free parking around for few hours but since this is a tourist area it is hard to find one and when you are already hungry for sure you will go the pay parking area lol. This place I thought is impossible,if ypu are a heavy eater and loves fish and chips this a haven for you. Affordable place to enjoy deep fried breaded fish.In the long run who can eat morethan 3 or 4 pieces of it?? Busy time when we came the floor on the side of our table is sticky, and our table is not so clean. Wifi is free, wash room is not the cleanest place on earth. Service is actually very friendly that compensate for the sticky floor. Food wise I have no single complaint...it was good...I am very satisfied...yummy tummy happy. Guys when you are in the area give it a try...money worth....fish and chips is life ......happy eating.....

Not the best ever but still quite good. Tad bit pricey but fish was crispy and delicious and fries were tasty. Oh - get the onion rings too - sooo good. Service was really good. Nice clean restaurant. Was a great afternoon lunch. Conveniently located in beautiful Horseshoe Bay. Make a trip and enjoy the bay.

This is one of the cheapest places to get fish n chips in the lower mainland. It is also the cheapest fish n chips in horshoe bay. Service is decent and portion size is huge! This place is quieter than the pubs that serve fish and chips in terms of noise so you can actually talk to your friends while eating. The restaurant is bright and lit up with a lot of natural lighting due to all the windows. The fish and chips might not be as gourmet as the other bars around here advertise but they will do and you can't really complain for all you can eat for half the price what other places charge around here.

    AYCE Fish and Chips

I never thought I can eat so much Fried Fish at one sitting.. On a recommendation from a friend, we came here on a Sunny Saturday for lunch. We were told the AYCE Fish and Chips are good. The price is very economical $12.99 for all you can eat Fish and Chips with Bottomless Pop. Its $15.99 if you choose beer as your beverage. We were served with 6 nice pieces of crisp, lightly battered fish and crispy fries to start. AYCE Fish is not Cod or Haddock, its Pollock - a hardy white fish. They also have regular menu items with Cod, Haddock and Halibut. The staff were super friendly and refill the pop without asking. They were attentive and made sure we were happy with our meal. Large bottle of tartar sauce and ketchup were brought to the table. We did have to ask for lemon wedges as it does not come on the plate. You can also choose to add sides but the AYCE is more than enough for us. The parking is very easy around the restaurant.

We had about 45 minute before boarding the ferry to Nanaimo so we decided to have a quick bite. We ordered the 2 PC halibut and chips for $23+ and it was enough to share for both of us. It came with a good portion of coleslaw, hand cut fries, and 2 square pieces of halibut which was slightly thin but the batter was nice and crispy. We added gravy for a twoonie and a coke to wash it all down. The service was quick and we were able to walk into the ferry with time to spare! I really like the unlimited tartar sauce that they give you in a squeeze bottle and the proper portion of coleslaw. So many places will give you a little cup of tartar and you have to beg for more and maybe even get charged. The coleslaw is a crucial side dish that compliments the plate. I always feel ripped off when they give you a little metal bowl that's actually meant for dipping sauces. Also the components of coleslaw are quite inexpensive so it doesn't make sense to be stingy. C-Lovers is very generous! The decor was comfortable with some booths and tables. They have a to go order window so I'm assuming that's a big portion of their business. They also provided two different vinegars, salt/pepper, and ketchup at each table. They bring the bottle of tartar so they can keep it in the fridge until it's needed. I'll definitely be back again!

I ordered fish and chips and it was just okay. The food quality wasn't really high. It was too oily and flavourless.

Lots of customers already seated on the patio. I can honestly say they take good of you at Troll's. More than one server came by quickly to see if we wanted coffee. We didn't, but I am sure those who are gasping for their morning Joe really appreciate the prompt service. Lots of options on the menu but we both chose the two-egg breakfast ($18) with choice of egg style; bacon, sausage or ham; potatoes; two slices of whole wheat or sourdough toast. Within a very few minutes our meals arrived, fresh and hot and exactly as we ordered them. Two fried eggs over easy, sourdough buttered toast, lovely cottage fried potatoes and 4 slices of bacon! It was delicious and plentiful and very much appreciated. I wish I'd asked our server her name because she did a lovely job. Welcoming, friendly, got our order right and made sure we had what we needed. The kind of waitress who actually seems to enjoy her job and her customers. I have been to Troll's many, many times over many years and never been disappointed. Food is always good, (fresh and hot), great fish and chips, friendly service, lovely views out to Horseshoe Bay. I am so glad Troll's is there to welcome us back home or see us off on our next adventure. Great job, Troll's!

You won't find the lesser known tapas here - just the main popular ones we all know. Food Presentation: Simple, nothing crazy here. Plated with intention. Food Taste and Quality: Food came to the table hot and fresh out of the kitchen. Some of the patatas bravas were a bit undercooked - for me there was a bit too much sauce here. They also have the shishito peppers here - even though 1 out of 10 are spicy, it was more like 5 out of 10 were spicy. Luckily they were all grilled to perfection. The cod fritters were great, would order again. Portion Sizes: You'll need to order at least 5 dishes for a table of 2.
