Having lived in Ankara and Alma-dag, Turkey while in the Air Force I acquired a love of all foods Turkish. My wife and I have some really good experiences with Turkish cuisine, stateside, and are always on the lookout. My wife had bookmarked ROKA and we stopped here to give them a try. Located at the Northwestern corner of a gas station lot, it was easy to spot the Roka Turkish Cuisine food truck and the tables and umbrellas set up for hungry diners. After looking over the large menu sign we stepped up to the window and placed our order. We started with some regular Hummus which was creamy, a drizzle of olive oil and some crispy chickpeas on top. My wife gave me the large garlic cloves included. DELICIOUS! The Roka Kofte Kebab was a large platter of the perfectly seasoned ground beef, (plenty for both of us), Large salad and warm pita bread. Not on the menu, but when I asked the chef/owner for Chai, he gladly said he would brew some for us! Wow! My all-time favorite middle eastern dessert is Kunefe, especially if it is Turkish Kunefe. This visit we were introduced to a (new to us) dessert called Kazandibi, a burnt flan with cinnamon and a sweet creamy inside. Such great food and service! Don't miss this wonderful food truck culinary experience!

We had a fantastic lunch here. We both love Turkish food. I've had this place bookmarked for some time. A cool day when we were in the area gave us the perfect opportunity to try them. The food truck is situated in a corner of the gas station. We were able to find a parking spot nearby. There are several tables out front. Some have umbrellas. The menu is posted on a sign standing near the truck as well as in the window. This is where you order and pay. The chef/owner brought our food to us at our table. We had some regular hummus to start. The hummus was perfectly creamy and had several crispy fried whole chick peas on top. There were some whole roasted garlic cloves in it as well. The hummus was very good. We shared a main plate of their kofte kebab. There was a lot on this plate! We each had three pieces of the tasty seasoned ground beef in tomato sauce topped with yoghurt along with the salad and pita bread. We enjoyed some chai along with an order of their Turkish burnt flan. We had never tried this kazandibi dessert before. It had a lot of cinnamon on a sweet puddling interior. It reminded me of creme brûlée and was addictive. So glad we had the chance to try their food. My husband even got to use his bit of Turkish language. This lunch was one of the better Turkish meals we have had -- which was made even mire delightfully surprising that it was from a truck! Try then.

What a great Turkish food truck! It's hard to find Turkish food without doner and this place was one of them! We tried several items on the menu and they were all very delicious. Kavurma was cooked very well, very soft and flavorful. Comes with rice with chickpeas and salad. Very delicious. Kofte platter was our favorite! If you know Turkish cuisine, garlic yogurt is used in the dishes and this platter was truly delicious if you like garlic yogurt. Koftes (Turkish style meatballs) were grilled and topped with tomato sauce and garlic yogurt. Underneath that pide bread was cooked with butter. Combination of those two along with rice and salad was truly amazing. Just be open minded to try it out! They have so many good and unique Turkish food that you won't find anywhere else. We will definitely come back to try other items on the menu!

Perfectly cooked and deliciously seasoned! The Chicken Shish tasted 100% cooked on the grill, the Kofte with the yogurt sauce was so filling and refreshing. Service was quick, food came out hot and perfectly portioned. First time trying turkish food and we will definitely be back! Restaurant quality! Nicely decorated, don't get fooled by the gas station. Their picnic style benches and umbrellas take it up a notch. Don't miss your chance to try it! Thank you K!

OMG. WOW. Absolutely banging and blazing ! What a find. It's always the food trucks at a gas station that are the true hidden gems of the foodie scene. Soooo good. I'd say more but it's getting cold lol

Manti & Kavurma over Pilav

The owner was super kind and gave us excellent service. The food was incredible and portions were super large. My girlfriend and I came hungry but still left with tons of leftovers. Highly recommend the Manti, it's an absolute must try. Overall great experience and I would 100% go back!

Tzatiki

Superb service, food, and environment. The cutest food truck with the nicest chefs. We ordered the hummus, tzatziki, chicken kebab dinner, and filet kebab sandwich. The portions were generous, everything was outstanding! and The accompanying pita was hot, fresh, and delicious! Easy to park and super clean. A hidden gem in Delray!

