There's something almost funny about the people who cross the street or head downtown on Atlantic Avenue looking for the "best" place to eat, when a little piece of another world is sitting right here in Delray Beach. You could spend 20-plus hours flying to Greece, fighting jet lag and chasing some little taverna by the sea--or you can sit down here and let Charlie, the owner, take you there one plate at a time. What struck me most was the attention to freshness. Charlie clearly understands something that gets lost in a lot of restaurants: great food doesn't need to hide behind a lot of tricks. The octopus tastes like it has just come out of the Mediterranean. The feta plate is simple but exceptional. The lamb gyro is the kind of food that makes you stop talking for a minute. And the spanakopita rolls--crispy, warm and packed with flavor--are dangerously easy to keep eating. But somewhere between the first bite and the last, you realize this isn't really about Greek food. It's about being transported. That's what the best restaurants in the world do. They give you a glimpse into another place, another culture, another way of living. Charlie brings the flavors of Greece here with a respect for the ingredients and a level of attention to freshness that is hard to fake. And maybe that's the greatest compliment I can give this place: for a little while, I forgot I was in Florida. This restaurant is such a vibe. I had dinner there and the ambience was absolutely incredible. The lanterns, the decor, the atmosphere transports you to somewhere on the Med. Chef Michael Hernandez is really bringing a unique twist and perspective to the menu and the dishes are a 10/10. I've eaten at his other restaurants and I have to say this is by far my favorite. Everything was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the Crispy Lamb Bites + the Mini Lamb Gyros. Check out their craft cocktails too - props to the mixologist as well! The entire staff was so hospitable and attentive to our table as well. 10/10 run don't walk! Went to Selini tonight for dinner, what a cute spot! Lovely decor inside, great service. Started with a Doc's Orders (cucumber cocktail), and the spreads appetizer. Next, pesto linguine and pastichio. The pesto linguine was delicious, and I would definitely come back and order it again. The pastichio was tasty but way too big. We didn't have room for dessert, but I would like to come back and try the baklava-misu dessert as well as the mini espresso martini flight! Definitely recommend making a reservation here for date night. read more

I don't know how this place is not packed every night. The food and ambiance is maybe the best in town. We have eaten here twice, both times spectacular! The branzino is maybe the best I've had worldwide. The salmon crudo was amazing, they roast the capers and just wow, the flavor was delish. Also the beet salad is so fresh and so tasty. Loved it! I've been to Selina twice now, and it's quickly becoming a staple for me. Honestly, at this rate I might end up here every day ngl First, huge thanks to Charlie, the manager. He is perfection with cocktails. Blue label inventory, fresh made ingredients and he took the time to understand my flavor profile to create drink renditions that i would love. beyond what was simply listed. Everything was spot on. The food is bomb AND healthily sourced, a very elusive combo. Their pulled lamb bowl was awesome. The branzino had that perfect tender and slight crisp surface, and perfectly cooked, and the fingerling potatoes were fantastic. French fries gets their own paragraph. These are legitimately be the best fries I've ever had in my entire life. Fresh-cut, perfectly soft inside and crispy outside, with what tastes like a light herb seasoning that adds another layer of flavor. I sat at the bar and tbh feels like having family dinner. The entire staff is friendly and genuinely seems happy to be there. Everything is spotless, beautifully decorated, and great atmosphere and music. I came just sit at the bar to grab a late night bite and the spot was so cute. Small and intimate the bar is also small and cozy. I try a delicious cocktail that was very refreshing and it was recommended by the bartender to try the beet salad and so I did. I added chicken on top which turned out to be a chicken skewer instead of a chicken breast and the marinade was very good. The whole dish was very good and healthy a decent portion. I also tried the rice pudding for dessert. It literally tastes homemade. I highly recommend trying out this little gem of a restaurant and their olive oil was also delicious. We stopped into Selini Mediterranean for lunch and somehow turned it into a small family like style feast. There were three of us, but apparently we ordered for a table of people coming later. We split the Beet, Feta and Orange Salad, the fried zucchini, and the Selini Spreads, which were excellent and way more filling than we expected. We also had the mini lamb gyros and the grilled branzino with a side of lemon potatoes. Everything was fresh tasty, and really well prepared. The service was fantastic, and Charlie took great care of us. Attentive without hovering, which is always the sweet spot. By the end of the meal, we were completely stuffed, which of course meant we still had to look at the dessert menu. We let Charlie pick our dessert which was a smart move. We managed to split the Baklava-Misu, which is a dangerous and borderline irresponsible combination of baklava and tiramisu. Best word to describe it "decadent". Whoever came up with that dessert should probably be monitored, but also applauded. Great lunch, great service, and a very enjoyable experience. We will definitely be back, assuming we recover from the Baklava-Misu. read more

