My veggie pita - large and I finished it all! delicious

Always a positive experience for us. Tuesday night dinner : pita specials $6.39. A great bargain. Love their French fries too. Perfect evening for sitting outside at the patio tables.

I walked into Souvlaki Fresh the other day and remarked "it's been quite some time since I've been here, it looks the same but the staff are different". And when preparing this review I noticed that there was one from me, 12 years ago! Wow, how could I have stayed away so long?? The interior is simple. Counters and bar stools. Tables for 4. Not many. And lots of pictures of scenes from Greece. And the menu on the wall, up high, with some photos of the various food items. Cold box with non alcoholic drinks. It was immaculate in the sitting area. And the area where the food was being cooked was also immaculate, salad prep area was neat and orderly. All staff weee wearing gloves while preparing food. The cashier, Jacky, spoke fluent English. The other staff might have spoken English but seemed shy. But when I asked if it was OK to take some photos and post on YELP,! They all said yes, and smiled. I hope I have caught those smiles as they were warm and welcoming. We ordered to take home. Most people entering were either picking up orders which were called in or placing an order and waiting, like us. We ordered falafel, which was tasty, but I thought expensive for their size and quantity (small and 6 of them). We also have the Chicken Souvlaki Pita and it was also tasty. The orders were packed neatly and withstood the 5 minute drive home. Next time we will order different dishes to see how they appeal to us. But I won't be ordering the falafel as it was just too small. Two little bites and it was gone. Parking is right outside their door and can be a challenge depending on day of week and time of day. The landlord used to employ a security guard to watch the vehicles being parked and where their owners were going. He would run after and say get out of that spot. It was effective. Many drivers would park here and then walk across the street to Mizner Park. They need rhat security guard back. Quick. I've rated 5 stars as the quality of food and severice warrants it. But you will not be getting any bargains here. Make sure you have enough $$

This was $21, I've had enough salads and Greek salads to know the difference between iceberg and romaine lettuce. This salad is 100% iceberg. The pita bread is stale and I only got 2 olives and this tiny piece of salmon. I will never order from them ever again.

This place earns its 5 stars for its consistency. The gyro is always good, always tasty, prepared well, packaged well and delivered quickly. All for a very reasonable price. The gyro meat is flavorful and nicely seared, the tat Zika sauce ( I know I'm spelling that wrong) is creamy and delicious and the pita is always soft. Gyro and a can of iced tea for under $10! Now THAT is a deal. Service is friendly as well. Seating outside is nice and on Tuesday's and Friday's they have gyros for $5.61! Can't beat that with a baseball bat!

The food here is really good and you get a taste of Greece while being in Boca Raton. This is a small shop that looks to be family owned. I did do a lamb and beef souvlaki pita. It was definitely worth the wait during their rush. They have a sweet Greek yogurt for a dessert that had cranberries, walnuts and honey. This is a small place so I wouldn't have a huge group of people. Parking here is limited so you may have to park in Mizner park.

Gyro Pita and Greek Fries (got a little messy because of the car ride back home)

Very Good. When I entered Souvlaki Fresh I was greeted by the Cashier. Very friendly! I ordered a Gyro Pita along with Greek Fries. The Gyro meat tasted very fresh and not too oily. Their vegetables such as the tomatoes, lettuce, and onions that came inside of the Pita had tasted fresh and delicious as well. Their fries were nice and crispy even 10 minutes after ordering. FRESH is a constant theme that you will find at Souvlaki Fresh ( I guess they live up to their name). Definitely coming back here again. I went on a weekday in the afternoon so there wasn't much of a wait. As I left the store the cashier and cooks had waved goodbye! If you're looking for a great Greek take out place in East Boca, this place is for you!

Food looked like it had been fried then refried. So a lot of thrown out food. Too bad. Salad was good.

Ask the Community - Souvlaki Fresh

The business description still is referring to it as Souvlaki "Fast"...the name must have recently changed to Souvlaki "Fresh"... is it still the same food? Same owners? What, if anything, has changed?

Same owners and yes the food is just as good.

Well full (and the place is very popular) the noise level is LOUD! I believe they have outside dining as well. Weather permitting this might be a wise choice.

Our reservation was honored, we did not have a wait. The restaurant felt like we were in Mykonos, lots of blue and white and photos from Greece. I love the open kitchen with a huge charcoal grill. There was a patio in the back and a big party room that can accommodate 80 with a very nice family style menu. Martha waited on us and she was attentive. Initially, we felt very rushed with the wine menu taken away before we all had a chance to look. Minutes after our appetizers came out our entrées were placed on the table. The manager was very accommodating and was able to slow our meal down so we could enjoy each other's company as well as the food. The menu looks delicious with lots of healthy salads, soups, hot, and cold mezze, fish, kebabs, grilled meats and all the Greek dishes that I love. The most difficult part was making a choice. Happily all six of us chose something different. I enjoyed my Greek white wine and started with a scallop appetizer while my husband had calamari and we shared the roasted lamb entree. The scallops were grilled to perfection, juicy on a bed of orzo with spinach and vegetables. The roasted lamb was so tender, sweet and flavorful. Friends enjoyed their salads, stuffed peppers, Bronzino and shrimp. Portions were generous they were really family style. We enjoyed the assorted tray of Greek desserts, sampling the rice pudding, and baklava.

It did NOT disappoint. Yes there was a smidge too much Taziki sauce, but that's easily remedied by asking for it on the side next time. I've already done a review on this place before and I'll get out the way that saying this place was great. But, there were 2 things worth noting for this update. 1) my family has actually been here already 5 times (including this one) which says a lot about the consistency here! And 2) we tried some different dishes worth noting below! The chicken pita wrap was saucy, had tender strips of chicken breast, and fresh veggies! Falafel wrap tasted homemade; instead of lead sinkers, these balls were airy and not greasy - yum! The gyro platter was awesome - gyro wasn't overly tough, and had aromatic flavors! Don't skip out on getting for a $1 more the greek salad side; definitely worth it! Overall, I still can't recommend this spot enough. Rating still reigns Supreme- 5/5!
