Excellent service! Beautiful fancy and swanky ambiance but the staff was far from pretentious. They were so welcoming of our two year old toddler, especially our server Carol and the busser (I didn't catch his name). The food was yummy, and left me curious to taste their other dishes as well. I'd return if ever in the area. They played Frank Sinatra style music in the background -- very fitting for the feel of the place.

This was a delicious Italian meal while staying in Vancouver! The service was consistent and they were able to accommodate my party which changed size several times. We ordered the chicken, brussel sprouts and lamb ragu pasta. The pasta and chicken were the highlights. The Brussels sprouts could have had a little more flavor and crispiness. The setting was cute - I didn't realize it was in a hotel until we got there.

C|prime did an amazing job in planning the menu for Dine Out Vancouver. I have to say hands down easily win over all the big name restaurants in Vancouver. The restaurant ambiance is upscale, high-end, romantic and ofc on point Italiano. We were seated at the prime spot of the restaurant, where we can see every chef putting all their dedication and precisely put your food together on your plate. I don't have to tell you how good the food is, the pix tell you all about it. I only wish these dishes are on their regular menu.

I ended up having breakfast 5 days in a row here and getting lunch to-go on my final day in Vancouver because this restaurant was located in the lobby of the hotel I was staying at, and my hotel stay came with complimentary breakfast, courtesy of C Prime. Every meal we had here was fantastic and the service impeccable. Yes, this restaurant is definitely on the pricier side, but the ambiance, service, food, and presentation justify the costs, especially for special occasions. The breakfast menu is not extensive but still has enough variety. Our favorites were the blueberry pancakes with lemon curd and cream, the smoked salmon bagels, the steak and eggs, and the Italian baked eggs with burrata and pesto. The avocado toast was surprisingly a weak link - I'd avoid that in the future. Overall, our long relaxed breakfasts at C Prime were a highlight of our Vancouver vacation and an experience I look forward to recreating whenever I visit Vancouver next.

Came on a Saturday for brunch. The restaurant was mostly empty. Their prices for brunch are very reasonable. I had the chicken and waffles. The waffles were definitely not my cup of tea. The were really strong on the cinnamon flavour and also the batter was overly wet and not fluffy at all. The chicken was crispy and not dry. Well seasoned but didn't go well with the waffles. The eggs were well poached. If you are looking for a quiet and cheaper brunch in downtown then this is the place. They have a reasonably big menu for brunch.

Great service, nice big room for 11 of us! So private. The starters Antipasti are great! Special the Beet & Ricotta salad and Buratta!

Good food good experience here. A lot of choices for the steak and it was superb cooked to perfection. The tuna tartare with bone marrow was great. The mac and cheese was truly amazing! I love it so much. The tiramisu was a great show and was really good too. I definitely recommend getting the tiramisu with the cream complements the bitterness of the coffee so it was made to perfection. Definitely recommend the place!

We came here for the Sunday brunch buffet and found the food to be very mediocre. The hot items were all lukewarm and not very flavorful. The pancakes and waffles were mushy and terrible. We think these may be the worst pancakes we've ever eaten. The roast beef was not great. The only thing that tasted good was the dessert. The cheesecake and the macaroons were moist and fresh. I'd rather spend more for other hotel buffets at H2 or Oceans 999 so I will not be back for the buffet. The buffet runs from 11am to 2pm for $28.

Pricy, but very good..their steak is delicious. Beautiful atmosphere. That's why you are paying a high price for their food. Great for a date

Came here for our anniversary and was quite impressed. Firstly, our server was amazing, Julia I think was her name. She did a great job, her timing was always perfect and gave great recommendations! Now the food. To eat, we ordered the lobster rolls, oysters, Waygu strip, a tenderloin steak and the truffle pasta. Absolutely zero complaints, everything was very good, but my Waygu steak was the winner for sure, super flavourful and almost melts in your mouth. The truffle pasta was a close second, so much rich truffle flavour which I loved. Overall a great experience, food was excellent, service was perfect. I'd give C Prime a well deserved 9/10.

The restaurant is located next to a fire station, sushi takeout and indoor bike gym. You can park in the underground pay lot shared between a hotel and public. The restaurant interior is pleasant and inviting, like dining in a rustic mansion. Restrooms are located on the upper level. The service was great and food was excellent overall - just one minor ding. Overall 4 stars. 1. Absolutely share the Octopus Mosaic, a carpaccio-preparation of paper-thin octopus fused together like chain mail armor, and bursting with flavor from the limoncello dressing. High protein and low carb too (5 stars) 2. Romaine salad was fresh and had light dressing with a quail egg snuck underneath. (4 stars) 3. No kid's menu here but they do offer half-sized entree portions with modifications. We got the rigatoni with butter parmesan and our son eventually ate half of it. He was probably still full from lunch. 4. The lobster-prosciutto stuffed chicken breast was skin-on and cooked perfectly. Very hearty dish, with veggies and gnocchi to add some carbs for balance. 5. Wife got the Branzino filet in Veloute sauce. Fish was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The minor ding is that a few hours after dinner my wife was getting super thirsty. It was either dehydration or maybe there was more sodium than expected. Vietnamese fish sauce has a similar effect on her. Anyways, it was an excellent dish when we ate it. Also, they had this awesome beet puree on the side which our son loved. He eventually ate some of my chicken when slathered with the beet puree. Kids and their quirky appetites...

