I had a great time checking out Lee Garden for Dim Sum. The food is great, and the service is quick. I definitely would recommend checking this spot out if you're looking for some delicious Dim Sum in Coquitlam!

Dim sum place on the 2nd floor of Henderson Mall. Parking is available on the roof of said mall. The place is pretty large and modern. Nice fancy wood trim and decor. Looks great. Place is slightly understaffed. This place sure is busy, and it's easy to see why. Dim sum is fresh, and everything tasted good. Tried a pile of items and everything met expectations. Shrimp dumplings and siu mai are 4 per basket. Friends and I left happy. Recommended.

Great to have another outstanding restaurant taking over this location!! Both dim sum & dinner has been consistently high standard! Service is above average, staffs are friendly and fast to offer suggestions and dining options. Highlight items .. Crispy Skin Chicken! If you can always order a whole chicken as you will find that it will go fast ... this way you will also get a better product as half chicken when fried will be a bit dry as the juice of the chicken will evaporate faster! Fried Crab Claw withShrimp Paste .. A classics Chinese Banquet item, it has become a popular appetizer dish too, if you see this on the menu make sure you give it a try, with the sweet & sour dipping sauce the texture and flavour will ensure a good start to your meal! Plenty of free parking in the shopping complex!

Not bad; they have all my staples, but most things I found to be a bit blander compared to other dim sum restaurants (notably the Wu Gok). But keeping in mind that this particular location is really convenient for parking or transiting to. If I'm just looking for low-hassle dim sum and don't live in Vancouver, I'd definitely come back. I will also add, though the other typical items were on the blander side for my liking, the Egg yolk lava steamed bun was sublime - they did that one dish so so well, I'd say better than the average restaurant I can go to for it.

4 stars for food quality and service. Subtracted a star because it is quite pricey. I've come for both dinner and dim sum. Both experiences were good. The dim sum comes piping hot, even the fried items. The dim sum is on the small side as well. Taste is quite good otherwise. The ambience is nice, not too busy and not as crowded as before when it was Grand Palace.

From top left: siu mai, Singapore noodles, house special noodle sauce, crispy noodles, eggplant with shrimp paste, BBQ pork buns.

The other day, we did a take away from Lee Garden since they have all day dim sum and opened late. We ordered the steamed pork dumplings (siu mai), pan fried eggplant with shrimp paste, steamed BBQ pork buns (bao), Singapore sttle vermicelli and house special chow mein. Overall the meal was good and authentic. The bao and noodles were good, especially the Singapore noodles because they were extra spicy! The house noodles were packaged well because the sauce was in a different bowl while the fried noodles were in a different container to preserve some of their crispiness. On the other hand, the siu mai didn't taste like much. It tasted old like it was sitting in the steamer for awhile and all the flavour leached out. Same with the eggplant, it lacked in taste. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and will definitely order again ir even eat in.

First time trying this restaurant. It's inside the Henderson Mall, not a food court stall but a restaurant. Not bad at all although the food is a bit bland or lacking of that star that competes with the gourmet Chinese restaurants. But I have to confess that we bought take out to eat at home. Take out food usually tastes different from freshly cooked in the restaurant.

Everyone told us to eat the best Chinese food in Richmond. My friend lives in Coquitlam. I think Lee Garden Chinese seafood restaurant is very good already. The price is even better than Houston. I am very happy after this meal.

Lee Garden has always been one of my go to's. Their dishes are not greasy & always so flavourful. We'll be back for sure!

For those unfamiliar,…read morethere's an unspoken belief that if a Chinese restaurant has 3 stars on yelp, they have amazing food and substandard service. I am sad to report that this was somewhat the case. Yes, the service was substandard but the food was too :( The service was pretty typical for a Chinese restaurant. The servers are doing their jobs and don't care too much about pleasantries. My main gripe is that we all felt like the food was bland (apart from the fried string beans). We had also ordered chow mein with bokchoy and beef. They had typed in our order wrong and instead a beef brisket friedchow mein came out. We told them that the wrong order came out and they tried to convince us to keep it but it wasn't what we wanted! If you are familiar with Cantonese food, beef brisket has a VERY distinct taste. Eventually they agreed to take back the beef brisket chow mein and came out 2 minutes later with the chow mein we had originally ordered. I could taste the beef brisket sauce on it still. They had just removed the beef brisket from the noodles and replaced it with beef and bokchoy. In my opinion, they should've made us a new dish as this completely changed the taste of the dish. In terms of vibes, the restaurant looks like your typical Cantonese restaurant, the inside is a decent size. I think the clientele here leans more to the older side, not many young people seem to frequent here. Overall, I will not be coming back or ordering from here again :(

Not really an authentic Szechuan restaurant. 30 years ago, most chinese cuisines were cooked by hong kongers or south chinese people. So, most of these dishes are going to be a southern take on it. Hot and sour soup - price is awesome. $11 enough for at least 6 bowls. Souo base is missing a bit of flavor but it is jam packed with ingredients. Drunken chicken - it was ok. Little on the salty side. Shanghainese pan fried pork buns - these were probably the worst I've had. Not made in house and not properly pan fried. No juice, super dry, no fried bottom crust. Bean curd wrapped pork dim sum - surprisingly this came out last. At least 20 min has passed. This is a steamed dish but it came out with dried edges like it was sitting on a dry heater. Taste was ok. Mapo tofu - asked for extra spicy and extra numbing. Numbing was there but nowhere near real szechuan numbing. Was not spicy at all. Sauce was more oily than saucey. The price point reflects the quality. Things are either mediocre or a complete miss. Would come again to try only the better stuff. Staff was friendly. Came to try to refill the tea way more times than normal. The iron goddess tea tastes much better than a lot of dim sum places elsewhere.

For the good news: very generous portion of the thick and flavourful Sweet Corn & Chicken Soup; the wonderful surprise of biting into the dumplings and getting both the authentic taste of the pork filling and the burst of the well seasoned broth Shanghai "Xiao Long Bao" Soup Dumplings; the properly cooked with the right amount of garlic and spice Salt & Pepper Squid and; the ever reliable FR "Yang-Zhou" Style. Unfortunately, we didn't fare so well with the rest of our meal. I've always wanted to try the Dan-Dan Noodles and I even opted for the Blade-Sheared Noodles. The noodles were overdone and so soft and slimy. It also didn't help that the extremely oily peanut sauce tasted like melted store-bought peanut butter with a smattering of minced pork. It wasn't even spicy as described. We also ordered the ironically dry and plain Green Onion Beef with Black Pepper Sauce. Not sure if the sauce spilled or evaporated but the container was devoid of any liquid. If it wasn't for the wonderful baos, my revised rating would have been 2 stars. If we ever go back to Legend House, it's probably just for the dim sums otherwise I'll pass.
