This is a German breakfast place located in the industrial area. Parking is available onsite. They are closed on Sunday. The are only open for breakfast and lunch. The restaurant is a bit dated but the food here is great. We came on a Saturday at around 11am. We were lucky to find a seat. The place was very packed. You need to go up and order first and they will bring the food over. I came here with a my friend J and B. B and I ordered the German Breakfast to share. The plate was huge. It came with cured ham, sausage and bacon along with 3 scrambled eggs and cheese, pepper s and onions. It also came with a sweet pancake, lots of potatoes and 2 full slices of toast. It was enough for two people. I also got to try their schnitzel and that was really tasty. It was definitely homemade. The schnitzel was not as flat as other places I usually get them from. Good prices and big portion size. I highly recommend trying this place out.

The restaurant was full when we went on a weekend. The space was pretty small with an open kitchen. The menu was big with lots of breakfast and lunch options. We ordered the banana and blueberry pancakes and the German breakfast. The portion size was huge and the pancakes were bigger than my head. The pancakes were fluffy and not too sugary. The German breakfast came with three scrambled eggs topped with cheese and it also came with sausage, bacon and ham and a side of toast. We could definitely feed three people with two dishes. It was a good deal for the price. Would definitely return. The food came out within 10 minutes and we were finished very quickly.

This place is incredible. The meals can serve two people they give you so much food for the money. I have never seen a restaurant this generous in my entire life you could easily get one large meal and feed two comfortably.

I visited the Fraser Park Restaurant back in April and now I get the hype. Hidden in an industrial area, it feels like a true local gem that people go there on purpose, and for good reason. I went on a sunny Wednesday for my friend's birthday. We sat outside at the picnic tables out front to enjoy the weather, and I ordered the German Breakfast. I don't think I got the deluxe version with the schnitzel since I wasn't totally sure what I was ordering at the time, but now I know for next time! I also didn't realize the German Lunch is only available on Wednesdays (the same day), so I'm absolutely planning a return trip to get the full experience. Next time, I'm ordering the German Lunch with the schnitzel, no hesitation. My friend got Al's Breakfast, and both meals were massive so we had to pack up leftovers. The food was hearty and satisfying. Not gourmet, but classic comfort food that hits the spot. For the price and the portion size, it's a steal and there's something really cozy about the whole meal. The vibe is relaxed and friendly. You order and pay inside, grab your own coffee or water, and they bring the food out when it's ready. It was pretty busy when we got there, but the wait wasn't long. Staff were warm, and the decor is cute. Fraser Park is one of those places you want to tell everyone about but kind of want to keep to yourself. Already planning my Wednesday comeback.

I may be having an unpopular review...but this place is basically (to me) a diner that is cheap and portion is HUGE, but the taste is mediocre. The diner is located in an industrial area in Burnaby and its neighbors look like they're storages/warehouses. We ordered the following: 1. Germany breakfast - had a bit of everything and the portion was extremely generous. The bacons were a bit too chewy. 2. Blueberry pancake - it wasn't as good as what i had read in the reviews. Yes, the pancake was HUGE but that was about it. It was just your regular pancake that you can get anywhere. Nothing unique. 3. Soup of the day - it was minestrone and nothing special about the taste. What i found most disappointing was the German breakfast. I've had authentic German food in various parts of Germany as well as outside of BC and they were all delicious. As a result, i was very much looking forward to having Germany breakfast in Lower Mainland. The food at Fraser Park tasted nothing like what i had in Germany. It was just a lot of food for the price tag.

Hidden in a remote corner of South Burnaby, in an industrial business park is Fraser Park Restaurant, a gem of a restaurant that serves up some incredible eats for both breakfast and lunch. A word of caution: The portions here are huge, so make sure to come with an empty stomach! Featured here: German Deluxe Breakfast Al's Breakfast French Toast Quesadilla French Toast comes with 4 pieces for the full order, and 2 pieces for the half order. I opted for the half order and am ever so glad that I did as the two pieces were plenty enough already while still leaving me just enough room in my stomach to sample a few of the other foods on the table! Oh, and I absolutely loved my French Toast! Some places serve huge portions of food, but then the food itself ends up being just mediocre. Not at this place. This was one of the best French Toasts I've ever had! Even before taking one bite of it, I could already smell how good it was. I'd like to try new things on their menu whenever next I come here, but at the same time....the French Toast was just so good. It would be extremely difficult for me to resist ordering it again!  My thoughts upon seeing the German Deluxe Breakfast: "Holy mound of food Batman!" And the pancakes that came with Al's Breakfast...they were so huge that they filled the entire plate, so the bacon & scrambled eggs were served on an entirely separate plate. Oh, and the pancakes...they are the bomb as well! They were fluffy, filled with banana and soooooo good! There's a homemade hot sauce at this restaurant that is a "must try" for anyone who's a hot sauce lover!  If you're looking to skip over fancier breakfasts like croffles or eggs benedict and just want a casual place that serves up hearty, filling and tasty food then Fraser Park Restaurant has everything you need!  Service: Good Parking: Free Location: 4663 Byrne Rd., Burnaby