Been to Selini a few times and the experience has been uneven with some good items and some failures. Appetizers were better than main dishes - much better. We liked the spreads/dips the most and it was superior to similar restaurants and the warmed pita served with the dips was excellent. Perhaps if we just stopped at appetizers the review rating would have been higher. Its the main courses that disappointed. Lamb chops were not tender and were fatty and lacking in flavor and with a menu that is not large I was surprised that this was so bad. Lobster with pasta had a nice subtle spice but the lobster portion was skimpy and while I'm not expecting too much of what I believe will be fresh high quality lobster for $52 I am expecting tender lobster to justify the cost. Nope, didn't get tender lobster and much of it was chewy. Baklava for dessert was good as was service and I think service is their strong point. I was conflicted between a two and three star and at this price point I expected better. I went with three in the absence of fractions or decimals but this is probably a 2.5. read more

Surprised to hear this place just opened because it was outstanding. We live in Manhattan and are sad we can't go all the time. I don't even like endive but the tuna endive salad was excellent- it was a very thin layer of tuna salad with endive on top so you could scoop the tuna onto endive leaves. Seasoned so perfectly. Greek salad had perfect tomatoes and a huge piece of really high quality feta. Salmon as cooked perfectly, a little crisp on the edges and very tender. It was all very fresh and thoughtful. When the restaurant is empty it would be hard to use the service of daily fresh fish delivery. Okay the fish for $50!!! I want it served liked casa d Angelo for that price. FRESH. HOT. NOT FISHY. Really bad. Potatoes.Really bad. Prices here reflect more than a casa d angelo type where it's always consistent (go to Dangelo). This Seline I wouldn't recommend. Not worth the price at all. I wish them success. But I don't want a nice family to have to spend $200 on this meal. What part of Greece does this cuisine stem from? I didn't capture the Greek authenticity. And man I love Greek food. Worst part water from broken ac was dripping into our food. It was hot A/C clearly broken. We complained and just not a comfortable dining experience with poor quality cuisine. My advise is to serve more basic Greek items and slash those prices in half - it will be great. If this restaurant wants to stay in business then they need to hire someone else to greet guests as the hostess/"manager." We came there on a busy Friday looked for parking for 20 minutes and came a few minutes late. She told us we lost our table because we were a few minutes late. Most restaurants give you a 15 minute grace period. Not only was she super rude and mean but told us we never confirmed our reservation. Meanwhile we were confirmed. We will not be coming here again, went down the block and the manager gave us a last minute table with no reservation! That's how you run a restaurant! read more

Terrible service. The steak was so chewy half of it couldn't be swallowed. They forgot the potatoes on the dish, the server took away our focaccia with the fava bean spread before we finished it. We then told our server he brought another one, and charged us $6.00 after he took it without asking. The Greek salad was primarily green peppers and onions, olives had pits, which should be pitted. We made a 5:00 reservation for a birthday dinner for a party of 7 on a Sunday. We arrived early and were waiting for them to open. Very punctually, at 5:00 on the dot, they wheeled out their hostess desk and greeted us, asking if we would like to sit inside or outside. We had not discussed that and took a moment to check with the birthday girl to find out her preference. They were very patient with us while we decided to dine inside. A moment later, we were shown to a table in a very pretty, light and bright dining room. The flowers, light fixtures, furniture and place settings were all very attractive and welcoming and the restaurant was very clean. Water was poured for us immediately and we were perusing our menus when the server approached the table and introduced herself. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name but she was a petite young woman with long dark hair and a nice smile. She was very friendly and let us know that their policy is to get a table's whole order at once, with appetizers arriving as they become ready. She also stated that they would be better able to pace our meal for us. It was hard to decide because they have so many great options! We shared a variety of appetizers such as octopus, mini lamb gyros, beet salad, crispy lamb and zucchini fries. Bread was served and it was a lovely, soft, warm foccacia, with a fava bean spread that was smooth and delicious. One person at the table ate some of it with a spoon! It was so yummy on the bread or by itself. All of our appetizers were amazing! A slightly sweet dressing topped the beet salad which was composed of chopped beets, mandarin orange sections, arugula and feta cheese with some walnuts. Excellent! A member of our group wasn't too excited about the oranges in the salad until she tried it and then she raved about what a nice addition they were. My favorite starter was the crispy lamb bites. Exactly how they sound with a crisp texture and the perfect seasoning. I may order these as an entree next time! The octopus was the most tender ever! So good! We exclaimed over everything we received even before our main courses came out. We did not feel rushed at all. They gave us some time in between to let our first course settle and to build the anticipation for what was to come next. When dinner was served, one person in our group said her filet mignon was the best she ever had, so tender she could use just her fork. The Caesar salad with the fried chicken filet was well received. Only the half roast chicken didn't get rave reviews but the person with that meal stated it was more on her taste buds than because the dish wasn't right. A few of us had the tender, cooked just right lamb chops with either the lemon potatoes or the fondant potatoes. Both of which were cooked until they were so soft and flavored so nicely. We also partook of white wine, Stella beers, and espresso martinis to accompany our food, with three of us ordering cappuccinos at the end of the meal. As it was a birthday dinner and we had dessert for later only one of us had something sweet but they said the baklava was on point as well. We were surprised to find out that Selini has only been open for five weeks as they seem to have their restaurant's function down to a science! We loved everything about this place! It is a bit of a splurge, more of a special occasion spot but we'll definitely be back because it was a fabulous meal in a pleasant setting with wonderful service! read more

