Atmosphere,The vibe leans more toward a casual, bar-style setting rather than a quiet, traditional taverna. Some people enjoy the lively energy, while others feel it's better suited for adults or a night out rather than a calm family meal. Outdoor seating is available, which is a plus for Florida weather. Overall, Taso's Greek Taverna is worth visiting if you're craving Greek food that delivers on taste. It's best for a relaxed, social outing rather than a quiet dinner. If you go in expecting good food and a lively vibe, you'll probably enjoy it. We also fret o ho for some coworkers the portions were good and delicious.

We got a spanakopita which was delicious, and came with a side of oven-baked potatoes, which were served balanced in a pyramid in a tiny round dish so none of the wedges were actually in the sauce itself. They forgot the side salads so we asked for them to go and had to wait 20 minutes for them. The appetizer assortments were sized for 1-2 people and only came with 1 dolma. The tzatziki came out and we had to ask for pita, and in our way to the table the waitress stopped to talk to the table next to us so i had to gently take the basket from her hand... The waitress was apologetic and said it was only her but there were only two other tables with a couple of people each... We were brought beer in bottles and had to ask for glasses. I saw the bartender picking up glasses two at a time and putting them back down- looking for clean ones!!! I hope these issues are brought to the attention of management because no matter how good the food is, the service is a huge part of the experience. Finally, she took my credit card and disappeared... i had to go ask another bartender who had just showed up, and he had to go look for it and bring it to me. They had already included the gratuity since we were 6 people so maybe that's why they didn't care. Opa!

But I may have wanted to keep the secret a while longer, you can't blame me! The plaza where it's located has plenty of parking, and I love that you get to seat outside if the Florida heat isn't too crazy for you. I typically like to seat at the bar, but rest assured there are plenty of tables inside as well so you can truly choose. This location has started to get busier and busier and there's a valid reason for it! But I've yet to see it fully packed, so you probably don't need a reservation. In terms of the food, there's not an item I wouldn't recommend... but I do highly suggest you try their burger dish! as well as the octopus, and of course, the lemon potatoes! I'm not even a fan of potatoes, but I love them here! This last visit, I was served by Sofia who was super kind and patient while my family finally made up their minds. We had an array of dishes, and as always, the portions were generous, and every dish we ordered was delicious!

Last night we enjoyed the Porto Carras wine made by winemakers formerly from France. I call it an adult wine with similar earthly profiles of what I call brown wines--first growth Bordeauxs. Main courses were the specials: Patagonian Toithfish "Plaki" and Laxanodolmades cabbage wrapped rice Kadden meatballs near with avgolemono (egg lemon sauce, the same used in the famous Greek soup). And did I mention that they use the ultra-premium, world renowned, and global award winning Iliada Gold Extra Virgin Olive? And then there's the amazing staff and even better hosts, Viktoria and Erik! I can't wait to return!

So beautifully decorated in the blue of the sea outside and inside. The ambience was relaxing and gave a feeling of being there. The staff and owner made sure everything was okay at all times. We ordered the hummus and tazicki with fresh pita and olives to start. My son said the olives have a dressing like no other and wanted to know what they use to make it. The server brought a complimentary red pepper dip which was a little spicy for me but good. Followed by the Avgolemono soup @ chicken soup bases with lemon that I never had before but was so flavorful that it brought comfort immediately. I had to order the Akena (sp) blue martini drink made with raspberry vodka and blue curacao to compliment the Mediterranean feel. It was smooth and sweet. Finally, came the entree I ordered Moussaka which was a quite generous portion cooked perfectly with the sauce and so delicious . I had to take some home because it was quite a large portion. My son ordered the lamb roast with a boastful flavor , he did say he still preferred the chops flavor but the portion again was large. The price for the food is quite reasonable for the portions served. They have lunch specials and belly dancers on certain days, Fridays and Saturdays and also cater to any parties too. Chef Gianni prepared authentic dishes. He originally was at a restaurant in NY and opened this one. I believe his wife also works there and was pleasant and invited our return to see the belly dancers . I will definitely be returning here maybe on a weekend next time to see the show.

The place is pretty, they put effort in the design and decoration, with a nice photo-op spot at the entrance. Service was great, attentive and quick. Food and drinks came out fairly quick too. We really enjoyed their version of "bread service", warm pita bread with house made hummus and mixed olives. The menu is a bit limited, and this is why I took a star off. Can see a picky eater having a bit of hard time deciding on a dish. For me, it was no issue at all. The seafood risotto, from their specials, called my attention immediately. The ambiance was a bit like a club(in fact it turns into a club vibe later at night) We had our server right away. Nice guy but we were asking questions about the drinks and I guess he was too young to have takes on the wine menu so we got another gal. I tried their Greek wine and it was surprisingly good. It was chilled which I don't care for in a red, but still good. The pita and hummus they dropped on the table to snack on was a nice perk. For a meal I got the Moussaka. It's a Greek dish that's sorta like a bowl of lasagna. It was good, it was missing some spice or kick in my opinion. But still good. We will be back to try some other dishes soon.