An interesting diner that has been around for many many years, which I only recently stumbled upon on my way to Fraser Park. We came here for early breakfast - food and service was good! Ambiance reminded me of the traditional diner - where regulars would come to read the paper and finish the crossword puzzles. It wasn't too crowded when I visited (730am on a weekday) and one can relax and catch up on good chats with pals or enjoy a hearty breakfast with easy going vibes. We ordered the sausage samplers and breakfast poutine. Portions were quite huge and we couldn't finished the poutine. Sausage sampler was yummy with 3 different kinds of authentic German sausages. Breakfast poutine was also yummy and that dish came with loads of potatoes with cheese and gravy, chopped up sausages and 2 fried eggs. Home made chili hot sauce was a great complement condiment to the potatoes. If you order coffee, there's the option of regular and hazelnut, both you can refill on your own. You can also help yourself to cold water in the fridge. There's a free parking lot on the side and outdoor seatings are available. I would definitely visit again when in the area to try their soup and beef dip for lunch or sample more breakfast dishes options such as breakfast roll or pancakes.

Fraser Park Restaurant It has been a year to visit this place for breakfast again. We always order German Deluxe Breakfast It's the regular German Breakfast (3 eggs scrambled with sauteed peppers, onion ans cheese, served with hashed brown, sausage, bacon, ham, 1 pc potato pancake and toast) plus Schnitzel and Gravy $17.95 It always comes with 1 slice of daily fruit. Today is watermelon. German breakfast is their signature, so you can't miss it. Delicious and huge portion. Soup of the Day served with Toast $5.50 Clam Chowder This soup contains of the chopped clams, tomatoes with potatoes puree and spices... Very thick texture which is not the typical white cream clam chowder. It comes with 1 slice of daily fruit . If you have a tight budget for lunch, this soup will be a good choice to fill up your stomach. I share the breakfast and soup with my bf and we both feel so full for the rest of the day.. German Breakfast

One of our favourite breakfast and brunch spots. We usually have the German Breakfast plate which includes a 3 egg scramble with cheese, three types of meat, hash browns, potato pancake, and choice of toast. We always ask for the homemade hot sauce which has a nice tangy bite. The restaurant has character with ramshackle decor, mismatched tables and chairs. It's self serve and not always the friendliest but efficient. They often run out of items which can be a disappointment. The hashbrowns are uninspiring and definitely room for improvement on this item.

Lovely no frills German breakfast diner cafe in the middle of an industrial park. If you live in the River District area, this is a nice bike ride to and from thru the Fraser foreshore park. There are picnic tables outside along with seating inside. It's seat yourself style after you order at the counter and they give you a number. It gets quite busy on the weekend so go early or on off times or weekdays. Great value for the money. Nothing extravagant or fancy or frilly. You get a mound of food if you order one of their breakfast plates. We had the German breakfast plate and the corned beef hash. Both of us had to bring it home. I seldom don't finish my brunch food but I probably got thru 1/3 of my plate. Leftovers for the next day yay! I've been told the grilled cheese sando is really good too. Definitely coming back but will have to make sure I'm prepared to be in a food coma for the afternoon

German breakfast deluxe (comes w/ pork schnitzel and gravy)
    JT C.

It's been a long time since last visited here, it seemed like time haven't been too kind cause a little facelift might be an idea to think about. Still a very casual cafeteria style breakfast brunch place located in the business district of the south Fraser river area. Here were the food we ordered; 1. German breakfast. As always, everything were fresh and tasty, but wish the bacons weren't so chewy. 2. German breakfast deluxe. It's the German breakfast with pork schnitzel and gravy. The pork schnitzel could be a little more tender and the gravy was a bit too watery. Overall, it's a pretty decent place for a hearty breakfast or brunch because they are known for their generous portions, but the schnitzel and gravy this time around could be better. If you don't mind the cafeteria style service and a very casual setting then give this place a try for some tasty and hearty breakfast.

    Corned Beef Hash with Egg

EXCELLENT service and outstanding breakfast! A small but quaint establishment with a very "homey" feel to it. Many homemade items on the menu. Breakfast was served with hearty portions. Definitely can be shared.

