Let me start out by saying, I have never had Greek food. I was recommended by one of our guest to eat here during our podcast interview. Rene the owner helped me figure out what I wanted to eat. This Gyro set the golden standard. It was packed to the brim with lamb and fresh veggies. The tzatziki sauce was delicious. We devoured our food and Gus brought us baklava dessert which we just ate with our hands. Fn sweet and crunchy. The ambiance was modern and very clean, the customers were in and out picking up orders. $17 pork souvlaki platter. Came with three small pieces of lemon potato and one pork kebab. The meat was not well seasoned, and the lemon potato's had no hint of lemon. I dropped in over the weekend to get baklava. I ended up getting the gyro, fries, and baklava. It was my first time getting Greek fries. It came with large pieces of cheese. Can't say that I'm a fan. It was okay. The baklava was great! Sweet and not too expensive for two pieces. The gyro was so big I took it home to finish. I really liked the various sodas they had to offer. Great spot for lunch! We had a group of 7 and they were pretty quick with very good daily specials (ex. $5.55 for super gyro). Our group tried a variety of options, including the lamb gyro, chicken souvlaki, and falafel pita. No complaints. I didn't realize Chicken Souvlaki was big chunks of chicken, unlike the lamb gyro that is sliced very thin, so it was a little harder to eat. The spicy feta dip was orange, I assume from a Buffalo sauce, which is not exactly what I was anticipating for the side so I probably won't get that again. My wife and I decided to stop back at Souvlaki Time after not eating her for a few years. Reviewing my last Yelp review it seems that I was pretty happy with the meal. I gave them 5 stars at the time. This time around we dined in and had dinner with 6 people. We got an assortment of gyros, burgers and the spanokopita all of which came with sides and salad. I got the chicken gyro, a side of grilled vegetables, salad and hummus. When I walked in, I saw the lamb and chicken gyro spinning on the hot rotisserie. So I was like, that's what's gonna be good! However, my chicken was definitely not fresh and it was not very good either. It was served lukewarm and was also very dry and overcooked. The seasoning was good but damn, very dry and very lukewarm. Not the best. My side was not amazing. It was supposed to be grilled veg, but it was more like a sautee. It was mostly zucchini and onions and for some reason they put in a ton of olives as well which gave the entire sautee an overpowering olive flavor and a black olivey sauce, which I was not expecting. I really didn't like it. The salad was good. Better than a basic salad for sure. Very fresh too. The hummus was bland and very average. I tasted some of the other dishes and I was a bit disappointed with those. The lamb gyro was flavorful but also was not nearly hot enough. The fries were also not directly out of the fryer. They were OK, but definitely not fresh. Later on in our meal, one of our party ordered more fries and those were fresh and delicious. But the original batch was not. Finally, I tried the burger and it had some sort of vinegary finish that was very off-putting. I have no idea why a burger would be vinegary but it definitely wasn't good to eat and it was abandoned with about 90% remaining. Overall, this meal was not very good. They did have some decent moments here and there, but as a whole, the meal disappointed me. Not sure what has changed since 2014, but it's sadly a change for the worse. After spending the afternoon at Spanish River park, this is my favorite spot to pick up and enjoy at home. If you decide to dine in you'll be able to enjoy the wall art by contemporaneous artist. They have good daily specials, budget friendly. Souvlaki time has never failed me. Food is excelent, good amount and fast service. As good as gyro and souvlaki gets! Over stuffed pitas or large platters that are as delicious as they are authentic. There are a few tables outside and in, but many people just take away. Previous take out order, we ordered a gyros and they forgot the tzatziki sauce. This time, I called in the take out order and was given #46 for our order. Not sure why they can't use last names like any other business. My husband went to pick up the order and was told there was no order #46...the woman behind the counter was quite rude to my husband. She finally figured out the order # was 47. When she gave my husband the order, he asked if the tzatziki sauce was in the bag and she barked at him yes. He opened it onsite and there was no sauce again. When my husband told her there was no sauce, she was once again rude to him but did give him the sauce when he showed her there was no sauce in the bag. Update 4-16-24 Decided that I would give this place another try because it's been a while. It's no better. It's actually worse in my opinion. French fries were definitely from yesterday. The salad was shreds of lettuce with onion and little tiny pieces of tomato unlike it used to be the meat was OK but definitely overdone on the flat top. The bread was greasy. The Gyro platter over $16 but I did add the 1.25 extra meat option. Will be my last visit. There's other places in the neighborhood that are better. I do not recommend this place anymore.. read more

Great Friday Deal on Gyro $6 before tax add Greek fries and a Drink $4 comes to under $13 after I tipped and tax. Great quick fast food gyro. Very filling, meat was juicy not dry. Fries a lot drier than expected but with lemon juice on top brought them back to life. Love a good gyro deal read more

Greek food lover here. The food is "ok". I ordered the Souvlaki player. The rice didn't have salt and the chicken was overly seasoned. But it seems to be fresh. I ordered and decided to eat it on the spot, I was served with to go box and everything disposable. Just don't go to the bathroom, it will remind you of a public "train station" bathroom. Nice clean establishment, nice staff. The reason for the 3 star rating is that I just felt their souvlaki sandwich which had plenty of meat, was just way too salty for my taste. The meat itself is very salty, and then they add feta which takes it to the next level. I would return because I do like their tzatziki and perhaps I will try chicken next time. I couldn't finish my sandwich due to the saltiness but perhaps I will have better luck with a different sandwich. I also tried their Spicy feta fries. This business must have been bought out. Formally called "Souvlaki Fast", it was a great place to go on Tuesdays for a cheep $5 lunch. Now it seems that discount lunches are offered daily. We went on a Sunday and got a great deal on a lunch meal with a half baked lemon chicken along with feta fries and a drink for under $6. Another time, we picked up two chicken mes to go and it was enough food for four of us to eat. Now with the Covid-19 pandemic, pick-up is recommended. There is also socially distanced seating outside for a few customers. Now in the winter months in FL, it is also another option during Covid-19 times. The restaurant also has indoor seating. It has a very pleasant atmosphere. In fact, you actually feel like you are dining out in Greece! For a decent, reasonably-priced meal; this is your place to go! read more
