    Connecticut roll
    Kay F.

Only open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays - their signautre dish is of course their lobster. We got a classic lobster roll and a Connecticut roll and there was a good amount of lobster on the bun. Having been to the East coast - I do have to say that the lobster doesn't quite compare but it was good for Vancouver standards. There's a good amount of seating outside and with the fast turnover, you don't need to wait long before getting a spot. Food was prepped quickly so a great place to come if you are looking for a quick bite to eat.

We came here on a Saturday late afternoon to try their lobster rolls. The place only has outdoor seating, which is completely fine to me as I have a dog and the weather is nice. Service is minimal but good. You walk up to the counter to order, they give you your food. You sit down and stuff your face. Simple. The lobster rolls are good, but I actually liked the lobster corn chowder better. Nice spot to grab a bite, and then walk over to the breweries to get a few drinks in the summer.

I came here with high expectations and left with feeling letdown. We came here early, right after it opened. Maybe that was the reason but the lobster we got were not that great. It said hot buttered lobster roll. The lobster pieces were very cold and a bit hard, like it just came out from the fridge or chiller. So it did not have the sweetness of a lobster meat. I did like the roll itself. It was not that warm either, but it had a sweet buttery taste to it. Maybe my expectations were of Luke's Lobster (NYC) where it was so good. So lesson learnt. Lower the expectation and you won't leave disappointed. I will still want to come back to try the other items like the crab and shrimp roll, chowder and rice bowl. You can also buy frozen seafood here, and they get their lobsters from Nova Scotia. Street parking is available, and there are a few patio tables for dining in. If it is a nice sunny day, it will be great to take them to Rocky Point park for a picnic. I think the take out food section is only opened Friday to Sunday.

I was originally planning to grab a bowl of noodles after dropping off some cans at Return-It, but a quick Google search revealed a lobster roll spot nearby--how could I resist? This is a lovely place with friendly staff and even friendlier customers. I came here for the lobster roll, and there was no way I was ordering anything else--though I couldn't help adding a clam chowder and a Coke. The lobster roll is generously stuffed with fresh, tasty lobster. No complaints there. The toasted bun is a nice touch, especially since they heat up the sides as well. The only thing that caught my attention was that the bun is sweet. I'm not sure if it's a tradition or their own twist, but while I do enjoy sweet buns, I feel the sweetness slightly masked the natural lobster flavor. Still, it's undeniably a high-quality roll. As for the clam chowder, it started off with a strong peppery kick, but by the time I was halfway through, I found myself really enjoying it. Overall, I'm happy to have discovered a nearby spot for lobster rolls--and they even sell fresh and frozen lobster. Definitely adding this place to my address book.

Found out about SingLobster from a community foodie group and on a beautiful fall day, we drove to Port Moody to try some of their offerings. It was a bit chilly so I opted to get their Thai Coconut curry lobster on rice and their chowder while the hubby got their lobster quesadilla. Loved my rice bowl -- such a heartwarming bowl of food would've wanted a bit more spice but it was great. My husband scarfed down his quesadilla so I'm taking that as a good sign that he enjoyed it. I ate the soup at home and it was very flavourful and tasty. Great find in the Port Moody area. They also sell live lobsters and crab. Definitely drop by!

I always wanted to try Sing Lobster and finally got a chance. It's a small stand in a parking lot of a commercial area, but there are still a few seats available. We tried their lobster roll and lobster grilled cheese, and both were very satisfying with large chunks of lobster. The flesh was fresh, tender, and well-seasoned. The grilled cheese was surprisingly not too greasy! The chowder had lots of seafood and vegetables inside. I was expecting a creamy chowder but it's still soothing to have chowder of this style.

My partner picked up a lobster chowder and lobster roll to enjoy at Rocky Point Park. The lobster chowder had a lot of chunks of seafood and vegetables, but the overall soup wasn't to my liking. It was way too smokey. The smokey flavour overpowered a lot of the more delicate flavours of the seafood inside. The lobster roll on the other hand was really good. Lots of filling with a huge lobster claw for show (the claw itself was quite dry). The roll was fresh and light, with a deliciously buttered roll to complement. Plain salted chips complemented well. Service was quick. The shop does have some outdoor patio tables but take a walk to the park to enjoy the views!
