Went there for a special occasion. Located inside a hotel, it is quite spacious and not difficult to get to. Surprisingly not crowded at all. We ordered a porterhouse, Italian style with plenty of herbs, with deep fried rice balls, spicy pasta, potato pave, and beef carpaccio. All the side dishes tasted good. Nothing special but taste was nice. We were disappointed that they overcooked the steak, the one thing we came here for. Could have done a better job to not waste the precious ingredient. They were so welcoming of our two year old toddler, especially our server Carol and the busser (I didn't catch his name). The food was yummy, and left me curious to taste their other dishes as well. C|prime did an amazing job in planning the menu for Dine Out Vancouver. I have to say hands down easily win over all the big name restaurants in Vancouver. The restaurant ambiance is upscale, high-end, romantic and ofc on point Italiano. We were seated at the prime spot of the restaurant, where we can see every chef putting all their dedication and precisely put your food together on your plate. I ended up having breakfast 5 days in a row here and getting lunch to-go on my final day in Vancouver because this restaurant was located in the lobby of the hotel I was staying at, and my hotel stay came with complimentary breakfast, courtesy of C Prime. Every meal we had here was fantastic and the service impeccable. Yes, this restaurant is definitely on the pricier side, but the ambiance, service, food, and presentation justify the costs, especially for special occasions. The breakfast menu is not extensive but still has enough variety. Our favorites were the blueberry pancakes with lemon curd and cream, the smoked salmon bagels, the steak and eggs, and the Italian baked eggs with burrata and pesto. The avocado toast was surprisingly a weak link - I'd avoid that in the future. We had breakfast twice this week - very happy with what we ordered: Monday: bagel & lox and avocado toast and on Tuesday: bacon and sunny up eggs & original benny. We had dinner at the same restaurant on Sunday night and were not impressed with the food. My husband ordered the octopus appetizer. He told me it was too salty, so I tried a bite and was it ever salty! My husband always adds more salt to whatever I make at home, so for him to say the octopus was too salty was saying something. He ordered the cavatelli for his main and he also said it was too salty, but not as much as the octopus. I ordered the Rossdown chicken and the chicken was juicy and tender (excellent!) but the sauce under the meat was also too salty! The service we got was excellent, nothing to fault there. read more

We were in C Prime on Christmas Eve. We came just to have some drinks but in the end decided to have dinner. We probably weren't the easiest table! LOL. Our server Carol, was AWESOME. Good natured, professional, efficient service along with the bussers (not sure if that's what you call them these days). Matteo, the manager also excellent. He has a good staff and was very gracious. Loved the New Zealand wine we had and the Turkey was so tender and delicious. Fries were delicious too. I appreciate a place with good service so much in Vancouver, since most places here often lack it. ps just to reiterate because of the service, and the fact that we got to eat in the quiet part of the lounge, we stayed and spent more than we intended to. Came on a Saturday for brunch. The restaurant was mostly empty. Their prices for brunch are very reasonable. I had the chicken and waffles. The waffles were definitely not my cup of tea. The were really strong on the cinnamon flavour and also the batter was overly wet and not fluffy at all. The chicken was crispy and not dry. Well seasoned but didn't go well with the waffles. We made a reservation online days prior. We were not greeted by reception at all. He remained on the phone and ignored us. We were seated and it took 15 mins before we received waters. Then another while before they took our order. The tables around us had old food and had not been bussed. The atmosphere was nice but the unbussed tables really were kind of strange. Good food good experience here. A lot of choices for the steak and it was superb cooked to perfection. The tuna tartare with bone marrow was great. The mac and cheese was truly amazing! I love it so much. The tiramisu was a great show and was really good too. Ordered the grilled octopus for starters, a bit tough cooked too long I'd say. Then the pistachio mint crusted rack of lamb - perfect mid rare. We came here for the Sunday brunch buffet and found the food to be very mediocre. The hot items were all lukewarm and not very flavorful. The pancakes and waffles were mushy and terrible. We think these may be the worst pancakes we've ever eaten. The roast beef was not great. The only thing that tasted good was the dessert. The cheesecake and the macaroons were moist and fresh. Came here for our anniversary and was quite impressed. Firstly, our server was amazing, Julia I think was her name. She did a great job, her timing was always perfect and gave great recommendations! Now the food. To eat, we ordered the lobster rolls, oysters, Waygu strip, a tenderloin steak and the truffle pasta. Absolutely zero complaints, everything was very good, but my Waygu steak was the winner for sure, super flavourful and almost melts in your mouth. The truffle pasta was a close second, so much rich truffle flavour which I loved. Overall a great experience, food was excellent, service was perfect. I was super excited to try this place. After living in hotels for the last 3 months due to a certain Moore and