Hey, just wanted to share my experience at Burt & Max's It was my first time there and the ambience was really nice, which I usually enjoy a lot. I had a refreshing drink to start, but when the chicken wings arrived, they were totally tasteless and the chicken itself didn't taste right. I only had a few bites before deciding to stop because I was worried it might mess up my stomach. Unfortunately, as soon as I got home, I felt sick. Honestly, I'm grateful I didn't eat the whole order because it might have been worse. Overall, the place was pretty pricey and the food definitely wasn't worth it for me. read more

The good - 1) service was pleasant and we sat at the bar. 2) the French onion dumpling (actually rate it 4 stars)... . The bad --1) The margarita pizza was under cooked and lacked any real taste. 2) the chicken in the chicken wrap had unfriendly taste. Best described --for the food we had as food quality slightly below TGIF.. with the exception of an onion soup dumplings which were good and as described. The service was the ONLY good thing about this place! Otherwise I would have given it ZERO stars. I had a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The salad portion was very small with barely any parmesan cheese. The dressing was watered down and flavorless. The chicken was dry and tasted like it was heated up in the microwave. They charged $25 for this. My friend's dish was no better. She also wasn't happy with her meal. Couldn't find parking so I had to Valet $8.00 + tip. NEVER AGAIN! RESPONSE 4/2 to the Manager: Yes, we did let the server know and his response was "I'm sorry". I completely understand that your restaurant wasn't responsible for the Valet. I want to start out saying the food was "good" but nothing special. Other than that I myself will not be back. I ordered the chicken & waffles which it was really good but for the price all you get is two chicken tenders and one waffle cut up into 4 pieces. That's a complete rip off fir the price. The same with the cornbread appetizer, I have no idea what that was. Please feel free to try this spot out and enjoy yourself, but I'm only giving it two stars for the food. We had the French onion soup dumplings and the tomato soup for appetizers, two of our favorites! The soup is also amazing with the grilled cheese. My husband had the bacon wrapped meatloaf with the BBQ sauce, this is definitely one of our regular items. I had the Crispy southern fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and seasoned green beans. B&M is a household mainstay! We always had Great meals, great service, and fantastic home made cocktails! The prices are comparable to other restaurants, however the quality is SO much better! Excellent and Wonderful. We had a party of 24 family and friends to celebrate my parents' 70th wedding anniversary. Rebecca the manager and Emilio and Lucas the servers were terrific. Communication with Rebecca made everything go smoothy. Emilio and Lucas kept the meal flow on pace. I had lunch and dinner at [Restaurant Name], and in my opinion, dinner is the better option. Lunch was okay, but nothing too special. My brother ordered a cocktail, but he ended up sending it back because he said it tasted more like juice than an alcoholic drink. I didn't try any drinks myself, so I can't say for sure. On the plus side, the calamari and shrimp appetizer were really good--definitely a highlight of the meal. If you're stopping by, I'd recommend those for sure. We came here for brunch on a Sunday and were seated outside (it was 90 degrees lol). We had an umbrella but it didn't cover all of us so after a few minutes we needed to move. We moved to the area under the patio (still outside but at least we weren't out in the sun). There were so many gnats, it was obnoxious. The food came out and was overall good. The only thing was ALL salads at the table had old lettuce. I would've given the salad a 1 star- it tasted like something I could make at home. I got the mushroom pizza and it was really good. Everyone else loved their avocado toast, cheese pizza, and eggs and bacon. The truffle fries weren't bad either but weren't crunchy (personal preference). I would recommend this spot but took off a star for service (being seated outside in the sun and then under the patio and its gnats) and one star for old lettuce. read more

We (my brother and I) went to attend an bourbon and cigar event that was to start at 6:00 pm We arrive at 5:30 pm and sat inside at the bar as it was very hot, we ordered a spinach dip and we asked to have a burger cut in half. We also ordered two old fashioned from Kaley & Kala the two bar tenders, they were both very nice. We then went outside for the event and the representative Neal from Whistle Pig was very knowledgeable and represented the brand very well. Happy hour at the bar is amazing great choices from tacos to fries edamame a mixed array of choices . Located centrally in a nice shopping center that has live music concerts . A wonderful indoor outdoor bar and great decor. The bartenders are busy but happy to get anything you need ; I did appreciate the wonderful service. We've been there twice now, so I feel confident giving Burt and Max's five stars! The menu was diverse and innovative enough to be interesting, yet had some of the typical bar food you might want or expect. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The ambiance was nothing special- pretty generic, actually- but it was comfortable for sure. We were seated promptly, the parking was convenient, the place was kid friendly, the prices were reasonable, the service was fast. Our food was cooked absolutely correctly, and our drinks were mixed just the way we wanted! Arrived on St. Paddy's day for our annual corned beef and cabbage dinner and the friendly front of house staff seated my wife and I within a few mins. The place was packed and the kitchen was humming. Our waitress arrived with a smile and immediately got our drinks order. We were ready to order when she delivered the drinks and she put it in straight away. She kept checking in every 10 mins but was not intrusive. There were a lot of patrons but we never felt squeezed in. The sound was a bit overwhelming which made it tough to have a conversation without raising your voice but overall ambiance was nice. The prices were great as well. Very affordable for the serving. We had a host of dishes at our table but the fried calamari took the cake!
