Been here a handful of times - large parking space shared with other businesses - so it can get crowded on weekends and peak periods. I'm not sure how transit friendly they are, never really looked for a bus stop around here. Large seating space - and generally pretty clean - they have large windows - so plenty of natural light. Service was pretty quick and waitress was friendly - Got the Hulk burger, as it sounded pretty fun - burger was full of flavor - I never know how people eat such big burgers with their hands, so I ended up cutting it up with a fork and knife haha. A unique place kind of hidden away. It has a strange local Coquitlam people only vibe. Parking lot was packed.

This was our first time here and we were pleasantly surprised with the amazing service and good food The menu seemed to have a little bit of every type of food so I think anyone could find something they like here I have quite a few dietary restrictions that are not a choice for me and the waitress went out of her way to make sure they could accommodate them and she was more than happy to do so and to double check when I wasn't confident that the meal looks like it had the accommodations. And it in fact did. The nice thing is that I ordered the spaghetti and they actually had regular gluten-free spaghetti noodles. Pretty much every place that has a gluten-free pasta option only serves Penne. So that was actually a huge treat for me I also wasn't able to eat the beef in the marinara due to an allergy and they were also able to accommodate that So huge props to them for accommodating my various things and doing it correctly the first time and being happy to do it Everything there was super clean and when servers weren't actively helping customers, they were finding something to do or clean that seem to be valuable like washing windows or something like that which is very impressive because that's not usually the case. That's probably why the place looks so spic and span The server was always there when we needed her and all the staff seemed very happy to help and very competent The food was good. My husband ordered the Mediterranean wrap and when he added the balsamic vinaigrette it went from good to amazing. I love coming here. I am from Vancouver and sometimes I crave a family friendly, non pretentious atmosphere with good food. I came for my birthday and loved my burger. Our second visit was for Thanksgiving turkey dinner and it tasted home cooked and no dishes! A few weeks ago we had brunch and we all enjoyed our dishes. Mexican omelet was a star. My friend who lives in Coquitlam told me about The Coquitlam Grill. On Friday, they have a full rack of ribs special with spaghetti, garlic bread and Caesar salad for $16.99. You have the option to upgrade your spaghetti to lasagna but we chose not to. The ribs were fall of the bone ribs. I wish they were a bit more saucy. The ribs were delicious. They only have one flavor for the ribs and its the standard bbq flavor. The Caesar salad was my favorite. It was a good size and they were very generous with the parmesan cheese. The garlic bread was the Texan style. It was more like garlic thick bread. It was not bad. I wished it was more garlic flavored. The spaghetti was my least favorite. The sauce was cooked with beans / had the bean flavor to it. This place seems to be locals favorite. They were very busy on the night I arrived. It was a full house. I have been at this restaurant 2 times. We sat in different areas and wound up with the same waitress. She is worth the 20 to 25% tip. She extremely knowledgeable of the food being served. This is a family restaurant and big. No matter. It seems like there is a cook for every table as the food arrived in no time. The portions are large and came hot. They serve breakfast all day. I had the half ribs and lasagna. The meat just fell off the bone. The lasagna was hot which cooled down a bit while you ate the ribs. The seafood jumbalya was filled with lots of seafood. I was literally given a soup cup full of the stuff. I used about 2 tablespoons. The eggs benny was superb, I thought it was interesting that some of the salmon tasted sweet. They had the Alfredo Mushroom Chicken Penne, made with real cream, parmesan cheese, and garlic covering penne noodles and topped with grilled chicken breast and angel hair parmesan. This seemed to be a favorite place for people living in Coquitlam, it is like their "go-to" place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is like a family oriented diner, so you do see many families here with little kids. The place is spacious with 2 sections and a fairly big waiting area to sit. Service is usually good and friendly. Make payment at the cashier near the front at the end of the meal, like at IHOP. It has all day breakfast which is awesome for those who like eggs at night. There are probably specials every night though I only know of the one on Friday night -- ribs with pasta, caesar salad and garlic toast! The ribs are nice, though not always fall off the bone tender. You can upgrade the spaghetti to the lasagna (I like both versions) too. The portion is quite big and you can pack the leftover home. I struggle to finish mine, then I saw a senior pack her leftover. So I will do that in future and have it for lunch the next day. I also tried the Yankee pot roast which was good. The mashed potato was a bit gummy so that could be better. The chicken wings were also not bad. There is liver and onion on the menu. I am always intrigued by it though I generally dislike liver. It is just such a retro dish which grandma will eat. I am sure one day I will bite the bullet and just order that to try. The breakfast dishes look good too, so those will be other things for me to order in future. Parking is available out front and in the parking lot next to it. It can get hot inside when it is a sunny day though, wish they have the AC on at full blast. read more

My all-time favourite place for brunch! Prices are reasonable and portions are very filling. My favourite brunch item is the French breakfast, which comes with 2 thick slices of french toast, eggs, potatoes and your choice of bacon or sausage. I also got the Ultimate omelette as well and it was so so good! The servers here are always so friendly and service is pretty good. It can get very busy during peak hours though. There was an issue with their pos machine, the waitress noted I did not leave a tip and literally threw the receipt on the table, second time it went through and again she threw it on the table. I actually wasn't disappointed as I thought I would be. We ordered chicken and waffles and over easy eggs. The breaded fried chicken was a chicken breast. It was juicy waffles was freshly made. I'm not a big waffle fan but it was delicious. Greek egg benny: it was decent, I liked the waffle and chicken better. The poached eggs was more on the overly cooked side but still good to eat. Hash browns was cubed and made perfectly. Service was fairly quick as well. They topped off our coffees we received food less than 15-20 mins It's like a Denny's but mom and pop Denny's. I'm updating my review from 3 to 4 stars. Things have changed. The menu is still the same, but everything has been turnt up one notch. Maybe a new chef / head cook? The chicken sandwiches are so delicious. Gone are the overbattered and greasy ones, which were tasty don't get me wrong, but probably pretty unhealthy. The new chicken is lightly breaded, juicy, and flavourful. The toppings all seem improved too. I think they're using a fancier mayo even. The Coquitlam Grill is one of those great spots that you can go to on your own (they have a great little counter bar area) with your family, or with a couple of friends for a nice casual meal. Their menu is quite diverse and I think suited to pretty much anyone. I go there most often for brunch, but have also had lunch & dinner there. The portions are great - and the food is well-cooked. This is not a high-end restaurant, so don't expect fancy food, but rather, some good comfort food, with a lot of healthy options tossed in. My favourite "go to" meal is the Belgian Breakfast - a nice golden waffle served with a side of sausage or bacon and two eggs. They also have a choice of cubed or shredded hasbrowns if they come with your meal, which for me, is a nice option. I loved the cubed potatoes with my eggs benny and shredded hashbrowns with bacon & eggs. Ask for Frank's Hot Sauce, too! yum.