Russel not being able to install a heat pump without completely damaging my home, I was ready for some good food. I asked the server about the steaks and I was excited to see such a huge variety. I ordered the sirloin as I wanted that nice fatty edge, but it is not a true sirloin steak, it had no fat, and was a bit tough. We ordered bread service which is a brioche and seasoned butter, macaroni and cheese, the chefs made us a spaghetti and tomato sauce for our baby, crab tortellini, and the hamburger. The butter had giant salt chunks in it which took away from the flavouring so all you can taste is salt. The steak was cooked properly, but it was a tough piece of meat. The spaghetti was nice, and I do appreciate the chef making it for us. The max and cheese was good, but the French fries were extra salty. Service on the other hand was crap. We saw our server when we got our plates then we never saw him again. I asked two different servers to have our left overs packed to go and it was the third server that did it for us. I let the manager know that I was not happy with the food and the service and she was going to take care of us, but I ate the food so I pay for the food. All and all it was super disappointing. I came here for dineout last year and was enticed by the wagyu steak they had as the entree. For the appetizer, I chose calamari and a cheesecake for dessert. In general, the food seemed just average to me and I even think the wagyu steak could have tasted better if treated differently. Brunch was not good. Three things to note: 1) I am a trained chef 2) I am not a picky eater 3) I go out for brunch every Saturday. I ordered the steak and eggs and the steak was terrible tasting. It tasted like it had gone off. Didn't say anything to the server as I couldn't really care, but just finish the other bits of the meal and left. This place puts on a good show with no substance. I got the Pappardelle ($22) and the truffle flavour was pretty strong, there were different types mushrooms too. The one thing is that the pasta was softer than al dente. There was a good amount of lobster in the Lobster Risotto ($32) but not much in the Cioppino ($37). Started with the Dungeness Crab Cake with Lemon Aloli. It was very fresh and full of crab meat. Really very good. Shared two main dishes; an 8oz Wagyu Ribeye steak cooked medium rare and a Lobster Ravioli in a Vodka and Tomato Cream. We come for their amazing boozy Sunday brunches (eggs bennys are to die for) and fabulous dinners. I don't eat meat but my friends say it's the best steak in Vancouver and very well priced. I order the crab tortellini every time and it is devine! The wine selection is definitely a 10/10 with a fabulous selection that is very well priced. Went there last evening for an anniversary dinner. The experience was excellent. The food was on the pricey side, but was offset by the most reasonable prices for wine i have seen in any restaurant. The wine list is extensive and the servers are very well educated and able to speak knowledgeably and make good pairing recommendations. The Manager, Tony, also took the time to speak with us and gave us a little something extra to help us celebrate. Our server, Riley was also excellent. The atmosphere is comfortable and the music was subdued, which enables guests to have a decent conversation without having to speak loudly. Even though we were here for dineout, I was pleasantly surprised to find out we would still get complimentary bread. The bread came out still a bit warm with olives, salt, olive oil, and balsamic. They were even kind enough to offer us more bread since we finished the first round of bread. For my appetizer, I had the stuffed portobello mushroom. It was very creamy and had flavour reminiscent of a cream of mushroom soup. The wagyu was the main reason we came here for dineout. I was a bit disappointed with this because I didn't find it to be as tender and fatty. It was actually quite difficult to cut through the piece of meat. The dessert I chose was the bread pudding. It was pretty good, but it was a bit awkward to eat it on such a large plate. I wish it was in a bowl so it would be easier to scoop with the ice cream. Overall, the food was alright, but the service was better. I don't know how accurate the food from dineout represents the restaurant for their regular food. But I left feeling full. read more

This is by far the longest review I've ever written on Yelp. I've been using Yelp for years. Let me start off by saying, service is a 2 out of 5 stars. The restaurant is located in the Century Plaza Hotel. By booking hotel stays, I was given 3 $25 vouchers that I could use on this restaurant. Due to the service on the first day, I didn't even want to go back by the second or third day. My husband insisted that we go because we only end up paying a few dollars on a meal for two and he's all about taking advantage of saving money. Here's a summary of the three days at this restaurant. Day 1: We were served by an older gentleman. We did not feel welcomed because of his face expression and how monotoned he sounded throughout the whole time we were there. We even tried to start a conversation with the man, but it seems like he didn't want to engage back. However, this did not bother us just yet. When we sat down, the first thing he asked us was if we were using a voucher. That was fine. With our voucher applied, we ended up only paying $10. I told my husband to tip the guy 20% of what the entire bill was (voucher included). The waiter came to our table with a credit card machine and initiated the payment. Once that was complete, the waiter looked down at me awkwardly