Steak sandwich and Brussel sprouts
Holly R.

Great neighborhood restaurant. In season it's so busy that it's hard to get a reservation. On the weekday evening we were there we were able to get a quiet table inside with a great view of the outside. I had the chicken milanese. It's served over pasta with pesto sauce. The pasta was good, but the chicken while crispy on the outside was a little chewy, possibly overcooked. The steak sandwich was dry and didn't seem to have the cheese in the description. The crispy onions were very good, and despite the deficiencies, my companion ate the whole sandwich. One of the best aspects of this restaurant is the choice of sides. On this visit we enjoyed the Brussel sprouts. My other companion thought the tuna entree was nicely prepared. The server was nice, but service was a bit slow.

We were celebrating a girls reunion this Wednesday evening and we had an inside table luckily because it was a rainy night. We were happy to have Joey as our waiter. My girlfriends who are regulars here know him well. He couldn't do enough good things for us. He took special care to make sure we had the food made to our specifications. The food was good but I feel the menu needs an update with more variation. I had a chicken quinoa power bowl with avocado. I love eating healthy. On the dinners, why don't they have baked potatoes? Healthy eaters don't eat fries or buttered mashed potatoes. They never put the brick oven chicken back on the menu for years which was my favorite. Once I gave it the most incredible review, they removed it. Very disappointed with that. Otherwise, this is a nice place to eat at the Delray Marketplace.

Located at a corner of outside mall.

Pretty average place. Reasonable prices and fair choices of drinks and food. We went on Wednesday when nearby band were performing to large crowd of older people. Resturant is smartly appointed if undistinguished. Server helpful Burger was ok but string fries cold and needed replacement. I noticed another table had fries returned and replaced. Crab cakes good as was beet salad. Locations as one of 7-8 restaurants in this clean mall This place was busy at 6 when other restaurants less so This says that this maybe the popular choice in this immediate area. Looks good inside with two outdoor areas. One with fire pit to allow to people to wait in comfort for a table I suppose. Nice touch having outside bar.

Met my aunts here for a little girls' night while they were visiting from out of town. The restaurant itself is really nice and the location is great! It's in a good shopping place with lots to do. Parking can be a little tricky but thankfully there's valet. As for the food, we felt a little misled. Our waitress raved about the bacon-wrapped meatloaf and none of us typically order meatloaf, but she sold it so well that all three of us went for it. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to the hype. The meatloaf itself was a little bland and the sauce was pretty overpowering. It wasn't bad, but it just wasn't what we were hoping for. The brussels sprouts starter, however, was VERY good I'd definitely go back to try something else but I'll be giving the meatloaf a pass next time. Although our waitress didn't dazzle us with a food recommendation, she was FANTASTIC. Very kind and attentive to all our needs.

UPDATE** The restaurant reached out and they were sorry for our experience. *Original Review. I honestly expected a better dining experience with our friends but our server, Jacob, was not very good. I wish he would have checked what he delivered to the table which was not exactly what we ordered. He seemed really discombobulated today. To start, we were 3 couples having brunch. We had asked for our checks to be separated before we ordered due to some couples who were drinking and some were not. When it came time to pay, he had some excuse why it was one bill that he would separate when we took out our credit cards only to find out that he kept messing up the bill and had to redo it two times which frustrated us to have to get a charge refund and then be recharged. In the beginning I had asked for a martini on the rocks and it came out as a martini in a glass which he spilled the whole walk to the table which is why I asked for it be on the rocks. Then one of the other friends in our group had asked for the ingredients in the dish she was ordering and then it was served with a sauce that was not mentioned and then it needed to go back to the kitchen. When the service is less than expected, it makes the meal experience less than pleasant. The restaurant was not busy and eventhough we made a reservation, it really was not needed. I was surprised to be given a weekend brunch menu and the regular lunch menu on a Sunday at noon, where the website makes it seem like the brunch menu is the only menu available on the weekend. We ordered the Salmon-Shrimp Burger that was very good and the Greek Chicken Wrap from the brunch menu that was a very generous portion. The Crustless Quiche and the Avocado Toast were also flavorful and the Waffles with Berries seemed like a good portion too. I would return for another time to try other menu items as the food was good but I would be sure to have a different server.

Went here on a date for a late lunch... Our server, Joey was very attentive... We sat outside... food and service were good except for the flies... There were lots of flies flying around the table on my food and on my shoulders... I was surprised they didn't have those little fans on the table to get the flies away.. other than the flies. Everything was good... But next time I come, I'm sitting indoors.

I stand my previous reviews that I don't understand the attraction to this restaurant. But it's always on the must go to list whenever I'm in town because it's one of parents' favorite restaurants and has been for many, many years. Burger always falls flat for me. Onion soup dumplings weren't liked by my husband. But since majority rules when it comes to B&M, it is definitely a great place for Floridians. ....

Wow - - if you read my last review you will see that I loved coming here for a special lunch. When I came then, they had a fantastic lunch special - -sooooooooo several of my friends and I decided to go back to celebrate another birthday. We were absolutely shocked to learn that they no longer have ANY lunch special. The waiter stated that there is a new chef and he took the specials off of the menu. The waiter tried very hard to be accomodating - he was very sweet. Back to full price! I ordered a half sandwich with French fries well done. The French fries were wonderful last time so I was already dreaming of them. Another disappointment - - they changed the fries -- these were terrible - see in the pictures - the first one is from this time but the delicious fries that are with the hamburger were last time - -I guess I'll be searching for another place to celebrate with friends until I hear that they change things again. So disappointed.

