Honestly I was excited to see all you can eat words on menu. So I asked what fishes I can have. The server told me only Pollack! Glad I didn't order it. Instead of that, I had 1 pc of cod fish a d chips and seafood chowder. Cod was medicore. Coleslaw was thick and long cut. Interesting. Chowder was perfect for cold rainy day. I wished less potatoes and more seafood. Overall good balance and delicious.

I had a craving for fish and chips! This place can definitely satisfy your cravings! I like how crispy their fish is, the batter is pretty good and the pieces are reasonably sized! The chips/fries could use more seasoning like salt and I like to add vinegar. Also tartar sauce and ketchup bottles on the side for us to use freely was nice. With the all you can eat fish and chips deal it's $16.99 per person and comes with bottomless pop. I got root beer to drink and it's quite sweet, I got accustomed to the sweetness of it and actually liked it a lot more by the end, also the staff is so accommodating with refills, they just gave us pitcher on the side and made sure there was always pop! The fish was really good in the beginning but by the end it did get quite oily. That's the thing about all you can eat, that's my fill of fish and chips for a while!

During my recent visit to C-Lovers near Coquitlam Center, I had a very disappointing experience. Here are the reasons why I wouldn't recommend this restaurant: Upon entering, I noticed a rather large sign that stated 2 or less to sit at tiny tables. This type of behavior from a restaurant was new to me. It seems they had only 3 people in the restaurant when I visited but are enforcing this rule. When I ordered their fish, it was mostly batter with barely any fish and small pieces. This was very disappointing and unexpected. They only had one waitress who didn't seem to want to be there. This made the service slow and unenjoyable. It seems they have high prices for halibut compared to their competitors. They charge over 30 dollars for 2 pieces that are only 4 oz, whereas the competition charges 25 for 6 oz pieces. Based on my experience, I wouldn't go back to C-Lovers near Coquitlam Center and wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for quality seafood and good service

If you have never heard of c lovers before, i have been coming here for years for the ayce fish and chips. For only $17.99, you can get all you can eat fish (pollock) and chips (fries) with unlimited soda. Nonetheless, you can also get different varieties of fish and chips here such as cod, halibut, salmon, prawns and etc. Recommended to come for some ayce fish and chips! Cheers!

Overall good food and great service! Went in for lunch, had very reasonable prices for the amount of food you got. The fish and chips were delicious, definitely a place to eat if you are craving. The waitress was very nice and constantly came back to check on us. Will be visiting again soon.

Yummy! We got the dinner platter for 2 and it was worth it. Their deep fried shrimps, cod and onion rings were yummy. Coleslaw was good too and their dipping sauces. Service was great and fast. Will be back again:)

    Review Highlights - C-Lovers Fish & Chips

To be honest, I've gone to some fish and chips places in the lower mainland and had to dab the fish with a napkin to take off the oil.

Interior was quaint and well decorated. Outside patio was cozy and delightful in the nice weather. I ordered a ling cod and chips, wifey ordered Cajun Prawn and avocado Benny. I also ordered full bowl of clam chowder to try out. The ling cod was fried perfectly , 2pc decent portion size crispy and the meat was moist. I did wish it was seasoned as the meat itself tasted bland but fresh as fish goes. Adding a bit of salt on it before dipping in the tartar sauce helped. The chips nice and crispy, soft interior and seasoned well. The coslaw was lightly dressed, I prefer a bit more dressing but it was still ok. The chowder was creamy and full of seafood. Very tasty and I probably shouldn't have gotten a full bowl as wifey couldn't help much with sharing and I was reaching capacity with the fish and chips. The sour dough bread that came with the chowder was toasted expertly as it was crispy on the exterior and still had a nice soft chew interior which i love. Wifeys Benny i didn't try so cannot attest to its taste but she seemed to enjoy it. I did eat a couple of her home style potatoes and this were crispy and soft in the middle. Very nice. The servers were excellent and very attentive, making sure we were taken care of and checked on us appropriately. Even with how busy they were i could see how they attended to everybody very well. If around the area would definitely go back. Food was pretty good, service great and atmosphere lovely.

You know the feeling of greasy aftertastes when you consume deep fried food from McDees to KFCs to any even diners, the inflammatory hotness, the inflammation in the roof of the mouth and tongue? Swollen gums? This is usually caused by poor quality ingredients or re-using of rancid oil for deep frying. Result is discomfort and or general unwellness. The reason I bring this up is, after eating at Austin's, I have zero negative aftertastes and zero signs of inflammation. For lunch I ordered the 3 piece wild cod fish and chips. The chips is nothing fancy. In fact slightly over cooked. Some on Yelp says chips is frozen-could well be?!? But the fish....the wild cod... is fantastico. Thinly battered flakey firm fish. Zero unpleasantness, zero inflammation. Which is awesome. The quality really stands out. We'll definitely come back and try the DEEP FRIED CHOCOLATE BAR!!! Yeah how crazy is that?

Restaurant was pretty quiet when we picked up our takeout & is fairly spacious size for dining in restaurant. Lots of table size options & someone with a cane can get in there if the parking curb height isn't an issue. Not sure if there's a dropped curb somewhere else. Also, not sure if the main door would be wide enough for a walker or wheelchair. Staff was friendly b & helped us realize we could order a meal that had both of what we wanted to try. Fish (the choice of cod & halibut meal) were lightly battered, flaky when eating & to me, they were large pieces. We enjoyed both enjoyed them. Fries that came with the meal were nothing special but we really enjoyed the tartar sauce. They included vinegar & ketchup as well as forks and napkins in our takeout bag. Takeout was wrapped in newspaper & fries were included with one of the fish pieces in a cardboard tray. As I haven't enjoyed fish & chips since being out on the coast in Oct, I'm not sure if that's the average pricing now but seemed a bit expensive for 2 pieces of fish (even looking at only ordering one type). Especially since there wasn't any drinks included in the meal price. Overall decent meal & did the trick to fill us up. Was nice to introduce my friend to a new meal option in his neighborhood

You get a healthy serving that's for sure. If you've been to concession stands at Vancouver Parks Board beaches, you'll recognize something here. The smell. The smell of the fish and chips. It's very similar if not the same. Interior is run of the mill. Don't expect fancy. I'd say it's 70's-80's decor. Pricing, not bad. Tartar sauce tastes like it's Miracle Whip based, but I could be wrong. The batter is very light on the fish and the chicken was very crispy. Server advised it would take 20 mins. Staff are friendly but understaffed. Once the place filled up they were swamped. Signature steamed seafood pot - definitely on the pricey side, but they don't skimp out. Special mention for the presentation. Plenty of goodies including an entire lobster, half a large octopus (tenticle/arm half), snails, oysters, scallops, prawns, and fish balls among others. Basically everything without fish. Served in a large tray (the ones seen at banquet buffets), and everything cooked in broth. This was enough to probably feed 4-5 adults (assuming average appetites). So pretty. Deep fried squid with fries - honestly this dish was meh. Basically exactly what it sounds like. Squid is tempura style. Nothing special. I'd skip this one. Bossam (pork belly wraps) - served with tofu and spicy kimchi and some vegetable (kelp?) as well. They don't really give enough wraps compared to the pork slices. Decent portion size. My friends and I gobbled this up. This place also serves makgeolli (Korean rice wine) for a very reasonable price. Goes well with the food. Overall my friends and I left happy.