I'm a tourist in Vancouver and I am so devastated that I cannot take Robba Da Matti home with me…read more Before we get to the good stuff, let's start with the ambiance. I sat inside and the felt like I was in a cozy Italian cafe. Light music, warm lighting, immaculate vibes. The service is incredible. The two servers on tonight made sure that our glass of water was full throughout the meal. Now the food. THE FOOD. Started off with the sourdough bread and an order of meatballs. The sourdough was hot and soft but held its shape when dipping into olive oil and vinegar or when using to scoop sauce off a plate. The meatballs were tender and fresh. There was a bit of a wait between the appetizers and entrees (this is NOT a detriment, just bear with me), and when we got our pastas, they were the freshest I've had in a long time. The sign in front of the restaurant advertised fresh pasta and did NOT disappoint. We ordered the pesto dish with chicken and the gnocchi with chicken and both dishes were INCREDIBLE!! Absolutely blew us away. Finished off the meal with a lemoncello shot and it went down so smooth, I wouldn't have realized it had alcohol in it if I didn't know that beforehand. Gastown lured us in, but when we return, it will be for Robba Da Matti.

We absolutely loved their house-made pasta during that visit, so we knew we had to return and explore more of the menu. Ambiance - 4/5 One of the things we appreciate most about this restaurant is the outdoor seating. On a beautiful day, it's a wonderful place to enjoy a meal, especially if you're dining with a dog. Being able to relax outside with our pup made for a very enjoyable experience. Service - 3/5 Service was friendly, but not quite as attentive as during our previous visit. Our server was pleasant, though there were a few missed opportunities to enhance the experience. For example, we weren't informed that alcohol could not be served in the outdoor dining area until after we had already started looking at the drink menu while we were in the middle of dining. Food - 4/5 The highlight of this restaurant continues to be its house-made pasta. The texture is wonderfully chewy and perfectly cooked, giving each dish a freshness that's difficult to find elsewhere. This visit, we tried the mushroom tagliatelle with truffle rosé sauce. While the description sounded incredible, the dish didn't quite live up to our expectations. It was enjoyable, but we still preferred the bolognese from our previous visit and cacio e pepe from this visit, both of which showcased the pasta more effectively. We also ordered the gnocchi, which was well prepared and satisfying to certain extent, but it didn't surpass our favorite one from San Francisco. The pesto sauce was just okay. If we order the gnocchi again, we'd likely try it with a tomato-based sauce instead. Overall Value - 4/5 This restaurant offers excellent value, particularly for pasta lovers. The quality of the house-made pasta alone makes it worth a visit, and there are still several dishes on the menu we're eager to try. We're already looking forward to returning and exploring more of what the kitchen has to offer.

When I arrived, I was told that I hadn't booked an outdoor table and that I would have to wait if I wanted to be seated with my dog. What made the situation especially frustrating was that there were several tables available. There were three four-person tables occupied by only two people each, and they had literally just sat down and still had their menus. I asked if it would be possible to separate one of the tables, but the host immediately said no because they were "eating dinner." They clearly hadn't started their meal yet. She even mentioned that the tables would normally be separated, but that it was "too late" to do it now. Unfortunately, I was in a rush and couldn't wait, so I had to leave without dining. What disappointed me most wasn't just the seating issue, but the host's attitude. Her facial expressions and tone were dismissive and made me feel like I was being unreasonable for simply asking a question. Overall, it was a really disappointing and disrespectful experience. Good customer service is about trying to find solutions, not making guests feel unwelcome. Based on this experience, I won't be returning and won't be recommending Tavola to my friends.

For our mains, the osso buco was incredibly tender and comforting, with deep, savory flavors that made it a standout dish. There was also bone marrow which was a plus! Our favourite was the duck liver and the ricotta & pancetta. We didn't like the focaccia at all. The bread felt doughy and under baked. The tuna cicchetti was a chopped raw tuna with a spicy aioli on top. It wasn't our cup of tea For the cicchetti, the flavours were okay but I felt like the biscuit or bread on the bottom was too crispy and didn't hold the toppings well. We had recently come back from Venice and they didn't remind us of the cicchetti in venice at all. It was more like a cracker with toppings on top. The cracker also got soggy quite quickly (especially under the duck liver one). I would only get these again if they changed the bread underneath. We were curious about the pasta so we decided to get the bigoli con anatra. The duck didn't have a prominent duck flavour nor did the truffle. But the pasta itself was the saving grace. It had that snap that you would find in pastas in Italy but it was missing the chew. I liked the cheese and the fried basil that they used in this dish. Could have done with more of the basil to give it more lightness. The drinks were passable. The espresso martini wasn't smooth enough. The blueberry negroni sour lacked blueberry flavour but was strong enough for me. Service was really good and fast. Overall the food was okay.
