The interior was big and cozy. The chowder came lukewarm.. And did not have much seafood in it. It was a disappointing dish as I love chowder. Halibut was pretty dry. I've had good halibut that was moist and juicy. This was not the case. Everything else just tasted meh. We ordered the halibut platter and the appetizer platter to share amongst the 3 of us. I didn't eat much as there were 2 guys; however, my stomach didn't really sit well afterwards. It can't be fried food in general as I've devoured much more fried food before and no problem. This place is doing a great job of keeping people safe during the pandemic. The blocking off of tables and opening the patio is a great start, but then you see people wiping things down and cleaning all the time, it makes you feel comfortable at a time like this. The picture I posted is of the all you can eat which was ok. The chips were great. The fish was a bit greasy. There was more batter than there was fish. My wife however ordered just a 1 piece meal and her fish was juicy and flaky and cooked perfectly. That's why I gave this 4 stars. read more

We didn't feel like driving out to Richmond for Pajo's so C-Lovers Fish & Chips was on our radar. We opted for their All-You-Can-Eat Fish & Chips with bottomless drink for $14.99! Our platters came pretty quickly, and you can see your order being fried up with the open kitchen visible. Our plates initially came with 6 pieces of freshly, battered and fried cod pieces and thick cut fries. The batter was light, golden and not saturated in oil. The cod was cod - nothing fishy here ;) The fries were hot and crispy. We got a second round of fish and ordered another 6 pieces. The service was really efficient and friendly. Overall, we were full of fish and our craving for fried foods was very much satisfied. Too bad the weather wasn't nicer, the patio area looks pretty nice for a hot day! Plenty of seating inside and free parking. Very family friendly as we saw multiple groups come in for dinner. read more

Our second time in this place and it did not disappoint. This time we tried their All You Can Eat Fish and Chips and it was so good and really worth their it. We were in disbelief at the $50 bill charged to share a single meal (for one) at a fish n chip place. We drove off saying how we could have shared a great meal from a number of dishes at the same price, at The Keg, which would've been delicious. Think about it. Nothing like the bad aftertaste of regret. I expect a great meal for $50, and this place is not. And definitely not worth the price. But the worst, to have to ask for fresh hot fries because they served barely luke-warm fries, to then discover they charged us for them. We are not going back. We choose better and spend our money enjoying a great dinner elsewhere. Maybe support one of the many independent eateries who create a great dish, for the same cost. I always go to C-Lovers but this one is a big no no. We sat down and we're not served for at least 15-20 mins, meanwhile 2 tables seated after us were. Ridiculous. We then had to tell a manager that we have yet to be served and brought water. Girl came and didn't even apologize. We then ordered 4 prawns to start (always do) and they didn't bring it out until our meals came out which took 35 minutes...it's fish and chips! Really!? Then the server then goes, we actually can't bring out any add ons as starters (never had a problem at any other c lovers). She should have told me that from the start and not have had me waiting for my starter. She then forgot our gravy and bun and butter. A bun and butter is always brought out first.. simply as it's just a bun!! But nope we waited 35 minutes for it. THEY BROUGHT US A FLIPPING HAMBURGER BUN SOGGY AND HOT. ARE YOU KIDDING!? ... this place was a joke. The 3 servers were all like 15-17 and they were so slow, the kitchen had 3 workers also and they were all just talking and not rushing at all. This is honestly the worst fish and chips I've ever had. My grandma was supposed to get mobey dicks on the beach but gramps thought let's do c lovers while I was at work. He thought they would give us a better deal. Turns out it cost more then money dicks and the food was absolute trash. Fish was dry, no taste whatsoever, batter was wet and soggy, fries where sub par, didn't even try the coleslaw because I threw half the meal out. Avoid this place at all costs! read more

If I could give more than 5 Stars i would. WOW! After searching high and low near and far for quite a few years for the best Fish and Chips my search is over. 10/10! Being part British we know our Fish N Chips. For starters i'm very picky where i eat and get grossed out really easily so before i dine anywhere i check out Fraser Health Inspection Reports to make sure nothing unhappy or reasons for me to not to go. This South Surrey location happy to see has no issues and reports are good. I have tried Fish N Chips at Granville and Vancouver Island's hotspots, as well as the famous Molly's Reach in Gibson's and the food here has them all beat. I have no affiliation with this location at all and it was our first visit and will definitely not be our last. We were a party of 3 - one Halibut dinner, one Cod dinner, one Haddock dinner, 2 orders of mushy peas, gravy and half order of onion rings. The fish was AWESOME! It was fresh and flaky - and coated in a light crispy batter and not greasy at all. Chips were big and hot and with the hot tasty gravy and salt and pepper they were perfect! Let's talk about the onion rings - best ones i've ever had - again in the same crispy non greasy batter and wishing we had got the full order rather than half (next time) Oh and of course being British we have to have mushy peas - again they were cooked perfectly and hot and i can't stop thinking about going back and getting some more of the coleslaw - i don't know how they make it but i want the recipe - crunchy, creamy, bits of green onion in it which added to the flavor. The pieces of fish were huge with a nice big helping of chips and slaw - they almost need bigger plates as there was barely room for the mushy peas. We were stufffed full but none of us dared to leave a morsal behind it was that good. Whoever they have in the kitchen please don't let them go as you have a gem on your hands and don't change a thing. Our server was very sweet and attentive. The place filled up pretty fast a we were leaving around 5:30 so it definitely seems a very popular place. Our NEW go to and i can't wait to go back - is today too soon? Thanks again! Haven't stopped thinking about my, our, experience here. I was, to say the least very pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. The food was very very good. The battered fish was golden in colour with no hint of being cooked in old oil. Chips were fresh cut and cooked to perfection. I had the cod my wife the halibut both were excellent. Service was good.