Decent quality, but honestly nothing really stuck out, especially for the price. This place isn't cheap. Maybe I'll try another dish at some point.

It is also a fantastic spot to work if you wanna have a café setting because their pastries and bake goods are absolutely fantastic. In fact last year for Christmas, we bought one of their Christmas cake options which proved to be super popular with the family. What I love about this location is the decor. On one side it is a simple industrial warehouse. But it has that post modern feel with all of the live plants. The live plants is what I love and the tall ceiling for the plants to fully grow. Though if they are looking for something else, which could really bring this to the top, it would be to have a fish tank. A fish and or water feature around the massive plant island in the middle of the dinning area would be chefs kiss. Of course, what about the food? From here, I find the food here is excellent. Sometimes the flavour combinations are a little weird. But that's typical for the Vancouver foodie scene. Vancouver food scene is a fusion hybrid of local ingredients mixed with traditions from cultures from other places around the world. But the bottom line is the portions are a good size. The platters in particular are large and would feed a very hungry person. You definitely get your moneys worth. You don't get much table service once you are done with your order. But that is all right because of it size and volume for the amount of people who come through. I am totally happy with the self serve station, which could be enhanced and the large setting with all of the very mature plants. If I would offer advice to anyone it would be this. Service was mostly ok but our server asked us when we were still halfway through our meals if we wanted anything else and when we said we were good, she did not come back until we flagged her down for the bill. Maybe she was new, but servers should still check on customers for refills of coffee, hot water for tea, etc. Coffee is $3.25 and I did not get a refill due to the disappearing server, so it was quite pricey for one small cup. The meals were ok but for the price, I'd sooner go elsewhere for a better overall experience.

Burnaby Mountain Clubhouse, Riverway Restaurant and Mintara currently has a new 3 course Summer…read moremenu available Wednesday to Sunday evenings for $45/person. Included is a Summer Corn salad, choice of entree, and daily dessert. I made a reservation for my Mom and I for Wednesday evening at 7pm and the restaurant was quite empty though golf course was buzzing. Pro tip: There is free parking in front of the restaurant but it's also for the golf course and is pretty busy even on a Wednesday after 7pm so plan accordingly as street parking is a bit far away. We ordered the mussels as an additional appetizer in white wine broth and also each ordered the $45 menu. We both selected the Oven Roasted Beef Striploin and for dessert there was a choice of cheesecake with caramel sauce, cinnamon cheesecake, and black forest cake. My Mom chose the black forest cake and I ordered the cinnamon cheesecake. The mussels appetizer dish was quite generous in quantity for $23 and mussels were a good size. Served with 2 slices of toast, the white wine sauce was more watery than other places but still decent. For the $45 course, the Summer Corn salad comes with artisan greens, feta, carrot, radish, tomato, red onion, orange vinaigrette. This was a refreshing light start to the meal and we both really enjoyed it. For the slow roasted beef striploin, it was served with asparagus and bell peppers, mash potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, and a red wine demi. The beef striploin was lean but not tough and was super trendy and juicy. Yorkshire pudding, which I'm usually not a fan of, was really warm and soft. Overall, a really solid dish that was generous in portion. Dessert was also solid for both the cinnamon cheesecake and black forest cake. We barely finished the dessert and both of us had leftovers of our entree to take home as we couldn't finish our food. Great value for a 3 course $45 meal for today's economy and the service was really friendly and warm.

Not just for golfers…read more Reward yourself after playing 18 holes with a meal at Burnaby Mountain Clubhouse. This restaurant is open to golfers and non-golfers alike. Stepping into BMC is like taking a time-machine back to the 1960's. Decor looks straight out of an era when Polaroid cameras ruled the photography world. The restaurant itself is moderately sized, but they were able to accommodate our party of 12. Restaurant was very dimly lit; most of the light was coming from the setting sun. The menu had as many choices as a typical White Spot. Prices were reasonable, but entrees could be upgraded which could cause prices to escalate if you weren't prudent. For example, I ordered the steak but got the lobster upgrade which raised the price by 30%. And, it was the lower-grade Caribbean lobster instead of the much juicier Atlantic lobster. It took a long time for the food to begin arriving. But, we did have a larger party that night. But, after a long wait, all our food arrived almost all at once. Presentation was good, and portion size was adequate. My steak was medium rare even though I had requested rare. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals, and a few were unable to finish their food. Service was only okay. If they weren't taking your order or delivering your food, you didn't see much of the staff. And, the restaurant wasn't exactly busy either. We did ask a server to take a group photo of our table, and they happily obliged. I'd skip the round of golf and go straight to the restaurant.
