Crispy Truffle Brussels Sprouts and Truffle Mushroom Flatbread
Michelle M.

Stopped in on a Tuesday night for some dinner. The restaurant is in a corner of a quiet plaza so there was plenty of parking available. Service was very polite and attentive from start to end. We were informed the restaurant is in the middle of changing the menu and that some things were not available. Alternatives were recommended in their place. We ordered the Crispy Truffle Brussels Sprouts which were good and flavorful, although the "truffle" aspect was lacking. We also ordered the mushroom flatbread after reading some good reviews about it - it was good as well. Finally, we ordered the Asian salad with grilled chicken - it was okay, a pretty basic salad. Overall, an average restaurant.

I haven't been to this place before this was my first time I know the shopping center indoor outdoor seating. The staff was extremely helpful with the waitress, the bus boy and anybody else that worked there couldn't have been more pleasant. We had two scoops of tuna fish they were good. I am with the two scoops of tuna and some lettuce and tomato and a two slices of bread we also had the flatbread mushroom no to my taste I don't like all the cheeses that were on there, but that's me. Maybe other people do. It was a pleasant enough place to stop and have a quick lunch. Easy parking.

Dinner here tonight to celebrate my Dad's 90th birthday, along with my bonus mom, Mrs. K. and two of my Dad's best friends (who will read this and should know that they're awesome people!). The best option for a reservation was at 5:00 which worked out okay as we're early diners and as it turned out, the place didn't start to fill up until around 6:45 when we were done with our meal. A lovely menu with lots of great options for all, Mrs. K. went with the Rainbow Trout. A nice thin piece cooked perfectly and served with roasted potatoes and vegetables. She said it was excellent and delicious. I chose the Sesame Noodle Bowl with Shrimp which was a very decent portion of perfectly al dente noodles in a light sauce with six big shrimp. And yes, the heads and tails were removed because who wants to use their hands to pull the tails when you're having a fancy dinner? Service was friendly and attentive. Mrs. K's Arnold Palmer was mixed perfectly (I had a taste) and for dessert, we split a piece of carrot cake that was light and fluffy and a perfect finish. All told, a great meal and a lovely restaurant. I would love to return. [Round number review 23700 overall - 134 of 2025 - 1921 in Florida]

Jax Bistro and Bar is very good! Came at 6:15 on a Saturday without a reservation and the hostess sat us within 10 minutes outside. It was very chilly inside so glad we got to sit outside. All entrees come with either soup or salad and are around ~$30. The portions are generous and we all loved our food. I had a huge piece of trout that was cooked to perfection. Flavorful, juicy and crispy. The potatoes and veggies were buttery and seasoned well. My mom's salmon was also very good, super thick and moist. Had a very char grill flavorful though that I thought was over powering. I saw other tables receive bread but we never got any. Staff are very friendly and seem to have fun doing their job. I would definitely come back again. And I highly recommend this place, make a reservation if you can!

Happy Hour is the best around. Generous portions on happy hour or regular menu. I love a great Rubin and I found the best anywhere in south Florida. I would always order the classic made with corned beef but the pastrami version is by far the most delicious I have ever had. It's called the Rachel. The ribs fall off the bone. Portions are generous and no one goes hungry. Plenty for lunch tomorrow so please don't take my seat but come and check it out.

Friends introduced us to this restaurant and we enjoyed it very much. Varied menu and good food, plus the service is helpful and attentive. The owner even came out to greet us

Went here for happy hour. It's a good deal though I think the waitress got annoyed because we were a big group and making a bit of noise (so we did quiet down). The drinks are a good price as well as the appetizers. It is fun with a group so I hope they don't get annoyed the next time we come in here!

Good food, but don't go after 5. The bar crowd is loud to the point of getting a headache and no dinner convo.

They have a really nice outdoor seating area, complete with heaters when needed. We chose to dine inside. The vibe inside the restaurant was kind of a boho rustic feel, and I really liked it. Soft lighting and music really set the tone. We were immediately greeted by our server, Gustavo, and given our menus. We don't drink, but they had a nice selection of drinks, cocktails and spirits. We decided to start with the sweet and sour cauliflower. It was absolutely delicious! Cauliflower battered and fried and tossed in a sweet and sour sauce. For our entree we shared the 44oz Creekstone ribeye. It was served with charred broccolini and and a fried airy potato side dish that was out of this world! The steak came sliced and off the bone, so it was perfect for sharing. It was served with 3 toppings; a horseradish sauce, a balsamic glaze, and delicious mixture of sliced peppers. Our steak was cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. We did not have dessert there, as we had a birthday cake at home. And I feel remiss that I didn't even look to see what they had. Overall, it was the perfect place to have a romantic, celebratory dinner! Thanks Driftwood. *Just a Note ~ I found it odd they added a 20% tip on a 2 top table, and I was glad I noticed it on the bill before we double tipped.

A few of the things I liked.. - Fruit juice used for mixers is made in-house fresh daily. The drinks are creative and made well. - The sweet and sour cauliflower, the sliders, the chicken and dumplings. - Servers are always knowledgeable and attentive - indoor and outdoor seating with fans on a warm day. Upscale vibe with dim lighting. - plenty of parking A few I didn't.. - The fish dip was just ok - the fried part of the southern fried chicken while juicy on the inside, lacked flavor - the up charge for almond vanilla milk in the espresso martini without being told up front of the added cost -the steak tartare happy hour portion is 1 bite-sized piece. Just offer the normal sized portion for a reduced happy hour price as opposed to 1/4th the portion for 1/3rd the price. Overall I would say every experience is good but not great. I would recommend giving this restaurant a try and seeing if you agree with my review.

Another fantastic meal at Nicholson Muir. This one was a birthday celebration on the coldest night…read morein Boynton Beach in decades, around 32F. The roaring fire added ambience; it doesn't happen often in south Florida but on this "frigid" night the fire was really needed. We started at the bar with a few drinks including the Dr. No, and then moved to our table, we didn't feel rushed at all, it was Saturday night, 8:30 pm and the restaurant was quite full. I always get the wedge salad and I especially like NM's version with avocado and a thick, creamy blue cheese dressing (but not overpowering everything else). Also, their empanadas are renown and we love their chimichurri sauce. I highly recommend them. We also tried the daily pasta which was good. For mains, we really went for it with the 16 oz Ribeye, quite a large serving that we didn't finish and took home with us (see picture). The steak was pretty straight up - just a well-cooked delicious piece of meat. I had heard people rave about the veal chop so I decided to try it and was happy I did; also a rather large piece of meat (bone-in) with melted cheese and a light sauce - probably one of the best veal chops I've had (which we also took home with us). Nicholson Muir does great sides - we got the creamed spinach which was not overly creamy and the truffle fries, thin-style with a nice crunch. For dessert, the bread pudding (with a birthday candle) was very good - the ice cream portion was gone in split seconds. Excellent service with our main server and other servers attending to us making sure everything was great and delicious.

Small spot very tastefully appointed. Great food, great Service…read more Our group had empanadas, veal chop, salmon ceasar, & gnocgi. High marks from all of us.