The food was some of the best Turkish food I have had in Florida. I got Kokoreç and honestly it looked and tasted just like it did in Istanbul. The 2 owners who took my order were polite, had a smile on every time they talked to me and my wife. They are located in the parking lot of a chevron gas station but I didn't have any issues when it came to parking. They hung some string lights up and have 2 picnic tables to sit at and have decorated the surrounding area with plants and play music off their speaker. I will rate this place a 10/10 especially if you want home cooked Turkish foods you might not be able to find in your area.

Worth the price. Worth the wait. We are lacking spots in Delray that are quick and delicious. This is one of those places.

Beswick's is a small, dainty, pink café that looks like it's straight out of a movie. The aesthetic is perfect for pictures and there were even some girls taking photos there! I ordered the bourbon vanilla iced latte. It was mind blowing. The coffee was bold, but smooth. The flavoring was sweet, but not too sweet! It was exactly the fresh, flavorful, bold thing I needed to start my morning. I was intending to get something from their breakfast menu, but I was quickly swayed by the bakery case. I opted for the chocolate chip banana bread and I knew I definitely make the right choice after the first bite! It was dense, moist, and the chocolate chips were so large and chunky. I came here with a friend and it was such a peaceful experience. This café might be small, but it is mighty. It has clearly made a positive impact on the community because the entire time I was here, people were coming in and out to satisfy their coffee needs give it a shot if you're looking for a new café!

I had a coconut matcha latte (one of the specials), with the British brunch sandwich. My hubby (over)ordered and got the farmhouse brunch bowl and the prosciutto, mozz and basil toastie. The food is a good portion, so we ended up taking the brunch bowl home for later. Both sandwiches were well put together on quality bread, and I especially loved the salted boiled egg! There is some indoor and outdoor seating and a small parking lot in the back that can be a tight squeeze. Love the greenery surrounding the outdoor patio which improves the ambiance and makes you forget that you are sitting right by the road. Would come back again!

The Delray spot is larger with an organized process into the familiar mess of ordering at a deli -- each table has a pager placemat which makes order delivery smooth. I went with my longtime regular Western omelette sandwich. Everything here is solid -- iced coffee, lunch (Reuben's, pastrami), salads, breakfast (smoked salmon platters, egg sandwiches). Bagels With is a local legend for the delicatessen aficionado.

The bagels here are fresh enough that they don't need a toaster to begin with, which is exactly why I asked for it untoasted. Even with the unnecessary trip through the toaster, it was still a really good sandwich. The tuna salad is creamy, well seasoned, and they even let me sample it before ordering, which is always appreciated. Confidence in your food says a lot. The pickle on the side had that perfect crisp snap every good deli pickle should have. The only thing that missed the mark was the macaroni salad. The flavor is there, but the pasta was overcooked and a little mushy. If they tighten that up, it's an easy win. The restaurant itself is surprisingly large, clean, and comfortable, and everyone I dealt with was genuinely friendly. Overall, this is the kind of neighborhood bagel shop you hope to find. Good food, good people, and just enough personality to make you want to come back.

Growing up in New York, Sunday was often the day the family would go out for Chinese food. So when…read moreI saw Chef Michael's video the other day announcing he was going to start offering Egg Rolls on Sundays, I immediately remembered wanting to try the BBQ Chinese Spareribs already on his regular menu. I started thinking... if the Chinese food at Flybird is anywhere near as impressive as everything else they do, this could be a revelation... especially considering the dearth of really good Chinese food in South Florida. So I waited for Sunday with anticipation. Yes... they had Egg Rolls! And I also noticed they recently added Egg Drop Soup to the regular menu. Perfect... now I could assemble a complete meal. In addition to the Egg Rolls, I ordered the Egg Drop Soup, BBQ Chinese Ribs, and Chicken Fried Rice. Wow! Winner Winner Chinese Dinner!! Everything was excellent. The Egg Drop Soup is rich and heartier than the versions you typically see... absolutely delicious. The Egg Roll is hand-rolled and feels like a gourmet interpretation... exactly what you'd expect if a serious chef decided to elevate a classic, served with housemade Duck Sauce and Chinese Mustard. The BBQ Ribs were also fantastic... fall-off-the-bone tender, meaty, and loaded with flavor. And then there's the Chicken Fried Rice... unlike any version you've probably had before. It's packed with generous chunks of chicken and real vegetables throughout. Broccoli in fried rice? When have you ever seen that? A huge portion too... loved it. Everything here always seems to be done with thought and care. We're lucky to have a serious chef like Michael bringing his culinary talent and creativity to Delray Beach. He keeps finding ways to surprise people... and that's a big part of what makes Flybird so much fun. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