I wrote a review in Google sharing my good And bad points from my visit and was met with racism and discrimination in the owners response to my review. They were able to delete the review and now they think they can get away with that behavior. Please see the review attached along with the owners response. It is a very deceiving place. The actual restaurant is very small! It looks like a half apartment. We called to get a 8pm reservation and they told us they had nothing available that they only have 9pm. When we arrived at 9pm the entire restaurant was empty, which means the girl lied on the phone. So that was already a bad taste in our mouth. Our waiter George was very kind and friendly and has nothing to do with this review. The food however , was very bland. Everything needed salt and pepper. The steak was very veryyyyy bland and hard. I don't send food back in general so it was very tough to try to eat that. The branzino however , was amazing. I think it's more seafood focused versus the steak. For 6 people our bill was $350. Overall not impressed, I would never return and very deceiving from the photos on google. Edit - adding additional information: I added a photo of the owners racist and discriminatory response to my review in case they delete it. They began attacking my character, insinuating drug use, and lied about us polishing off our plates as well. The 3 orders of steaks were all taken home and given to the dog. We did not create an issue about the steak because we were informed we cannot get any other items from the kitchen as it closed at 9:30. This was after receiving our food. I am not inconsiderate enough to send the items back or ask or any freebies. We paid our bill and left. ($450 ). Instead of apologizing or trying to rectify my experience, they began insulting me. They started writing fake reviews and even insulting me in those fake reviews as well. Truly a disappointment that this is still happening in 2026. I hope no other person of color has to experience this level of hostility. Please look at the other bad review that Karen left and how kindly they replied to it, verses what was said to me. Owners response : You stumbled in at 9:20 for a 9pm reservation, reeking of pot like you just climbed out of some "half apartment" with snoop dog. We're absolutely devastated that our cozy 2,500-square-foot indoor space didn't match your foggy Google photo fantasies--clearly, we should've Photoshopped in a palace to impress someone who mistakes it for a "half apartment." Bravo on decoding that reservation "lie," you stoned Sherlock; had you'd shown up on time instead of fashionably late in 30-degree weather, you'd have seen it yourself. How heroic of you to soldier through that "very veryyyyy bland and hard" steak without a single complaint, devouring every last bite like it was the ultimate munchies cure. And your guests? They polished off every scrap on their plates too, with zero problems until shocker, the $350 bill dropped for six people. What's truly deceiving is your profile photo...good riddance, please don't come back. Ate at Selini for the first time on Christmas Eve. Being Greek I didn't know what to expect but I always like to try Greek restaurants. The entire experience was incredible. We had lamb ribs and the grilled octopus for appetizers. Main course was spanakopita and the plate with salmon, bronzini, tuna, which were both exceptional. The staff was so attentive and polite, from the young lady at the front desk, to the waiters (we had 2) and even the owner, Charlie, came by to say hello and ask how our meal was. The restaurant is a medium size which makes it quite cozy and is decorated in light warm colors which makes it comfortable. Overall, a wonderful experience and I will definitely be going back. read more

What a nightmare!!! We had a 6:30 reservation on Sunday night for 6 of us. We were all there on time sat down and server came over and immediately stated that we had to order everything at once even before she took drink orders . We said we only wanted some appetizers and weren't sure about entrees .. she took our appetizers order and left. 10 minutes later she came back and asked what we wanted for entrees and we said we were not sure but to bring out the appetizers. At that pint she stated she never put the order in until we place full dinner order. BTW there were only 6 tables full at that time . She started to argue with us than the manager/ supervisor came over and said unless we placed entrees no order could he placed with kitchen. He was rude disrespectful and dismissive. With that we got up walked across the street and had a fabulous meal. The bill would have been over 400.00 with drinks dinner etc but they didn't seem to care... a little too cocky for a new restaurant on the Avenue.... never got to taste the food but the attitude and service was unacceptable. Do not go to this restaurant. The manager, who was also our waiter, is the rudest person that has ever served us in any restaurant and someone who clearly does not care about his guests. Four of us went and ordered appetizers, meals and two bottles of wine. Immediately upon completing our meal we were handed the check and told by the waiter/manager that we had no time left to order dessert and that we had to leave. Worse than that, after I wrote on the check as a suggestion that this is not something that a classy restaurant does, the waiter/manager came after us and said that we were no longer welcome in the restaurant. I am not a complainer and I almost never take the time to post a review like this but this very snobbish and nasty behavior is far beyond anything that I have experienced in my 71 years. The waiter/manager will surely be missing us and all of our local friends in the summer when the newness of this place wears out and the snowbirds all leave town for the summer.
