich. The prices? You CANNOT beat! My friend got fries and they were well seasoned (Lawrys I believe- yummm) and crispy! read more

This is my go to place for subs when I'm working or out and about. Great subs made to order at very reasonable prices. The only thing is that you have to run across seventh Avenue to get to it before you get run over by traffic. Maybe that's why it's called "subs on the run!" read more

No lie, the best subs in all of Miami-Dade. Can't miss my cheesesteak every time I leave UMH, always a line but it moves fast. Everyone lines up for a sub, construction workers and CEO's, civil servants and truck drivers. And it's where the cops choose to eat, so you know it's good. read more

Subs On The Run - The bread is so fresh and soft.. impressive! - Sandwiches Near Me - Miami, Florida

Several Miami locals have named this spot the "best subs in the city." I quickly stopped by to grab a buffalo chicken sub. There is a huge menu to choose from! You can watch them cook your protein and build your sub in front of you. However, their toppings are limited and you occasionally have to raise your voice to be heard over all the cooking commotion. My sub was so saucy that the bread was wet by the time I got home. The sub was pretty salty, so I wish there were more vegetables to balance it out. I would definitely come again, but might get something else on the menu! read more

Great spot to grab a sandwich for lunch. There are usually long lines (20+ minute wait) during lunch hour. That having been said, when it is your turn, they do everything they can to get you exactly what you want as quickly as possible. Very friendly and energetic staff make it worth your time. Lots of tasty options, and ALL at very reasonable prices. read more

I remember being so fearful taking care of my covid patients. frightening to us all. but knowing I would swing by and grab a delicious sub by Albi kind of made the day worth showing up for. This is one of those family oriented hole in a wall places you run into with great food. Subs on the run has been around for as long as I can remember. Anything you get from breakfast egg sandwiches to classic steak and cheese is delicious. Made to order right in front of you. Depending on the time you might have a bit of a wait but not that long considering that the food is made to order. Great staff and great service. Good subs place in Allapattah between Wynwood border lines. A must try if you're in the area looking for good cheap food. read more

One of my favorite spots for a quick bite to eat at a reasonable price for subs and salads.

We visited this when craving for subs. Always trying to find local subs shop rather than going to franchise ones. This place is legit and great subs. We ordered the breakfast egg and cheese sub and the jerk chicken sub. The portion is super generous and tasted great. The ambience is not that great but most of them seemed to be taking to go. The coffee was super good and a surprisingly for a subs place. read more

Wow don't even know where to start. Well let's talk customer service. This business hits it out of the park when it comes to customer service. They truly do go above and beyond for there customers. As for the food it was amazing. A couple of my co workers and I ordered from here and everyone loved it. From the salads to there craft subs. They are killing the competition. The bread on the subs is so soft and delicious you have to try it. We work in brickell so everything around here is overpriced and having this business close to us to be able to order quality food at a great price is key for us. They definitely earned our business. Albert knows his stuff and you can tell he knows how to operate this business! Keep up the good work. Give this place a try if you want phenomenal food at a great price. read more

I've been going to Subs on the Run since they were in Dominion Towers on 14th St. The steak and cheese has always been my favorite and it's a must try. They get SUPER busy around lunchtime so try to avoid going between 12pm-2pm or you'll run into a line of 15-25 people waiting for a sub. Unfortunately, when it's busy like this, they also don't answer the phone for pick-up orders. The good news is the food is delicious, inexpensive, and somewhat quick if you don't run into one of those lines I just mentioned. They don't have a to-go menu which is strange for any restaurant offering takeout, and the menu they have online does not have updated prices. It's a local place that any and everyone in the area has heard about, and it's worth trying. Disclaimer: I've only ever eaten the steak and cheese, but it's one of the better steak and cheese subs I've had in Miami. read more

Subs On The Run - The menu circa 12/2019 - Sandwiches Near Me - Miami, Florida

Moderately priced decent food. Set up like a classic east coast sub shop. The service was fair, not outstanding, and not over the top. It seems like they've had some challenges with certain customers based on some of the signs they have posted. Overall it's a good option in lieu of other options for east coast style subs. I had the cheesesteak, which was ok. read more
