    Gyro sandwich

Best Greek food! Warmly greeted by George. Ordered the appetizer spanakopita. Excellent and big enough to be an entree. Wife got the souvlaki and I got the gyro. Both of us got the side Greek salad that was included. The side salad was much larger than I expected. The ingredients were all in the right proportions. The gyro and souvlaki were excellent. Started with complimentary pita and tzatziki sauce. The whole meal was outstanding and plentiful as only Greeks can do.

The best Grecian platter! Flavor flavor and more flavor. Friendly staff. The place is not fancy but always busy and for good reason. Prices are reasonable. Indoor/outdoor seating with a covered patio.

My parents and grandparents love coming here for the quality of food and good prices. The favs are the gyro and the lamb chops. The lamp chops are huge, lots of meat and they give you 5 of them. Seasonings were perfect, one was a little too salty but overall cooked to perfection. I love the side of the lemony potatoes and a salad. For two sides and the meal of lamb chops for $38 you can't beat that for the portion and quality. I split the meal with my grandma and I saw other people splitting meals as well. No splitting charge! And no charge for using a credit card. The gyro platter and gyro sandwich are huge and the meat is succulent. You can see them carving it off the spits in the front. On a Saturday night at 6:30 the place was packed but we only waited 10 min to sit inside when we were told 20. They are very quick but they don't rush you out. Service is excellent and attentive. It's loud if seated inside. My grandma had a tough time hearing me. Even if you are not a Greek food fan like me I recommend to try this place. I don't usually like tzatziki sauce or feta but I like them both here! They also give you complimentary pita.

Chris' Taverna remains a popular place for Greek food because, simply put, it's good food. We enjoyed our recent visit. The service was excellent and the portion sizes were quite large. Upon seating, the server promptly gave us a plate of warm, fresh pita bread and a house-made tahini for dipping. Great way to start dinner! For my dinner, I had the chicken caesar salad wrap with french fries. It was delicious, and I could barely finish it because it was so large. My wife had the chicken santorini, which had been recommended by a friend. It consisted of grilled chicken with sauteed tomatoes, feta cheese, onions and rice. The proportion of chicken to the other ingredients was a bit light, but the flavors were good, and she'd pass along the recommendation to others. Note: a shrimp version of this dish is also available. For her side dish, my wife had hummus. It was a good-sized portion and had a pleasant taste although it was a little thinner than she had expected. Our friends had the pastitsio, which is essentially a Greek version of lasagna, with layers of macaroni and ground beef. Very dense and delicious. They had plenty of leftovers. The atmosphere is okay but a bit dated, as the walls were filled with photographic murals of Greek cities. The overhead fluorescent lighting was a little harsh. We certainly had no trouble seeing our food. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience and will be back sooner rather than later.

Once again I searched for and found an incredible Greek spot. The food is above par and the service was great. The ambiance takes me to Greece. I love this place. I will be back with my Greek wife to get her opinion. I'm sure she will like it.

The best Greek food I have ever had. I order take out 3-4 times per week from here. My go to is the grilled chicken or octopus Greek salad which comes with free pita bread and Tzatziki sauce and rice stuffed grapes leaves (my favorite). The salad is huge and fresh, you must try this place.

I was visiting friends, and since her family is pretty big, this has become their go-to restaurant. She mentioned that the staff never hesitates when a large party walks in and always accommodates everyone without making it feel like an inconvenience. The dining room is one large, open space with tables throughout, creating a lively atmosphere. I absolutely loved it. It was filled with people enjoying incredible food, and you could tell this place was a local favorite. Of course, I had to start with one of their Greek beers, served in a traditional beer mug, which was the perfect way to kick off the meal. We also ordered the tzatziki and hummus sampler, and I'm so glad we did. The flavors were unbelievable, and they were incredibly generous with the warm pita bread. Honestly, I ate so much of the sampler that by the time it came to order my entrée, all I could manage was a piece of grilled chicken. Even then, I found myself dipping the chicken into the hummus and tzatziki because they were just that good. I left completely full, happy, and even had leftovers to take home. The staff was fantastic--everyone worked together seamlessly, helping one another and making sure every table was taken care of. It created such a welcoming atmosphere. After eating here, it's easy to understand why this restaurant has so many outstanding reviews. The food, service, and overall experience absolutely live up to the hype.

The space was clean with plenty of seating, and the staff was warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in. They gave me time to browse the menu without any rush, and were ready to take my order the moment I decided. I went with the Falafel and Eggplant Pita Wrap, ordered exactly as it comes -- five crispy handmade falafels, roasted eggplant, hummus, tomato and cucumber salad, purple cabbage slaw, white onions, tomatoes, pickles, and lemon tahini sauce. What I loved about the presentation was how they sliced the pita and stuffed the toppings inside the pocket, then placed the eggplant and falafel on the outside before wrapping everything up tightly. It made for a much easier, cleaner eat -- no toppings tumbling out with every bite! My first bite was amazing. The fresh flavors really shined, the falafels were perfectly crispy, and the eggplant had that deep, savory roasted flavor. Every topping complemented the others beautifully, and I walked away completely satisfied. I am so happy I found this fast and healthy option close by! I also grabbed a baklava and a mango sparkling probiotic drink -- both delicious. Beyond the food, they have soft drinks, tea, and lemonade, plus a sauce bar with vinegar and oil if you want to customize your meal even further. Overall, an excellent experience from start to finish. I can't wait to come back and try their other menu options!