and walked away. I thought he was going to say thank you or have a great day or something, but he just gave me an awkward stare and walked off. That was when my husband and I started to piece everything together. We decided to look this place up on Yelp and we saw similar reviews about the service here. Day 2: I didn't feel like eating here, but thought I should give it another try. Maybe we would get a different waiter and our experience will be different from the previous day. Our waiter was a younger gentleman. I felt more comfortable as we were greeted with smiles. He was even nice enough to ask how I wanted my eggs cooked. At the end of our meal, my husband presented the voucher. In a rude tone of voice, his response was, "You know you're supposed to give this to me at the time of order." Uh, excuse me sir, we didn't know we were supposed to. We forgot and why does it even matter when we presented the voucher?! I got uncomfortable again so I lied to my husband and told him I'm going to use the bathroom in our hotel room to avoid this awkwardness, while he waited to pay for our meal. Day 3: I really do not want to eat there this time! I told my husband to go eat by himself and I'll wait upstairs. He made me go of course. He said it's our last voucher and our last day in Vancouver so why not. This time our waiter was a woman. She was really nice. I felt welcomed. She was polite throughout our time there. I loved her service (or I thought I did). This time, we made sure to inform her of our voucher before we ordered. Everything went well until the end. We made our payment on the little credit card machine. This time, my husband tipped her 30% of what the bill was supposed to be. He tipped her 30% because she was way better than the previous waiters that we had. Upon payment completion, we looked up at her expecting her to say thanks and have a great day or something, but she just walked away. There was no smile or no acknowledgement. I immediately felt uncomfortable again and got out of there as soon as I could. I didn't say anything about her attitude until my husband mentioned it in the elevator. That's how I knew, he felt the same way too and it's not just me being picky. Food quality: I had the salmon Benedict 3 days in a row. It was pretty good compared to other bene's that I've had. The hollandaise sauce actually had flavor. The English muffins were a bit over toasted. My husband had the pancakes with Nutella. It was delicious as well except that it was overly priced since it was just the pancakes with no other sides. The only time we used the vouchers was during breakfast. We went to the bar once one evening. Bartender was friendly and informative of the different types of drinks. Overall, I feel that waiters/waitresses at this restaurant should get a little bit more training on customer service and etiquette. It seems like once they knew we were going to use a voucher, the service provided changed. I could be wrong, but that's how I felt. With the fair and generous amount of gratuity my husband gave, they should at least acknowledged that part, but instead they made us feel uncomfortable and regret that we even gave that amount. I've been to restaurants that didn't provide good service before but I've never been to one that made me want to get out of there as quick as possible. read more

My third time coming back to C Prime for dinner... And the only reason why I came back is because I didn't wanna waste the two 25-dollar vouchers offered by the hotel. I came in with a friend and we ordered a Wagyu steak, a glass of wine and truffle fries ... Again, we came in just to use the vouchers so we didn't order much... and guess what, we were not treated as other customers who were sitting next to us. No appetizer bread was brought to our table (we had the bread last time we were here using the vouchers but we ordered a little more). And the servers were only running around to serve other tables - No one even cared that my glass of water was almost empty for an hour... Litterally our table was invisible the whole time... I was too nice to even leave tips for the bad service they got! Horrible service!! I don't know how they trained their staff but this is unacceptable!!! I have money to spend, but definitely not here at C Prime! Send your staff to Miku sushi across from Canada Place and watch how they serve their customers! I paid almost $300 for a meal there happily because their service and food quality are just excellent!! Here??? Never coming back even if I was offered a thousand free meals!!! DINE OUT 2019 Decided to come here because it was on the list of "best value for your money". And I have to say I was pretty surprised how tasty and filling everything was. I came with a group of 8 and it was actually quite dead on a Friday night. I'm not complaining since our food came out pretty fast. $35 for a 3 course meal was totally worth it! We first got served some baguette with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The first course: Calamari | Salt & pepper Squid + Lemon Aioli. Man this was so good. Perfectly crisp and the aioli wasn't overpowering. Second course: Squash Gnocchi + Truffle-Porcini Cream. I was the only person that didn't get Wagyu as my second course but I'm so glad I chose this! The gnocchi was packed with flavour, super soft and light. The cream sauce made the dish even more delicious. It was more than I expected so I ended up sharing with my table. Dessert: Chocolate Mousse Cake + Salted Caramel + Bourbon Gelato. This really made my whole meal. A bit too sweet for me but I didn't let it go to waste. It was so good!! Our dinner was fantastic!