Usually meet up with one of my friends at Burt & Max's. Great happy hour. Would sit at the bar, order some drinks and snacks. Nice ambiance to catch up with an old friend from time to time. Service was nice with friendly staff. Overall, a great experience

The iceberg lettuce with huge blue cheese and bacon pieces and skirt steak! Yummm

I needed a nice spot with good varied food and some vegetarian options for my son and his girlfriend, so I chose this beautiful comfortable restaurant in Delray. Great choice! I loved the ambiance the first time I came and I'm glad to say that it's maintained its status after many years. The menu was smaller than I remembered, but the options were varied. Only my son came so we ditched the vegetarian options (that were several) and I opted for the chicken wings in a Thai sweet sauce, and he got a burger! I thought we should get a salad, but when the orders came I ordered some celery and carrots and that was just enough for us. Both orders were delicious. The burger was juicy, the fries fresh, crispy and delicious and it also had some fried onions that looked crunchy and good: the whole dish was very appealing. My chicken wings were more than I expected! Nicely covered in the sweet and tangy very tasty sauce: loved them! The position size was abundant, so that was great as well. This time we didn't get drinks as I had a long drive back to Broward and my son was just catching a quick bite between work meetings, but their cocktails here are also very good: next time, we will certainly be stopping by again. Much to Enjoy!

Burt & Max's offers a large area to sit and enjoy a meal or find refuge in their outdoor patio which offers several bar seating, which is where we sat. Met with the GM Steve 'Buddah' Mann who is a friendly guy who runs a tight ship and knows everyone in the nearby businesses. The wine list is extensive with an ultra modern glass display full of great wines as a focal point in the restaurant. We met with the chatty bartender Joe who discussed some of the deep discounted Happy Hour eats and a few of the cocktails. We decided to order the appetizer chicken wings and a craft hazy beer from South Beach Brewing. The wings were massive and were perfectly complemented by the fresh chunky blue cheese. On Fridays between 8p - 10p they provide live music. The bathroom was modern with a separate area for baby changing, which is uncommon in men's bathrooms although helpful.

One of my favorite restaurants. Always consistent, and always great service. One of Melodie's first events as community manager was held at Burt and Max a few years ago. We had a great time. They have an outside bar which is perfect for happy hour. Great bartenders inside and outside. They also do a quarterly whiskey and cigar event , including appetizers , which are delicious. Our last visit , we had the onion soup dumplings. Amazing. I wanted to try the meatloaf , wrapped in bacon with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Loved it and took some home for lunch the next day. Just a great place to go, knowing you will enjoy your meal, enjoy a good cocktail, and get great service.

For food, we started with the fried rice, which had the perfect blend of spice and creamy texture from the fried egg resting over the rice. The Wagyu beef short rib tostadas were equally impressive, featuring a subtle barbecue sweetness that was an unexpected but delicious addition to the dish. We also tried one of the weekly specials, the Burrata Ravioli, and all I can say is that this dish was a work of art. Beautifully prepared with extravagant flavors, it featured pancetta, mushrooms, and truffle oil that complemented the dish perfectly. The atmosphere could get a little loud at times, but the overall experience exceeded my expectations. Definitely a great spot for a fun night out. .

Although it has a beautiful menu of wines and spirits, we stuck to their filtered water, and asked KC for any recommendations for lunch. He was very engaging, a wonderful communicator, and we made our selections which started with the bacon wrapped dates (YUM). Prior to my order, I mentioned a dietary restriction and KC promptly went to the kitchen to make an inquiry. I ordered the trout with lentil ragout, and my husband ordered a margarita pizza. The atmosphere was very peaceful, with unintrusive music, and we really did enjoy getting to know KC as he made sure that we were satisfied with every plate. This restaurant is upscale, yet with value pricing. Altogether, my husband and I encourage you to enjoy a lovely meal, and make sure to ask for KC! You won't be disappointed!

Also loved the atmosphere once again, it's just a very nice, open place to enjoy a meal and have a drink. We got a bunch of appetizers to start. The house made Ricotta with cracked pepper and olive oil was very delicious. I also loved the crispy zucchini slices, which were topped with peppadew peppers and a chili vinaigrette. Outstanding stuff. The seared ahi tuna was next level. The fish was fresh and beautifully seated and the mix of cucumber, aji amarillo, pineapple, cilantro and wasabi cream was sensational. One of the best dishes they make at Sixty Vines. The absolute best of the bunch was the truffle fries! They were amazing. They are basically crispy layered potatoes, almost like stacks of filo dough, fried and topped with pecorino, chives and lemon truffle cream. They were so good we ordered a second one! Considering how wonderful everything was to this point, we were expecting nothing but great things for the next course. However they completely dropped the ball and basically ruined our meal with lackluster entrees. Our party ordered the steak fries with chimichurri sauce, the double cabrenet burger, and several filet mignons. The amount of time it took to get the food was unreasonable. Once the appetizers were finished we had to wait somewhere around 20 to 25 minutes to get our mains, and the place was not that busy. I assume that the waitress just forgot or was busy with something else. As for the food, the quality of the steaks was not good all around. Everybody who got the filet mignon commented that the texture was chalky and weird. They were also all overcooked. And oddly, they decided to slice the steak before serving it, so it was very dry. Why would you pre slice a steak, all that's going to do is let the juices seep out and make the temperature drop. I honestly don't get it. The steak that came with the steak fries, I think it was a skirt steak, was also not the best cut. It was super fatty and a little chewy. The fries were good though but the meat was terrible. Finally the burger was completely overdone despite the person ordering it medium rare. Overall, not the best ending to a meal that started with such amazing dishes. Really striking contrast. And actually it made me think that I probably will not go back to Sixty Vines anytime soon. For a $350 meal they have to be doing a lot better. Dried out, overcooked steaks and burgers isn't going to cut it.