Our reservation was honored, we did not have a wait. The restaurant felt like we were in Mykonos, lots of blue and white and photos from Greece. I love the open kitchen with a huge charcoal grill. There was a patio in the back and a big party room that can accommodate 80 with a very nice family style menu. Martha waited on us and she was attentive. Initially, we felt very rushed with the wine menu taken away before we all had a chance to look. Minutes after our appetizers came out our entrées were placed on the table. The manager was very accommodating and was able to slow our meal down so we could enjoy each other's company as well as the food. The menu looks delicious with lots of healthy salads, soups, hot, and cold mezze, fish, kebabs, grilled meats and all the Greek dishes that I love. The most difficult part was making a choice. Happily all six of us chose something different. I enjoyed my Greek white wine and started with a scallop appetizer while my husband had calamari and we shared the roasted lamb entree. The scallops were grilled to perfection, juicy on a bed of orzo with spinach and vegetables. The roasted lamb was so tender, sweet and flavorful. Friends enjoyed their salads, stuffed peppers, Bronzino and shrimp. Portions were generous they were really family style. We enjoyed the assorted tray of Greek desserts, sampling the rice pudding, and baklava.

This was my first visit and my first time trying them, and I was impressed by how many options they offer. The customization is extensive without feeling overwhelming, and everything looked fresh and well maintained. I went with the falafel bowl, built over rice and lettuce, and one standout detail was that they offered three different rice options. I chose the lentil rice, which had excellent flavor and added a nice depth to the bowl. All of the toppings, condiments, and add-ons tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The falafel itself was satisfying, and the overall meal felt balanced--filling without being heavy. It gave that ideal healthy, energized feeling rather than leaving me sluggish afterward. Beyond the food, the restaurant itself was very clean, which always matters in a fast-casual setting, and the service stood out. The staff was welcoming, and the manager came by our table several times to check in and make sure everything was going well, which added a personal touch that you don't always get in this style of restaurant. Overall, a very solid first experience. Fresh food, strong service, clean environment, and plenty of options. There are several different types of proteins, and as a pesco-vegetarian, I was pleased to see tofu as an option. There's falafel too! (The tofu was well seasoned and not bland little cubes of food.) You can do a bed of greens, pita, hummus, or rice as your base. I went with the rice which was deliciously seasoned, though (spoiler alert!) next time I might go with hummus. There are many fresh herbs options for toppings, including spices and sauces. All the vegetables were crispy, and the portions were generous. The price point is fair and what you would expect to see at similar restaurants. I wish Olive U were closer to my home, because it's a great fresh option if you're looking for a quick take-home meal as well. I usually ate here at least twice a month or more for six years. And brought guests constantly . The food was always well prepared and at a reasonable price. The owner was always very friendly. BUT I will never again go back to Sofra after my experience last night. Last night I went with a couple of people that I had raved about this restaurant to. The owner, who certainly must've recognized me from the countless times I've eaten there in five years, barely grunted at me and the vibes I got from him were not very welcoming. He seemed really angry about something and was taking it out on his customers. There was only one other table that had customers and this was a Friday night. I found that really odd because other restaurants surrounding Sofra had lots of people sitting outside eating at their restaurants I ordered a falafel plate and others at our table ordered the İskender and another entrée. I practically passed out when I got the bill because I guess I didn't check the prices when I was ordering. The falafel plate, which was basically a spoonful of salad, a spoonful of rice, a few hard burned falafel, soup and a dribbling of tahini was $33. This is obscene. When this restaurant first opened they were charging for the same plate $15 and then they went to $25 after a few years which I thought was pretty high for the food we were getting but $33 is just plain greedy. I won't even do a review on the other two entrées because my party could barely eat them. I now see why there was nobody, literally nobody in this restaurant on a Friday night. And the owner, what happened to him? he used to be such a friendly guy and now he is just an angry man. The waitress never went back to check on us and refill our water after taking our order. Despite only two tables with customers in this restaurant. I read some of the reviews where owner says he hates the fucking country so why doesn't he just leave? There's plenty of really good Mediterranean restaurants that are not going to charge this kind of money for Mediterranean food. Even if the felafel was the best falafel I've ever eaten in my entire life - $33 is crazy. And it was not very good felafel - in fact all the food is mediocre. Where it once was amazing. So my suggestion to the owner is to lower his prices, improve the quality of his food and improve his attitude

The salads had tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, onions, pepperoncinis, and romaine lettuce topped with feta cheese and dressing. There was also a small rice stuffed grape leaf -- cut in half. The salad could have been a meal in itself. The moussaka was layered egg plant and potatoes with a ground beef filling topped with cinnamon béchamel sauce. The pasticchio is the Greek version of lasagna but with elbow macaroni. Both portions were quite filling. I ate my dish and he brought half of his home. He was saving room for dessert. For dessert, he had galaktoboureko which is a custard filled pastry topped with simple syrup. He said it was good, but it would have been better if warmed. Or at least if the syrup was warm.
