If you like your carrot cake with a side of gaslighting…read more.. EatFresh came highly recommended, and I was genuinely looking forward to supporting a local business with a 'good reputation'. But I ended up in what I can only describe as a full-blown carrot cake standoff. I purchased a slice of carrot cake, only to discover, once home, that it contained shredded coconut. I loathe coconut. The texture is unmistakable to anyone who's ever had it (and hates it). So I drove back the next day and politely asked if I could swap it for something else, not a refund, just a coconut-free treat. What followed was like something out of a sitcom. The staff convened a mini tribunal. The cake was taken behind closed doors and inspected. I was assured that the recipe ONLY contained walnuts (and was not to believe my own eyes - and taste buds). I was even handed a new slice and told, confidently, "No coconut here." I opened the box and pointed right at the flecks of the offending ingredient. Still - the manager insisted: "That's walnut." Spoiler alert: it wasn't. The level of denial was surreal. What could've been a simple, friendly interaction instead turned defensive and weirdly authoritarian. No accountability. No flexibility. Just "take it or leave it" and I left with less respect for a business I truly wanted to support. This isn't just about taste. It's about trust. If staff don't know what's in their own products (or worse, deny what's clearly there), it raises concerns for anyone with dietary sensitivities or allergies. I've attached photos of the cake slices for reference. If you love coconut and confrontation, this might be your jam. If not....well, you've been warned.

The spicy shrimp tacos were fire . Nice and clean washroom there. Side table with all condiments and water. Really family friendly and lots of parking. Cant wait to come back!

The location is fantastic--right across from the water, making it a great place to grab a bite and enjoy the views. What I liked most was that they offer much more than just ice cream. There were plenty of food options, including salads, pastries, and sandwiches. We initially came for the ice cream and ended up trying a few other things as well. The ice cream had some unique flavors, and I chose one with caramel, which I really enjoyed. The scoop size was very generous, and the staff member helping us was incredibly sweet and friendly. We also tried a pesto salad, which was fresh and tasty. I had a sparkling wine as well, though I can't really judge it fairly since I'm not much of a wine drinker. Overall, this is a great spot for food, desserts, and waterfront views. I'd especially recommend grabbing something to go and enjoying it by the water during sunset. Definitely a place I'd visit again.

The service was incredibly kind and attentive, and the coffee was great. That said, the food fell short for us. The Hangover Cure was essentially a large bowl of potato wedges...not quite what we expected from the name. The taco salad had a beautiful presentation, but didn't fully deliver on flavor. The chilaquiles were basically dry nachos with very little sauce, and didn't capture the richness or texture I usually associate with the dish. We also ordered the breakfast burger without bacon, and were surprised to find there wasn't any sort of patty or protein substitute...it was just eggs and veggies. It would've been helpful if that had been made clear when ordering. Overall, I really wanted to love this spot because the energy and staff were lovely, but the food didn't quite match the atmosphere. Still worth checking out for coffee, snacks, and the fun shop section!
